Sweet with a nice twist.

PRO: Overall, I loved the the setup, the son and dream mate. Both the son and Reve were in their own way very well developed and complex characters. I’d like to see the son get his own story connected to earth. Maybe it’s because of my own issues or because I believe in making mistakes that I couldn’t connect with the heroine, never did. I gave it four stars as the overall book was good and well written. I have most of this authors books and I like the dream fae line. No spoilers.....but the near ending is really great and a nice twist you sort of see coming but not like it hits!

CON: I’m not particularly sweet, nor do I suffer weak willed women characters in books or in real life. Though this character is not weak willed per se there were times I wanted to scream at her for her own lack of insight. The inability to see what was right in front of her was wimpy and dare I say truly weak. I know her lack is a method used to push the story along but it didn’t sit well with a strong female character that had suffered what she did. The story eventually explained why she is the way she is however, I wished that strength had been used slightly differently and with more internal fortitude and character than was used in in the book. She would have needed to have strength and fortitude in the real world to do what she did. That wasn’t highlighted well enough nor did it add to her book characters strength. Those that have suffered what she did know what it takes to be on your own and strong enough to survive on your own, but you rarely do it fully alone because when you do the failure rate is extremely high. So the issues she showed in the book seemed too broadly set up to be real for someone in her situation and not used consistently as applied to all characters.

Jen has been hurt before, can Reve make her heart open up again and trust someone besides herself? Reve has his work cut out for him. He's finally found his dream mate, but she's holding on to guilt and trust issues from her first marriage. Reve is the sweetest dream Fae and is willing to do what he has to in order to earn her trust. A great read!! I can't wait for Sandra and Jerrek's story.

Another great fae story

Although I must admit I like the dragons better, these fae do grow on you. Reve is a sweet fae who just wants to be with his dream mate. But Jen has had a hard life and really struggles with letting anyone help, let alone this weird guy who says he has been waiting a thousand years for her! Plus she has her son to protect. Joey is an excellent addition to the story. He is a really kind kid. Will Jen be able to push aside her fears in time to accept this wonderful gift, or will her fears keep them apart forever?

The pace is fast and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a character oriented storyline that has some steamy scenes and some action. The characters are vivid and endearing. You really want to read at least these stories in order. But I would recommend reading all the series set in this world to get the full picture. You can start with the Double Dragons box set and then the Tiger Protectors box set, if you don't mind 2 with 1. If you do, then start with the Awakened Dragons box set, then Rent-a-Dragon box set, Date-a-Dragon box set, Awakened Sea Dragons box set, Dragon Guard of Drakkaris box set, then the rest of these series in order (most are not yet in box sets)...Nightmare Dragons, Frozen Dragons, Club Crimson, Bad Dragons (may have a special edition box set still), Forgotten Dragons, and then Wings, Wands and Soul Bonds before this series! So if you haven't already read any of these, you have a lot of great reading ahead of you! If you have, then you know that Terry Bolryder writes super shifter romances set in a really cool alternate world! Enjoy!

This is a good addition to the Rogue Dream Fae series. I have liked all of Terry's series, but it is nice to have books about Fae, whose powers are very different from dragons/shifters. These "Dream Fae" are all likable in their own way, and it is fun to see them try to adapt to and understand human culture.

This book is about Reve, and his attempts to develop a soul bond with Jen. Jen was damaged by her past bad relationship, and thought she could never trust love or men again. It was sad when Reve didn't understand Jen's resistance to him, but sweet that he still didn't give up. I loved it when she finally started to see who he really was, and was touched by his complete acceptance of her and her past.

I won't give spoilers, but Jen's stubborn determination to be totally independent, and not let Reve influence her life decisions got a little old. I get that she had reason not to trust, but she should have given him a chance to prove himself. She almost lost the love of her life over her refusal to trust him.

