A fine conclusion. Cheating out a demon, tricking the asshole, brutal deaths, lots of cursing, and Hellblazer getting to kiss the devil. While not anything crazy amazing, and I think the first half of this series was far stronger, it was still a nice tale I'd read again. A 3 out of 5.
Man, I thought this was going to go a few more issues. Well at least I hoped. Sad it’s over as it was a pretty fun, well done little story. Check it out if you haven’t already.
Delightfully nasty and comical story of a demon who's out to kill billionaires, because this is a Tom Taylor comic after all. Derrick Robertson is a perfect match for the grime and guts of Hellblazer and if you ever wanted to see a romantic plotline about someone wanting to slip the Devil some tongue, you've come to the right place.
This was pure fun. I’m gonna miss this mini-series. This is sort of how I wish the TV show had gone. There were some glimmers of it, but this Black Label series was full of some great moments both dark and light. While this won’t hit it for every Hellblazer fan, I really appreciated that this was not all gloom. I love the grimiest of Hellblazer, but I also love the challenge of writing a semi-“good” ending for Constantine. I think this team managed to pull it off.
