4.5 stars - Sterling, Saint, Beau, Adam, and Gabe each meet their match in these quick, super easy reads that are cute, sometimes a little over-the-top, re-affirming (this one has Beau written ALL over it), funny, and a nice balance of steamy goodness. Beware of Charlotte, though. When you aren't looking, you will find yourself with a new furbaby! 🤣🥰😘🐶🐕 Happy reading!

This is a great collection of five hot hunks looking for love. The authors bring five couples with a hot chemistry and gives each of them their own story to tell. They bring strong characters and fills the stories with tons of emotions as well as the steam, adds drama and love and delivers five great reads. They move the stories quickly and smoothly with their descriptive writing and deliver a great set of stories. I loved and would recommend this collection.

This a sweet and heartwarming story, that not only deals with the romance between Gabe and Ciara, but also deals with the aftermath of fire destruction and the worry of the firefighters loved one. I really couldn’t put the book down after I started reading it, but more to the point, I wished the story didn’t have to end.

Sterling
Short, but so very much fun. There’s a lot going on in this book and it all works together to make a fantastic story. Savannah is everything forbidden, and the only thing Sterling wants. Sterling’s reputation as a player makes Savannah reluctant to trust him with her heart or her body. Together, they just might be each other’s dream come true. I loved the way this story navigates its way through all the angsty drama surrounding her family and his career. I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
Saint
This lightning fast little story was just so sweet and spicy. At its heart is the classic ‘love at first sight’, but everything after that was nothing like I was expecting. I thought Sky was adorable even if she had a habit of saying exactly the wrong thing at the wrong time. It absolutely killed me that she couldn’t see her own beauty. I loved that Saint did and was more than prepared to teach her how to see it. I also loved how Saint is so much more than Sky’s initial impression of him. I’m now a little desperate to read the next book coming in the series.
Beau
Though it be little, this story packs a mighty punch. The authors have done an amazing job of showing the differences in Beau’s personality as he transitions through his memory loss: before, during, and after. They also show us pretty clearly how those changes impacted Fiona, and my heart absolutely broke for her. I particularly loved the ending, already knowing what’s coming for Nick, and now I want to know what’s going to happen with Adam.
Adam
Well. That’s nothing like I expected a story about a librarian to be. There’s intrigue and suspense and danger along with the spice and books. I was already intrigued by Adam from what I’d seen of him in the previous book, so I was looking forward to finding out more about him in his story. And this blew all of my expectations out of the water. Evie is sweet and feisty and I think she’s going to be a perfect match for Adam.
Gabe
This book was lightning fast and oh so adorable. (As well as being extra spicy.) Gabe and Sierra are a bit ‘love at first sight’, but since neither one has taken their courage in hand to make the first move, it’s also a slower burn initially. When tragedy brings them together, their chemistry does the rest. The only complaint I have is the same one I’ve had with the whole series: the stories are over before I’m ready to let go of these characters. Otherwise, I love them all to absolute bits and pieces.

This is an anthology of cute, quick reads with people from area of Grist Reservoir in Indiana. First up is Sterling who is a pitcher in a minor league team based in Indy. Sterling is entralled with the coach's daughter Savannah, but he has a reputation as a "player" with the ladies...so when the opportunity arrives to spend quality time with Savannah, Sterling jumps at the chance for a real relationship...but no spoilers, will have to read this story to see what happens...the second story is about Sterling's twin sister, Sky...who decides to rid herself of a problem plaguing her love life, meeting sexy male stripper Saint...but he is interested in more than a one-night stand with Sky...but is she only looking for a fling before returning to her real life??? Third on the list is Beau...where he is a race car driver, married to Fiona, who always kissed him for luck, but had to call since she was stuck in traffic...the worst happened, with Beau involved in a big wreck on the track...leaving Beau with a head injury and memory loss...but will he remember that he is in love and married or will his playboy ways resurface??? Fourth story is Adam where he is a librarian who was lamenting the fact he didn't have a girlfriend at his ten-year high school reunion. I enjoyed all 5 stories where you had instalove, crushes, or a married couple who had to fight some adversity to try to find happiness. The stories were interrelated with siblings and friends as well as Charlotte with her dogs or cat that she talked the couples into taking. The epilogues were great in the stories and provided perfect endings for their stories.

This was a great box set of books. You have five short reads that once you get started you don't want to stop until the very end. Sterling is a minor league baseball player. Savannah which is the coach's daughter but also his best friends sister. Next you have Sky which is Sterling’s twin sister and Saint that is a stripper. Beau is a race car driver that has a wife Fiona that he can't remember. Evie is a virgin that goes to the library looking for books on sex which Adam works at. Gabe is a firefighter that has a crush on Ciara. I enjoyed reading this box set. I loved the storylines and plots. 5 HOT SHOT ROMANCES quickies is in the title and boy Sterling , Saint , Beau , Adam and finally Gabe are certainly hot and get hotter when they meet the women in their lives , and the guys are a mixed bunch there's a fireman , stripper , baseball player , librarian and an Indy racer , they might be bad boys but when they love they love passionately , loved them all especially Saint (the Vegas stripper) enjoyed the storylines , the characters are well developed and their individual stories are well written , thanks for 5 amazing books Ann .