This one gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars. I enjoyed it, and recommend it to anyone who likes paranormal romances. However, you should read the first book in the series, Sweet Dreams, before you read this book.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Jen is a single mom to her incredible little boy. Her husband Mark, whom she is divorced from was an abusive druggie. Jen is strong willed and extremely independent and self reliant. She works very hard as a CNA so she can do all that's possible for her son. However, the one thing she does for herself is to be with her dream fae, Reve, at night in her dreams. She has a secret she doesn't want him to find out. So he cannot come to her in his human disguise. But what if Reve shows up against her wishes? What if Reve wants to take over and protect her, help her raise her son, insert his opinions on how things should be done? How would a strong, independent woman react to that? Would she swoon and tell him she's thrilled to let him take over everything? Oh hell no! I think the real question is how swiftly does she kick him back over to the dream realm? How quickly does she say, "This isn't going to work. Don't let the door hit you on the way out." Or will she think Reve is trying to help her? Will she be patient and caring while he learns how to woo his soul bond? The answers are right at your fingertips. Right here in this book. But is you try to read this as a standalone, you'll be lost. You need to read book one, Sweet Dreams first. I mean why take a taste of your of your favorite dessert when you can have a full serving. This is just another example of the incredible work of Terry Bolryder. Remember if you want to read a book you can't put down, you have to pick it up first.

This was a simply splendid addition to this series, thoroughly enjoyable
This was a wonderful read and I have to say that the wonderful way in which the two main characters had been written was a simply wonderful read and I am sure that other will feel exactly the same as me.
Reve and Jen were a wonderful couple to read about the relationship was so tender and sweet but also had an underlying depth and passion that you as the read are unable to miss and this draws you into the story and holds your attention completely.
The writing as always by this author was so complete and detailed that you almost feel as though you actually knew the individuals, or to actually that by reading this wonderful book you would most definitely enjoy learning as much as you could about them both in turn.
There are plenty of surprises and unexpected events that will leave you both guessing and inspired by the book and at the end just as with the first in this series you will be left anxiously waiting for the future book in this series.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

In Her Dreams is the second book in Terry Bolryder’s new Rogue Dream Fae Series. It is a full length paranormal shifter romance that is written in first person, from the point of views of both the hero and heroine. This is a fun read, with great characters, a happily ever after and no cliff hangers.

By day, Jen is a single mother to nine-year-old Joey who is struggling with work, paying the bills and dealing with her abusive ex-husband. By night she lives out her fantasies in the arms of her dream fae warrior, Reve. But can reality and fantasy mix? Rev has been searching for his mate for over 1000 years, and now that he has found her he will not let anything stand in the way of claiming Jen as his mate. Even Jen herself.

This was another great book by Terry Bolryder. Rev, the hero, was another well written character, full of love to give and easy to relate to. I did not like Jen, the heroine, however. I found her to be very selfish, focusing only on her problems, needs, and pleasure. She redeemed herself in the end, but it was a struggle for most of the book to like her character. I am looking forward to reading Sandra and Jerrick story, and I really hope Josh, the rainbow fae, also gets a HEA.

This is a voluntary review of a reader’s advance copy.

I have been enjoying this series a lot although similarly to the last book, I have wavered between and 4 and a 5. As with the prior book, the woman, in this case, Jen, was written to be a bit unreasonable. The gist is that Reve, a dream fae, knows that Jen is her fated mate, her dream mate, her soul bond (Basically, while standalone, the world makes so much more sense if you read the past few series, all of which were a great way to spend a few hours). Jen, having been hurt in the past was resistant to the idea of giving up any part of her life for him. Broken car? No, he can't fix it. (she has a child and honestly, that's just dangerous and not a smart thing to do.) I loved that she was called out on it later. So, this was a little frustrating. Reve also, was a little frustrating because he was written to believe that his world was so much better (although, it is difficult to argue with this given the state of the actual world these days). However, inherently, I liked the characters and I mean the extended world. There's a lot of steam, some funny moments and a fascinating back story.

Reve & Jen

Talk about dreams! Her time with him in the dream realm is ... well it's hot! Being a single mother with a nonsupport-paying ex doesn't leave her much time after work and her son. So having a steamy dream time fills that other void--kind of.

Reve has waited centuries to find his love. He thinks he can wait longer but finding her makes patience more difficult. She's hiding something but what?

He's NOT a dream. Wow. How will she deal? Telling him that she has a son means he isn't her first. She doesn't want to hurt him. Will this mean the end of them? Is the future separate for them? If her son finds out, how will he deal?

