Scorned is the 2nd book after Jilted. In the 1st book we meet Theresa a social media darling with lots of fans. At 21 she's creating herself as a brand and now she's married to Dr. James Patrick but all is not well. Because she selfishly ignored his not close to my family, haven't spoken to them in 10 years hint they have now arrived and ruined her wedding day. Not only that she was considering a one night stand with a guy that excited her in the club. She meets Loretta, James true fiancé, Avery his uncle and wanna be leader of the pack, Ward the guy she almost made out with who wants her and the Alpha pack position that James walked away from. Since we only know what is going on from her perspective we miss out on much of what is going on with the pack, what they are thinking, even why they are doing many of the things that they are doing. I liked this book better than the first. In the first I felt Theresa was shallow and self centered, even with the things we learned about her childhood and family life. In this book you get to see her mature as a person. You watch her as she realizes the pitfalls of a social media life and that fans can't replace will friends. She also learns that love being committed to someone, their feelings and that sometimes that calls for sacrifice of self. I enjoyed the quest for fame, social media addiction and the paranormal world. I just wish a better explanation had been given of the world James came from. Maybe his mother journal could have been the bridge to explain James world. Figured out Ward agenda but what of Loretta, what of the bite to Theresa ankle?

Scorned : A Wolf Shifter Paranormal Romance (Never Marry a Shifter Book 2) Azaaa Davis To understand what is happening with book 2, you have to read book 1 first, which I did not read. Told from the females POV, she is mopey and sad after her shifter husband goes rogue.

I was glad to see a continuation of Book 1, which left me in suspense and with lots of questions. Some of those were answered for me in Book 2, which was an interesting read. There was some mystery and suspense, as well as action and drama. It was an entertaining piece that kept me reading.
An awesome story. Theresa has a new husband with a big problem. He’s stuck in a shifter shape and he’s dangerous. How will this ever change. Definitely enjoyed this story.
I'm giving this 3 stars because this is book 2 and I don't want to penalize it completely because I didn't read book 1 and didn't have full knowledge coming in; because it feels and reads like its being picked up at the last point of a first book. Having said that, Theresa, the heroine, had me shaking my head at her at times. I'll grant her that she had to absorb A LOT because she unwittingly let her husband's family back in his life in the form of a wedding she invited them to, but as it progressed to the middle of the book, she took unnecessary risks. Her husband left her alone to deal with his family and the fact that he never told her he was a shifter after he runs off in some sort of crazy shifter crisis then being dubbed a rogue wolf. She spent the book playing catch up to all of that.
Generally speaking, there was a lack of respect of her by people in her life, I found a bit off-putting. And the situation that devolved with her, her best friend, Jaz and her husband's "best friend" Alec was just...wow! If there's a book 3, we need an update on that because there just needs to be! Also, her explanation about her childhood and her parents was devastatingly sad, but explained "her" entirely.
This story also, which I didn't expect, ended up being a case study of sorts about the whole make believe world of the online persona in today's culture. The fact and fiction of it all. It was an interesting turn in the story.
In the end, there were some plot points that could have been explored more, but Theresa showed some smarts and had a real come-to-Jesus moment about herself, her choices and the people in her life. And to be honest, she needed to. James, her husband, comes back and we have a satisfying end, which is always nice.
Well I was waiting on book 2 to get into this series. This series wasn’t typical by any means - not the romance, not the storyline, not the characters. People get married for different reasons - money, love, legacy, prestige, status, fun. When you do it rather quickly, how much do you really know about the person you are marrying? Sometimes you don’t even fully know yourself. If you like quicky love, wolf shifters, with a little danger then you might like this series.
I was left with questions and the ending was rushed to me. There were things mentioned that weren’t addressed or expounded upon. Now after completing the series I was disappointed
This quick read (just over 100 pages) is the continuation of book 1, Jilted. Theresa, the social media glamorous, flirty, city girl has been abandoned by her new husband and is now feeling helpless, alone, and rejected. Interesting to watch her come to terms with her new life. Scorned has steamy romance, danger, and shifters set in current time. I enjoyed Jilted far more than Scorned, but still a good story with a satisfying conclusion.
I was sooo disappointed with this sequel, it was all over the place and did not have a clear conclusion or continuance. We still don't know if James or Ward is the good/bad guy...it left more unanswered questions but did not give what I needed to make me want to find out. So unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this book.
I didn't read book one and from what I read of book two all the female main did was feel sorry for herself. The book seems to be written from a single perspective, that of the female lead. I didn't finish the tale as I found the female main boring.

Scorned by Azaaa Davis is an awesome story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading and have been hooked since the beginning. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about wolf shifters, urban fantasy and paranormal romance.

While I like this book, I liked part 1 much better. Theresa was attracted to Ward, but her heart belonged to James even though he was now a lone wolf. Through all the lies and secrets they were able to make it back to each other. I honestly didn’t know if she was going to end up with either James or Ward. Highly recommend
I’m giving this book a rating up four stars because it was too short. Don’t get me wrong I really love the book but I need it more. I’m so glad it ended well but I need more meat with this bread if you get this book you will enjoy it.
A great second book that gives us more of this wonderful world that the author has created. I loved this and found it to be a wonderfully enjoyable read!!!
