A Vinyard Wedding: The Vinyard Sunset Series Book 8 is by Katie Winters. This series just keeps getting better and better. You usually expect a series to begin to run down when it goes beyond four books; but this one just gets better. The Sheridan family just gets bigger and bigger as each of the girls finds love in various places. Lola seems to be with Tommy who sails the world; Christine and Zach are gearing up to take care of Baby Max when Audrey goes back to school; Audrey has made peace with herself for having gotten pregnant in the first place and is making a wonderful mother to Max; Amanda has decided on law as her goal and is working side-by-side with her mother in Harris and Harris Law office on the island; and Susan has created her new life on the island as a divorcee and is now head of her own law firm and engaged to her high school sweetheart, Scott. Wes Sheridan, not giving into his growing dementia, is loving having a second chance with his girls and their families before his memories completely fade. Of course, the family cannot go very long with out some drama. Usually it is one of the girls causing the problems; but this time it is Kellen Frampton, Scott’s son. Scott had to go pick him up and bring him to the island. It was that or his mother was opting for juvie. Kellen was one angry young man. If he didn’t get control of his anger at fifteen, when would he? Being around Wes Sheridan seems to be the best thing for him. Wes does not allow him to show disrespect towards any member of his family nor anyone in his home. However, at the same time, he accepts Kellen as one of the family as he will be when Susan and Scott marry. Will the marriage go ahead as planned or will Scott back out? Will Susan get so involved in a criminal trial that she has no time for Scott or a wedding? Will Kellen be so much trouble that he causes the breakup?
I enjoy this series but have noticed editing mistakes that I find bothersome. At one point I read that Susan was staring into Vincent’s eyes. He’s the young man that was murdered. It should have been Scott’s eyes. Word choices that are spelled correctly but inappropriate for the sentence are present. I think a published book should be free of grammatical, spelling and contextual errors.

My thoughts: The legal storyline ruined this book. It was so unrealistic it was laughable, but it wasn't funny, I don't even want to talk about it. Susan is supposed to be this big-time Boston criminal lawyer, but she acts like Dora the Trial Lawyer, I just couldn't take it seriously. I also didn't care for the way they treated Kellan. The filler portions of the story almost made up for it, a little, particularly the last few chapters.
Recommend to others: Yeah, because this series needs to be read in order.

A Vineyard Wedding is book 8 in the Vineyard Sunset series by Katie Winters as we continue to follow the Sheridan family.
As this story unfolds we find Susan preparing for her wedding to Scott when something puts a monkey wrench into the plans. Scott’s son comes to stay with him but brings a major attitude along, Susan is hired for a high profile criminal case to be tried in Boston, the needs for another attorney in the practice and so much more happening.
Such a journey of love, loss, friendship, family and surviving to find life is what you make it…having a HEA!
A Vineyard Wedding by Katie Winters is another delicious tale of the Sheridan and Montgomery families. It’s finally time for Susan Sheridan and Scott Frampton to tie the knot! They fell in love as teenagers and, now, after thirty years and life intervening, it’s finally happening! What a wonderful, feel good book this is. Thank you to Katie Winters for allowing me to read an ARC of this terrific book!
Katie Winters is a story weaver of the Sheridan Family as they maneuver through life. In Book 8 of the Vineyard Series, we get a closer look at Susan Sheridan. We witness her family dynamics, her prowess ability as a criminal lawyer, her steadfast loyalty and love during turmoil times, and always her family’s love for celebrations! Great read!
Great storylines running through this book. As always they took unique flight throughout with new intriguing characters thrown into this book as well. All executed superbly.
What an exquisite story. First who doesn't love the Island of Martha's Vineyard? A family story with love, murder, unexpected life changes and a great ending!
I liked this book Kind of a different take on Susan and Scott. The trial and tibulations of the Sheridan family and significant others just gets better all the time.
It's summer on Martha's Vineyard, and the Sheridan and Montgomery families are preparing for the wedding of Susan Sheridan to her childhood sweetheart, Scott. The family with all the nieces and nephews are there to help plan and participate in the wedding. Susan has opened her own law office on the island with her daughter Amanda acting as her paralegal while finishing law school. They are approached by a man whose daughter is on trial for murdering her boyfriend in Boston. Susan accepts the case and much to everyone else's chagrin, throws herself into the case to the detriment of wedding planning and spending time with Scott. Scott is also busy with his son Kellen, who has moved to the island after having issues at his mother's and at school. It is taking some time for him to settle in, but it is grandpa Wes, that seems to get through to him.
I enjoyed this story highlighting Susan. She is a smart lady, and we finally get to see her in her role as a defense attorney. This is a high profile case and she is sure that her client is innocent. She does her own investigating, learning things that the police should have found if they hadn't decided they knew who was guilty. With lots of family around to support Susan and Scott, as well as welcome Kellen and help him adjust, things eventually fall into place. Another enjoyable story of family, love, support, and acceptance that is all wrapped up in a bit of a legal suspense story.
Book 8 in the Vineyard series. Susan Sheridan has overcome so much...being a young mother, a divorce and finally battling cancer. She is so close to marrying her high school sweetheart Scott Frampton
However, before the wedding plans can finalize, much stands in the way. Susan becomes involved in a high Profile murder case, with almost a dangerous and disastrous ending. Meanwhile Scott’s son, Kellan, suddenly arrives on the island.
Is life giving Susan more than she can handle? Can she plan a wedding, be a lawyer, and a stepmother all at once?
The love and support of the Sheridan family truly makes Life easier. The family ties make the reader wish everything will turn out exactly right. I definitely love seeing the dynamics of the family at their get togethers and celebrations.
Thank you to the author for an ARC. This review is My honest opinion.
Katie Winters' latest book in The Vineyard Sunset series is a little deceptive by the title. What one might think is a simple sweet romance is more complex than expected. Susan Sheridan must face several challenges before her wedding to her boyfriend Scott. Scott's son Kellan comes to live with him and causes some trouble in the relationship. The biggest problem, however, is the high-profile murder trial for a young woman that Susan takes over at the last minute. I really enjoyed the mystery-thriller aspect of the novel. As always, there is the importance of family and friends. I highly recommend you read this beautifully written story.
Another winner! This book is technically about Susan and Scott and their wedding - but there are tons of other back stories all over it! We get to meet Scott's son Kellan again - and the drama that ensues brings up the question - will the wedding actually happen? We also get to see Susan in action as a defense attorney - which was a nice twist. Add in the surprise pregnancy announcement, lots of fun with the rest of the Sheridan family, and Amanda and Susan's relationship - it's a fantastic book. Definitely worth reading!

