Will there be blue skies and happy lives for the wedding day…or is change in the forecast again?
The bonds of love that have formed and grown over the past year in Coconut Key reach a culmination of white lace and champagne…for some. For others, things may not turn out as they expected.
New arrivals on the island turn plans and lives upside down, testing the strength of relationships. Everyone has to make major decisions about life, work, and love. The future may look different for Beck, Savannah, Peyton, and Jessie…but whatever it is, with family and friends, it will be warm, happy, and dappled in sunshine.
Well, we got a twist or two, I was not expecting — a lot of excitement around the wedding and then hurricane Diana arrives, Nick’s mother. New doors are opening for Kenny and Peyton, and the B&B has paying guests. Some big decisions are brewing, and I can not wait for the next book in the series.
Thank you to Booksprout and the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
What an amazing book. Great cast of characters that draw you into the story. It will make you laugh and cry plus melt your heart. Looking forward to the last book in the series.
Hope Holloway's sixth Coconut Key book, A Wedding in the Keys, features a most unusual wedding and not any of the ones I've grown to expect! Still wonderful, and it shows snarky new mom Savannah in a whole new light. Nick Frye, father of baby Dylan, alluded to his stage mother putting him in commercials at age 4-5 and on TV by age 11. So when his mother, Diana, shows up at Beck and Lovely's new B&B with his manager, it looks like his and Savannah's intended wedding will be canceled. But Diana isn't that straightforward. No, she insists that the wedding take place--in 3 weeks--live, on the Celebrity Wedding reality TV show! Nick knows his mother is manipulative, but Savannah sees someone she can soften. Diana, however, tells Savannah that she shouldn't try to challenge her and rides off on a scooter to prove Savannah's comment about scooters being only for the young and adventurous, wrong. Back at the B&B, Beck is regretting her decision to hire Josh's lazy daughter Toni as a maid. After promising to show up at 7 to help prepare breakfast, Toni rolls in at 10 looking for Nick's manager. She's an aspiring actress and sees the man as an open door to Hollywood. She also leaves the rooms and kitchen a mess. Her final act before getting fired: going clubbing with the manager because "keeping the guests happy is the most important thing, right?" Wrong. In Miami, where Peyton moved to give things with former fisherman Val another try, the Sanchez family gives her a Cuban welcome--with habanero peppers! She's overwhelmed, but after talking with his late fianceé's sister and her sister/roommate Callie, who left school in Atlanta and enrolled in law school in Miami, she decides to stay and see what develops (or doesn't). Needless to say, Beck and Savannah aren't thrilled, but they want Peyton to be happy. Peyton wants that too, but she keeps thinking she's making the choice for Val's sake, not her own. Kenny, meanwhile, has an opportunity to inspect a house Heather wants to buy on Coconut Key, and he finds himself praying during the transaction in which he negotiates a much better offer than Heather knew was possible. He reflects that six months earlier he was bitter at God and didn't see himself loving anyone but his late wife, a godly woman who would have approved of Heather's hunger for God. But now... When Diana insults Savannah repeatedly during filming in the dress shop, Beck has had enough! She (along with bridesmaids Ava, Peyton, and Callie) wants to give Diana a piece of her mind, but they can't find her on the street and give up. On her wedding day, half made up and with hair half styled, Savannah gets a frantic call from Beck. Diana is missing! She left the room, with her luggage inside, and nobody knows where she is. Nick has told his bride that he wants his mom at his wedding, so she dashes out and says that if need be, she'll walk down the aisle in shorts with one set of false lashes and half-done hair, but she'll make the wedding in time for live TV coverage. She finds Diana at the Key West Starbucks, upset that the director of Celebrity Wedding manufactured drama by arranging for Nick's biological father--an Australian rugby player, not the actor she hired to play his father as a trailer-trash drunk--and unwilling to believe that Nick wants her at his wedding, which she tried to sabotage. Confronted with his love and forgiveness, Diana speeds off on a scooter toward the end of the dock, bent on suicide. When Savannah tries to stop her, Diana begins to cry, giving Savannah a chance to overturn the scooter, beg the cameraman to call 911, and kick his camera into the water. So long, handheld footage! But welcome back, groom's mother! At the end of book 6, Savannah and Nick are happily married and the director has gotten enough dirt to keep the show' ratings high; Jessie and her back-from-the-dead husband Chuck have renewed their vows; Beck and Josh have figured out that they are better as friends; Kenny and Heather are avoiding their clear mutual attraction; Peyton has decided to go to Val and Callie in Miami but isn't 100% happy with her choice; Nick's real father is trying to turn his beloved grandson into a rugby player (and charming Beck); and Lovely is shaking her head over the young people's misadventures (she includes Beck and Jessie in her definition of "young people"). I think the next book (the final Coconut Key book) should be called Tying Up Loose Ends in the Keys! I'm sorry there's only one more book in this series; I've loved getting to know the Foster, Frye, and Cross families and want to see them go out in style! Very highly recommended.
I absolutely love reading this series & this book A Wedding in the Keys(Coconut Key Book 6)!!! All about the Foster family, their friends the Crosses, the Donovan’s & the Gallaghers! All these people are family and will do anything for each other in the name of love!! Each book in this series is located in Coconut Key, Florida the basis for all their lives!! Life in this magical place is home to many family’s, who live regular lives and thrive in paradise!! Please come and meet these people starting with book 1, and trust me when I say you won’t be able to put the book down till it’s finished!! I’ve read the first six books, and I can’t wait to start book 7!!! Every single emotion know to man is in every single book in this series, so stop reading the review and go grab the first book, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!!!
Oh, wow! This series just keeps getting better. Nick's mother comes to town with a scheme that she hopes will break up him and Savannah. Val comes back to the keys for a renewing of vows for Jess and Chuck and wants Peyton to give them a chance, but he wants her to come to Miami, and she wants him to stay in the Keys. She has to make some big decisions. And then Beck comes to some decisions about her relationship with Josh.
This series is sooooo good. I love how they are all there for each other and so close. This story is awesome!! Thank you Booksprout and Hope Holloway for this ARC. I read this in one day. I could not put it down.

