If there is one thing that raises the ire of Marston and Holm, it's a kidnapped kid. So, when the case of a child taken in North Carolina crosses MBLIS's desk, the pair are off to investigate. But when signs point to multiple kidnappers, the pair are put on the trail of something far worse than one stolen child.
The trick is... Will Marston and Holm stay alive long enough to get to the bottom of the entire sordid affair?
Matt Lincoln has lived his entire life on the coast and he wouldn't have it any other way. A lifelong fan of Travis McGee, Magnum PI, and just about anyone who knows their way around a boat and a good cigar, Matt now lives where the sand meets the surf with his beautiful wife, a son who reminds him way too much of himself at that age, and an Irish Setter who he can never seem to tire out. Life is good.
Too much trivial narrative. I like a fast paced story, getting to the point with action. The reference to a boat as a ship was really annoying. The ending was anticlimactic. Sorry, I just was not entertained and felt I wasted my time. I skimmed over lots of it which didn't interfere with missing any of the plot. Just too wordy.
An interesting tail of hope and team work, preserving and hard work. Special circumstances force agents to work a case without their normally present sci-fi geniuses. But the one time they really want and need their help, they find away...
The Coastal Fury Series is an entertaining set of books and a great way to spend leisure time. This one had an interesting plot and was well put together. On to the next one….
Takes too long to get to the story. Drags with too much poor dialogue. Too many people rolling their eyes. I kept reading because I thought it would get better, but I’m done now. So sorry. I love a good series and this just isn’t it for me. I honestly tried. P.S. Holm needs improvement. He’s has no table manners which is disgusting to read about and he’s such a whiner!
A lot of needless bantering between characters. The end was less than exciting. Predictable. The Coast Guard investigated several caves but conveniently left the last 3 for MBLIS. How does a bunch of crooks attack a police station with FBI and police in the building take a prisoner and not a shot fired. It seems to me that this event would have had a bit more story. I enjoyed this book the least in the series.
Once again, Stolen Child has proven to be an exciting and emotional story! The subject matter is certainly an intense one, and always keeps the reader on the edge of the seat, so to speak. Lincoln certainly has a knack not only for adventure, but also for attention to detail. This book should be a must-read for adventure enthusiasts everywhere! As usual, this reader can't wait for the next in this series! Well done!