I've read a lot of books written by Ann Omasta; she has done an excellent job at writing a good set of short stories; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story lines caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this collection of quick stories about a couple who meet and have an instant attraction. Some move from friendship to lovers and others fall into the role. Each story includes characters from previous stories but still can be followed. Great HEA for each couple.

Sorry, I'm going to be rambling about this, but it was just so ridiculous!
I only made it through the first 2 stories before giving up. Actually I wanted to give up after the first story, but I thought maybe it would get better. It did not. I think it was just the inconsistencies and characters not acting in a way that made sense.
In the first story, Sterling is interested in his coach's daughter, but hasn't made a move because she is his coach's daughter. After a game, a jersey chaser he doesn't recognize is standing in front of his locker. But when we get to Savannah's POV, this woman apparently is a known jersey chaser and has set her sights on Sterling, meaning she has made other attempts. So why was it treated like she just showed up suddenly if she is a known jersey chaser in that stadium?
If Sterling is a virgin, why does he refer to any sexual contact he has as trysts? That infers that it goes both ways. He also talks about how he likes to skirt chase and mentions how said jersey chaser would be fun way to spend 20 minutes. So if he's a virgin, what are they doing? Also she suggests they shower together, in front of the team. He turns her down and says he is going to call security and she leaves, nearly in tears, but he tells himself this is better than if he took her to the shower with all of the team looking on, but if he is a virgin what would they have done that would have been embarrassing?
Then Sterling walks in on Savannah using the team shower, that apparently she does often enough that the security guard knows not to come in, so apparently she doesn't lock it or do anything to ensure that some random player doesn't walk into what seem to be the only showers in the building. I don't understand why she doesn't use one where she is unlikely to get walked in on, but after he sees her naked, he turns around and leaves. Brandi, the jersey chaser, corners him outside the locker room and grabs onto the erection he got from seeing Savannah, unzips his pants and sticks her hand in. All with very little fight from Sterling, who has feelings for Savannah and knows she is just a few feet away. Because while he doesn't want it, it feels too good. I'm sorry, I don't care how horny you are, if you don't want someone touching you, you make them stop. But in his words, he can't properly enjoy Brandi's hand because he is too concerned about Savannah, who saw him being groped, was hurt/grossed out and left quickly. Why would he enjoy being touched by a stranger in the first place? None of this makes any sense. It just makes him seem like a douche bag. Then he is worried about hurting Brandi's feelings, when she basically sexually assaulted him.
Then after he gets his pants closed he catches up to Savannah, grovels, says while he is known for his skills in pleasing women, he wants her to be the only woman from now on and tells her he's a virgin and suddenly they both confess their feelings and decide to go back to his place to hook up.
Mind you, they haven't had much interaction that was more than surface level before. And she just saw him getting jacked off by a skank outside a room he knew she was in. But none of this matters, because they are hot for each other and suddenly can't wait any longer. Not even long enough for him to wash.
I tried the next story, but didn't make much sense either. I saw that this had a lot of positive reviews and I'm pretty sure I get the newsletter from these authors, so I am really disappointed with the quality of the stories. I can suspend reality about a lot of things, but this was too much for me.

This is an OK set of instalove romance novellas, but I did have a few issues with them. It gets 3 stars from me.
All of the stories featured characters who fell in instalove. They had been usually been interested in each other from a distance for a while, but for some reason thought they couldn't be together. They were highly implausible, and the sudden love was really hard to believe. But if you're looking for short, entertaining romances, these would do nicely.
One thing bothered me about most of the stories. All of the couples had sex on the first date, but most did not use protection. They weren't concerned about STD's or unplanned pregnancies? I just didn't buy it, and thought it was irresponsible of the authors to portray unprotected sex as completely okay.
I thought most of the couples were more in lust than in love. I just found it difficult to believe that all 5 couples would have found true, lasting love.

One of the stories bothered me, that of Beau and Fiona. I won't give away too much, but they were already married at the beginning of the story. Then Beau lost his memory in an accident, and didn't remember her. He turned into this awful, obnoxious jerk -- who treated her terribly -- just because he could. I just didn't buy that she would have stayed in love with him after that. He didn't deserve her love.
Another spoiler is that "His First Time" didn't necessarily mean what most readers would think. I won't say what it meant, but it was different for each male character. In one case, I wasn't even sure what it was his first time for -- so that was confusing.