I eagerly awaited this book because I have become attached to these characters. A new character or two is introduced in each book and every time I think, “I don’t care about these new characters; I just want to know what happens to my favorites.” Then, I find that these new characters have become part of the group and I am interested in them as well. Coconut Key draws me in and I find myself looking forward to the time in my day when I can get back there and see what the characters are doing.

Another finely-written story about Beck, her daughters and the rest of the people at Coconut Key! I couldn’t stop reading though it was early next day when I finished!! Excellent page-turner! Nick’s mother, Diana, shows up in this one, with a plan to stop Nick and Savannah’s marriage. But Nick knows his mom pretty well so…but she is devilishly manipulative. Who wins that battle? You’ll need to read the book for that! Because there was a HUGE surprise! The man that Peyton has been pining for, Val, is a last-minute attendee to Jessie and Chuck’s vow renewal…apparently pining for Peyton as well. How does their relationship fare after that? Kenny and Heather come to an understanding; Josh surprises Beck. But there’s still more to come in book 7, so if you haven’t read these books - I suggest you do! Clean, well-written, funny-sad and a bit of a shocker this time! You’ll enjoy them!
I started reading this book with an idea of what the end would be. And as the story was read i experienced a roller coaster of surprise, excitement and disbelief. The story line ended much as I thought it might have at the beginning. However so many twist were introduced that I never could have imagined. The unexpected happened and the drama and actions along with reactions kept the readers in suspense and added joy as the story unfolded. I couldn’t have enjoyed this book any more than I did. This author held my interest and touched my heart with emotions all around. Thank you!
I can’t think of a nicer way to put it... I hated this book. Not think, know. While I loved the previous books in the series, this one was painful to get through. It hurt. It dragged. I wanted to be DONE. And not flipping through the pages, feeling like you can’t wait for what’s to happen type of done. It was the god help me, I can’t wait for this to be over type of done. It took me almost a week to finish. I’ve read much longer books a lot faster than that. The whole reality television angle just didn’t work for me. I would’ve not finished this one if I hadn’t already read the first 5. Hmph... every single one can’t be a hit, I guess.
This book is an emotional roller coaster in the best way and I loved it! Hope Holloway is a master at all the feels - laughter, warm fuzzies, tears, angst, frustration, heartache, love, and magic. The book is packed with delightful characters, an idyllic location (I want to stay at the Coquina House B&B!), a few unexpected twists, and plenty of action. The story gets better and better, and each book in the series is like a reunion and catch-up with friends. My only complaint is that now I have to wait until the next book comes out!
Savannah and Nick have their turn but family situations are causing havoc. To make matters worse, it will all be on TV. The characters are quite a bunch, with varied connections and backstories. The storyline is definitely like a soap opera with all the side agendas going on. Some manipulation and surprises as someone is brought back into the family and another and another tries to leave. Loved the locale and how descriptive it all was.

