DNF at like 15%. Wow it was bad. I love me a small town shifter romance. The FMC is annoying. From the moment she holds the MMC at gun point I disliked her. She didn’t get better. The banter was crap. I couldn’t bring myself to keep reading.

A Mate to Embrace is the fourth exciting book in the intriguing series Dragons of Mount Aterna.
Guarding the gate is a must as it keeps the world safe but what happens when something slips through? The five families keep to themselves but when someone wants their money and attacks are being made on the clan it is time to find out what is going on and take them out. Whilst looking they find something even more precious than their treasure their fated mate.
Riley writes a good tale with twists and turns that keep the pages turning.

Four books about the Dragons of Mount Aterna in one boxed set = hours of reading fun.
The Dragon shifters guard portals where ... things ... can come through, whilst at the same time trying to hide what they are from the humans. Then ... something... comes through the portal. At the same time, someone seems to target the dragons, trying to steal from them and starting a war between the clans.
The dragons of clan Aterna are trying to find out what happened and what to do about it. What was not in that plan was to find their mates and having to reveal what they are to those unsuspecting humans.
Each book could be read as a standalone, although the portal and who is targeting the dragons is the theme, so to say, that connects all the books, with a bit more revealed in each. Very likeable characters, good plots, and a very good narration style and lots of humour makes these books an absolute pleasure to read.
Now to get the ones for the other dragon clans and see how the story continues!

Very interesting
I enjoyed reading this series, so many twists and turns. It's full of love, mystery, fighting, betrayal, hot sexy dragons and plenty of sex. It's also about family and protecting them. The lengths they go through to protect the humans in this town. I like that the dragons could talk in that form. It's also interesting that they have a criminal underworld like humans. I was not expecting the outcome of their investigation. I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of the Five. I want to see of this discord affected the other families. All fives families are in this town yet only Mount Aterna dragons are represented. I want to know what are the other dragon powers, we've seen fire and ice. What other elemental powers do they possess? I can't wait to find out

If you want to enjoy a few days of reading a good enjoyable book bundle, look no further... You will enjoy many hours of mystery, action, intrigue and hotness with the Aterna Dragons and the women that come into their lives.
Five Peaks is a small old mining town surrounded by 5 beautiful mountains that are occupied by very mysterious rich people, that are whispered about....They consist of 5 Dragon Clans of which Clan Aterna is one. You will read about several of the Aterna Dragons, and the mischief they get into, but they all intertwine in the mystery that abounds in Five Peaks.
The mysterious rich people don't come into town very often, but they have been as of late coming more than not.
I enjoyed several days of non stop reading, except to eat and sleep that is...

Surprisingly good
I admit I came to these books with low expectations. Most dragon shifter books I've read were of the must-claim-my-mate type. Here there is world building, 3 dimensional characters, proper editing, and a lot of humor. There is also an overarching story on the entire series which was interesting.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading these books and meeting the worlds and characters. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Each story is standalone. 3rd person pov following the main characters. Violence is not graphic and soon over. Steamy.

Great set.
I loved this set. From the first to the last.
This set has it all you would want. Love, intrigue, action, anger, embarrassment, and a touch of hilarity. I usually don't laugh at story lines, but even I had to laugh at one line in the last book.
I like the way the author has the characters arguing with themselves in their minds, hilarious.
I thoroughly recommend you read them, you won't be disappointed.
I have just bought my next set from this author and looking forward to getting started.

Less goofy than some other dragon books
I wasn't impressed with any of the heroines but this series has an underlying mystery winding its way through the books--without leaving you with a cliffhanger to try to force you to buy the sequels-- and that's done pretty well.
I did note at the beginning that an editor was credited, so I was dismayed at how many errors there were, largely punctuation. How did apostrophe abuse become so prevalent? 😕

I really enjoyed this series. Not only the romance, but the ongoing mystery where each couple peels back one layer of the mystery as their love story is told. They do need to be read in order to understand the elements of the mystery and to know the stories of the other dragon pairs mentioned in previous stories. I look forward to the next set of books in this series.

A very nice set of Dragon HEZ books.
I loved these books and the romance and intrigue in every one of them. The characters were so endearing and the descriptions were so vivid it was if I was right there. The fact the author connected each book with a crater mystery was exciting. I am glad I bought all the books.

Enjoyable and clever
I particularly like the details incorporated into each of the four stories. There's more than just a love story, a plot that carries over from book to book and still needs to be resolved in future books. If you enjoy dragons, adventure, and romance, then the stories here should be right up your alley.

Good
Overall good, it took me a while to get into book one, and same thing for book two. I really loved book three, unfortunately I struggled again with book four. I love that there was something connecting all four stories, but it wasn't overt.

Worthy
The first book I just wanted to shake the woman. The amount of bad decisions had me mad. The rest of the characters were great. I really can not wait to see where this is going. Thank you for these amazing stories, even the first one.

Start to finsh
I really enjoyed the books with each one a stand-alone story. Yet, it was better reading them together, especially with the back story of intrigue and nefarious plots running through them. Love from start to finish.

This series is as good as his last and a fun read. The only negative I have was the detailed sex. It would have been better without those details.

Read it non-stop
