Maples leaves in Canada, the Statue of Liberty in the USA, Chihuahuas in Mexico, jaguars in Brazil! The fifth book in the Draw Cute series is packed with all kinds of animals, landmarks, signature food, and other popular items from around the world in Angela Nguyen's unique kawaii style. All the instructions are easy to follow and follow the format of the previous books in this series. Young readers will learn what kawaii is all about while learning about cultures outside of their own.
I'm a public school teacher and regularly use Angela Nguyen's how-to series in my classroom. One year, my 5th and 6th graders created their own travel book and the students loved using this guide to help create their adorable hand drawn illustrations!
This book is quite literally one of the most checked out books in our class library. My students love to use it when they're finished with a test early or whenever they feel inspired to doodle in their free time (they even ask to borrow it during recess haha). It's a well-loved book and I may just need to buy a replacement soon. Such a great addition to our class library!
I plan to buy the rest of her books in the series for my students to enjoy :)
