Hannah Maclean arrived at the annual Maclean Fashion Show, greeted her fans, and went inside to look for her assistant and best friend, Laura Jean. This was the time of the year where she put out her designs to the entire world. After three years, her Manhattan fashion company was very successful. She changed into the dress she would model and checked her phone, but her husband, Joe Collins, left no message to excuse his not being here to support her. Her assistant Laura urged her to let him go, that he was no good for her. Someone had sent pictures of him and another woman to her phone, and a panic attack started. Laura gave her pills and vodka to wash it down. On stage, she could not continue. But when she came back to the room early, she heard Laura laughing on the phone with Joe, talking about her and assuring him they could be together all night! A prologue of this series where the characters and the storyline are shown. I think it is going to be a great series. Well, in fact, I know it is a great series. I have to say that I have read books 1 and 2 before this one, and I enjoyed them a lot, even though I didn’t know the background of Hanna’s running away.

Another new author for me but this won't be the last. I really enjoyed the way this author wrote as she really made the story and the scenery come alive. Well written and the characters are amazing so far it is awesome.
