Stephanie Woodfield (Brookfield, CT) has been a practicing Witch for over fourteen years and a Priestess for ten years. Her lifelong love of Irish mythology led to a close study of Celtic Witchcraft. A natural clairvoyant and empath, she has worked as a tarot card reader and is ordained as a minister with the Universal Life Church.

This book... WOW!
This book is amazing and I will recommend it to anyone and everyone who is interested in starting to worship a deity. Seriously, it is THAT good! I'm gonna be doing a more in-depth review on my blog, because this book freaking deserves it, but just know that if you're on a fence on reading this book: READ IT! It's amazing.

Li este livro a propósito do BookClub do Refúgio da Bruxaria.

Desde há muito tempo que a minha relação com o divino é aquela de um puro ódio. Odeio o mono-deus, odeio que seja obrigatório acreditar no mono-deus. Por isso fiquei um pouco de pé atrás com este livro, afinal o que me pode ensinar um livro sobre deuses se eu no me los gusta?

Apesar disso, foi uma leitura bastante interessante, com exemplos práticos muito claros e uma escrita limpa, que me demonstrou que a atitude com o divino pode até ser recíproca e interessante. Existem três secções que falam de níveis diferentes de proximidade com o tal divino: na primeira, a de dedicação, não aprendi grande coisa pois a estrutura de orações e tudo o mais é muito semelhante ao que já conhecia; para a devoção já se exigem mais responsabilidades; e para o sacerdócio o envolvimento é tal que servir o deus equivale a servir a comunidade.

Foi um livro que me inspirou de tal forma a que cheguei a procurar ajuda divina para um problema que tive. Agora resta saber quem me ajudou.

Great book, very informative. The information Stephanie provides is practical, down to earth, and not presumptuous. She has a strong "you do you" vibe that I appreciate. Her advice is profound, and it really all comes down to checking your ego at the door, and listening to what the Gods want as well as what you want in your spiritual relationship with them. Relationship with Deity is exactly that- relationship and it takes work.

Are you looking for a book to go into a no nonsense way to work with deities and spirits? This is the book for you. It goes over 3 tiers of service which let you know it is not a merit badge to get to priesthood. It is okay just to be a dedicant.

Seasoned practitioners and beginners alike need to get a copy of this book! This is the book I needed from day one when I was first invited to a ritual of initiation and was told to start deity work immediately afterwards. For so long, the discussion of what “working with” a deity actually entailed was shrouded in vague responses. This book is a must for everyone who works/worships/honors a deity. Beautifully written and explained well. This is a resource everyone needs in their possession.

Un libro molto buono per cominciare il percorso nel paganesimo. Io non sono proprio alle prime armi, quindi alcune cose le conoscevo già, ma ci sono degli esercizi alla fine dei capitoli che sono molto interessanti.
L'autrice è più orientata agli dèi celtici, ma i capitoli Dedicant e Devotee sono particolarmente interessanti, mentre, per me, Priest non è adatto ai novizi, e io non sono interessata al momento a diventare sacerdotessa.