So many problems and she has no idea just what is in store for her. Will Reve and his friends be able to protect her family? A Dream Fae who is sweet but much more Alpha than she realized. I love the unit they all form. A story that will pull all of your emotions and make you fall in love, too.

Another fantastic Fae story. Loved Jen and Reve's story (but would love to know how to pronounce Reve's name). This one has Jen carrying the weight of a single mom's struggles to raise her child, to feed her child, and to protect her child along with juggling an ex from heck which has made her very stubborn. Reve is magnificent in handling his relationship with Jen and with Joey (Jerrek gets a very honorable mention in the same department) and does a glorious job protecting and caring for them. The author threw an unexpected twist into this story (loved Lorien's auction from Sweet Dreams, but this is better).

I look forward to each of Terry's new releases. Her dragons are awesome (Aegis the Emerald Dragon is still my favorite). Her Fae are amazing (no matter what faction of Fae they are). Then there are her lions, tigers, bears, and wolves. No matter what your taste, Terry has something for you to enjoy.

Once again Terry ahs written a book that I didn't want to put down ponce I started it luckily it rained so I had an excuse not to do anything but read. This book doesn't have the suspense and dram that a lot of terry's books consequently there is more character building and what great characters they where

Jen is a single mum to her son Joey and she is also dealing with her ex who won't let go at the same time she is living in her dreams where a gorgeous man visits her each night What she doesn't know is that her dream man is actually a dream fae and she is the mate of her particular visitor. Reve doesn't want to destroy her life and is willing to take his time that is until her ex takes things to far and he has to step up to protect his manta and her son. Can Jen handle her dreams when they are in her real life and can they have a future together You will have to read to see

Dream worlds become alive

I like the dream fae so much! The possibilities are endless. Reve and Jen's story takes the dream fae worlds and creates dreams and nightmares. It is fun to think of your best dream and make it a reality where you are rescued by your handsome prince and whatever else you want. Joey added a new twist to what Reve had to deal with in winning his soul bond who is quite stubborn and extra careful because of the abuse she had at the hands of her ex. Joey getting in trouble by using his whip at school was funny. Not funny as in its funny to injure others but that he used it to protect someone when he was still learning. The nightmare was scary as nightmares tend to be. I enjoyed the book and really like the dream fae and how they are there for each other. Read it and fall into your dream world!

Not great, it says at the start of the book that you don't need to read book one first, but you do. There was a lot happening and mentioned regarding book 1 that i had zero idea about what was going on. I found it very animated as if new actors were reading a script for the first time, and i didn't like the character of Jen. I mean i can understand her being stubborn and afraid to trust BUT when a guy offers to use magic to fix a car that is a literal death trap for yourself and your child and you refuse its just stupid. She might as well of just given her child to the bad guy and walked away. Concept was ok from what I understood, however as I mention earlier a lot of explanations happens in book 1 and i had no idea about what they were speaking about most of the way through the book. If you decide to try this series, READ BOOK 1 FIRST

In Her Dreams, Rogue Dream Fae, book 2.

This the second book of the Rogue Dream Fae is a lovely uplifting and heart warming book, that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Jen is worried that if Reve meets her outside of her dreams that he'll no longer want her as his Soul Bond. He doesn't know that she is a single mother of ten year old Joey, whose father was abusive toward her and considered Joey to be a burden! She's worried that because he's waited for her he'd be disappointed that she didn't wait for him to come to her!
The book is full of life's realities for single parents, the unwarranted criticism of a single mother but the lack of condemnation of an absent father! Throughout it all Reve tries to prove his worth to his Dream Mate.
In my opinion another hit from Terry Bolryder!