We started this series with Susan and have moved back to Susan.
While trying to plan her wedding Susan finds herself thrown into a massive murder trial, a young girls life is on the line. Did she actually murder her boyfriend? The more she digs the more she is unsure, but she is sure she owes her the best defense possible.
If a murder trial wasn’t enough, Scott, Susan’s high school sweetheart and fiancé, suddenly must take custody of his troubled teenage son.
4.25 stars. I didn't like this book nearly as much as I thought I would but as usual, Scott saved the story. This guy is awesome and I wish they made men like him in real life. Clearly the book didn't leave that much of an impression because I can't remember enough about it to write a proper review. I may need a little break from this crew because I feel like the stories are getting a little too predictable. That's comforting sometimes and I really do like these characters but I'm really hoping for a good plot twist soon. We shall see......
A Vineyard Wedding was beyond fantastic. Susan Sheridan is one of the strongest women I know. She was a mother, brought her sisters and father back together, ran the Sunset Cove Inn, fell in love, and went back to being a lawyer. She is remarkable. This book was emotional for me. I cried at times through it. There is so much love, compassion, and caring in this family for each other. The book just grabs at your heart. Katie Winters, this book has really touched my heart. Thank you. I look forward to the rest of the series.
Be still my heart...A Vineyard Wedding by Katie Winters is an incredibly beautiful book. It has the most amazing storyline; awesome characters; plot twists and turns that definitely keep you flipping those pages; and perhaps one of the best HEA’s I’ve read this year! You really need to grab a copy of this book today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and absolutely loved it!) ❤️❤️
While the book was good and I really enjoy this series, I’ve noticed small errors in the book. In one instance Susan Sheridan has asked for tea and she takes a sip, on the next page it says she’s drinking her beer! There is another instance when Susan is with Amanda and then Susan addresses her as Audrey. There were other instances of small errors like this (in this book and others) I’m wondering if it’s happening in the printed books as well. I read all books on my Kindle.
The continuing saga of the Sheridan family. Is it time for Scott and Susan to get hitched? We’ll see. There are always things standing in the way; family, job, and communication. These are some of the most in-depth characters. You can feel every emotion they are feeling. Such a wonderful and sweet story that I continue to enjoy immensely. Thanks Katie.
I have read each one of these in order an I can’t get enough. This was such a great read an would recommend to any one to pick up this series. All the characters feel like someone you can relate to or just want to know better. Loved it. Can’t wait for next one thank you Katie for writing such a great series. I don’t want it to end. 🙏💕
This lovely novel chronicles a family in Martha's Vineyard. A widow reunites with the live of her life. She defends a woman accused of murder and the real killer confesses. I loved the descriptions of Martha's Vineyard and also the detailed description of of the food and flowers at the wedding. I loved the book. Renee Goldberg rgoldberg227@gmail.com
This book in the series has many happening leaving us in a quandary asking ourselves, will there truly be a wedding, will Susan finally pick out a wedding dress, will Kellum be the one to stop this wedding? Read and follow the Sheridan clan.
Another great book in this series. This one was definitely a tear jerker from the beginning; however, all the books in this series have had a happy ending and are so heartfelt.
I really don’t know why so many things bothered me in this book. I hated that people were bothered by Scott (I think that’s his name) taking in his own son. I actually felt like this book portrayed the sisters as entitled or something. I don’t know.
This book continues in with the Sheridan girls. It was cute, but I found a lot of grammatical and spelling errors that bugged me a little. The story line is still there and they are the cutest family!