This is one of the best series I have read!!! I read book three yesterday, book four all last night and book five today, I just love all these characters!! If you want to read about laughter, sadness, extreme happiness, tears, forgiveness, scheming in-laws & to read about real love, Hope Holloway writes all of these in her Coconut Key stories. I also love that Hope brings faith into her stories. Above all God's forgiveness and hope for the future. You just have to read these wonderful books!
I just can’t handle all the sexist rhetoric in these romance books. Good grief! Every woman does NOT dream of their wedding day. Every woman does NOT want babies. I don’t think ANY woman wants to be called Mrs Joe Blow and many women don’t want to change their name at all! I really am sick of women waiting for the BIG proposal. If you are thinking of marrying someone, you should be having conversations about it with that person and making that decision together.
I wish someone would PLEASE write a book and pretend women are equal human beings!
I keep thinking that this series will fizzle out, but, BOY, was I wrong! This series just keeps getting better and better. Just when you think that you know everything about about all of the characters, Ms Holloway takes a turn and goes somewhere that you don’t expect. But, at the same time, the characters are just like you remember and feel at home with. Just when you think that a person or situation is unredeemable, she finds a way to change your mind. Looking forward to the next installment!
A story that deserves more than 5 stars! It's enjoyable, well written, captivating and the location so well described you feel like you're there and on a vacation while reading it. Wonderful characters you love getting to know with every turn of the page. They're endearing, enjoyable, fun and realistic. A great summer time read you'll be glad you added to your reading list.

I am hesitant to Open Book 7 knowing this wonderful series will come to an end. Hope and love and forgiveness are all within the pages of the Coconut Key books and I’ve made friendships I’d love to have while turning the pages and opening each new book. The characters are well drawn, the women are smart and loving. Hope Holloway is a gifted story teller.
Another classic five-star read. I don't know where Hope can take us again with this series. She stumped me after all the excitement on the The Wedding and its aftermath. What will the future hold for Beck, Josh, Peyton, and Val? And Wowza, Kenny, and Heather? Bring on the next novel in this series.
This book was so good!! It's well written and full of emotions. The author brings the book to life with her words. You can see the scenery, feel the emotions and the characters feel like friends. I loved it and can't wait for the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The characters lives and stories continue to evolve with Wedding in the Keys. Weddings, happily endings, friendships and faith. Weddings take place, forgiveness is found and many happy endings - or is there even more good reading to come?!? I sure hope so!

What a roller coaster ride this is! Couples marry, couples separate, new people enter, and past history is revealed, causing anger, upset and shock! More happens in this book than in any other because so many outsiders become involved in events! Lots of happy, sad, tears, laughter, anger, forgiveness, and uncertainty!
This was a 5 star read without a doubt! NO SPOILERS!! It's everything we could've hoped for and then some. Diana Frye is a real piece of work. And once again family prevails in Coconut Key. This one really left me feeling happy & warm, and I can't wait to get into book 7.
Oh can this series get any better? I've completely fallen in love with the trials and tribulations of the Foster women and the men in their lives. Throw in an evil soon to be mother-in-law, a surprise at a reality wedding and you have the makings of another great Coconut Keys novel. On to book 7.
We all want and deserve love. Forgiveness starts with self no matter if you were done wrong or you done the inevitable act of hurting someone. Hurt people hurt others with actions, words or silence. Holding grudges or not forgiving someone will harm you for the person you holding onto has moved forward forgetting what you are not forgiving.
Expectations Metz! Ms. Holloway packed a lot in this book. She could have spent more time in details but the story demands lots of forward movement with the live taping etc. I loved it all even if I was apprehensive of what would come next! I am so glad there are more books.
There are not enough stars for this absolutely wonderful story. I was drawn in by the first book & have looked forward to the next ones as they were released. I am sad there is only one book left in the series. I can't wait to see how the author wraps things up.
I really enjoy Hope Holloways coconut key books . She shows the fun and playful sides of each character and also love and emotional sides too . This book sure had dream dripping from it but all that just was the icing on the cake.
There are lots of interesting twist in the story. Wonderful and entertaining characters help tell the story. There is a lot of story on these pages to keep you hooked until the end. Good read.

Heartwarming characters that are so easy to connect with that you will feel like you are a part of this entwined family. Loved each new book and I am anxiously awaiting the 7th book.
I have this series a 5 because this story flows perfectly from one chapter, person and book. I have truly enjoyed these last 6 books and now I am going to enjoy #7.
One of the best of the series. Lots of plots and turns you won't see coming. Looking forward to the final book in series, but sad to leave the Florida Keyes and this wonderful fami!y
