This dragon shifter romance is really intriguing & it is a fantastic addition to the series. The characters are unique with interesting personalities & display realistic emotional feelings throughout the well-developed, entertaining plot. There is good support from the secondary characters
It is about: a young woman (Katherine Halliday) & her young son (Jackson) is on the run from her fiancé (Tyson Chase) but she is unexpected helped by a sheriff (Tommy Coleman) when he sends her to a defense lawyer (Rory Ryan)
There is: dragon shifters, wolf shifters, an arranged marriage, pack issues, intrigue, drama, suspense, twists & turns, secrets, action, adventure, complications, prejudices, threats, danger, enemies, conflict, violence, confrontation, love, contentment, steamy scenes & well-deserved satisfying conclusion.

Brilliant loved it
Rory never expected to walk into his office and find a beautiful woman changing in there. Rory had never seen a life for himself being settling down but with Katherine and her son Jackson he wanted to do that protect and keep them safe which he tried to do until Catherine’s ex came and took Jackson. His brothers wouldn’t go and fight the wolves so he went in alone to get Jackson knowing if things went wrong his brothers would come for him which is what happened.
Katherine had just escaped with her son from her wolf pack and alpha who was Jackson’s father she didn’t want her son growing up the way the alpha was and she knew Jackson would be changed to a ruthless ruler as he would have no choice.
Katherine never expected a dragon Rory to help her and keep her protected and safe also find the love she was looking for and wanted. Katherine was devastated when her ex came for Jackson and couldn’t believe Rory went for him on his own as he loved him like he was his son now Rory’s plan worked the brothers went in for him as well as her son.

I love this series. Katherine needs help escaping the wolf Alpha. Rory will do anything to protect her and her son. He does put himself at death's door going to the wolf den.. A great battle occurs when his brothers arrive.

What an awesome story/series!
Rory and Katherine, what an amazing couple, that fell in love at first sight even though he was a Dragon she was a Wolf. I loved this entire series and I would love to read more of Maia Starr's books.