I thought this was a very good read and a entertaining addition to this series. I think depending on the type of reader you are you might enjoy this as a standalone read but personally, I recommend that you read book one, Sweet Dreams first. Characters reappear and many events are referenced, so if you are like me and are not a fan of loose threads and not getting the details start at book one. This Book is about Reve and Jen. Reve was very lovable and swoony. These dream fae are quite special and I really enjoy their blend of sweet, fierceness. Jen I liked, but it was tough. I could feel for her and relate to her and on so many levels but her stubbornness to the point reached 'cutting off the nose to spite the face' levels and that in the end, I just couldn't wrap my head around. Still, I liked it and am eager to read book #3.

fated

This was a fated mates story but it missed the crucial mate realization moment. The past two books I’ve read by Terry are not her normal style. There is a plot but it’s not as developed as it could be. There’s sex scenes yes, but there’s too many of them and not enough plot line. She’s trying a new style which is more on the whimsical style that I’m not sure i like. The characters are underdeveloped and need more interaction to get a better view of the relationship between them. I did like and read the books but felt as if it left something to be desired. I will read more by this author because I know she’s capable of better books than this. Every author has a few one offs and I think this is one of hers. All in all I still recommend it

In her Dreams😴

Reve is the next lucky Dream Fae to find his mate in Jen. Unfortunately, due to her past experiences she’s only willing to let Reve into her dreams and not her reality😢 She has a few secrets from her past that she’s ashamed to share but when her past comes knocking, Reve steps up to show her what he’s willing to sacrifice to be with her😍

I loved this story and it was a wonderful addition to this series❣️I’m looking forward to Sandra and Jerrek next....I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️

Another Good Read

Oh wow this was even better than Lorien and Tess story..man Jen is mighty powerful. I don't know why she was second guessing her relationship with Reve, and underestimate her son's willingness to fully accept their heritage. But I guess that's life when u find it hard to trust anyone again after what she has been through with her ex..but love as always concurs all..now I wander what will take place with Sandra and Jerrek ..anyway big fan as always Winzie19🤗💞.

Absolutely loved this book! Reve is just so sweet and protective! Loved how he totally accepted Joey. Jen is such a strong woman trying to do what’s best for her son. Kind of heartbreaking what she had to go through. Joey was such a protective little warrior! I loved all these characters! I am never disappointed with Terry’s books! This is a great series and I can’t wait for the next one! Received arc and am voluntarily leaving an honest review

I like Reve best so far

Reve and Jen are dreammates but she doesn't want him in her real world because she is hiding a secret from him.
When his dream link snaps he shows up at her home and discovers several secrets.
This book takes place mostly in the earth dimension where the one before was split between both the dream fae realm and earth.
I like Reve best so far as he is kind, loving and willing to die for those he loves.

Wow

As many twists and turns as these stories have the creature Adam turns into is one of the worst horrors. They weren't kidding when they talked about how strong they felt Jen and her son were but it took a dire emergency before Jen came into her true self. Joey, even though only 10 picked up on what was needed first by drawing on the love his mother always gave him for the strength to break free and help win the day.

Disconcerting book in some wayx

As always a gripping story that captures the attention, but it has disturbing undertones. Depicting our world as a bleak and unpleasant place full of brutish men and abused women, something which is of course some people's experience. But a fantasy world ruled by women with perfectly controlled warriors who can fulfil their soul bond's every sexual desire it has disturbing connotatios

Loved it!!!

Very well worth reading!!! Reve's story is just simply awesome!!! You get to see/hear/read what nightmares are, and there is one even closer to Reve, and his dream mate and friends than they know!!! I was so glad that our heroin he's ex got some payback! I felt terrible for Josh and his mother having been treated so horribly. Thank you for giving them a second chance!!!! Loved every moment!!!!

I enjoyed the second installment to this series. Reve and Jen are perfect together. Reve has been waiting patiently for his mate and now that he has found her it is hard to wait. Jen is a tough single mom trying to deal with everything on her own. I enjoyed Reve and Jen's interaction and relationship journey. I loved Jen's dreams and Reve is the perfect protector.

Good book.

I liked this book better than the first book.
The male character Reve was as he should be, caring, loving and considerate. Being a man who not only loves and cares for his mate, but also his mates son who he helps and trains him for his future, and takes him on as his own son.
Nicely written. Xx

A new world of Fae for me to read about.

This is the first book by Terry with a Fae theme. It was so good with so much excitement and many different characters. There are some good and many nasty paranormal characters. Nightmare characters that I have never known to be written about just makes this such an unusual and exciting book.

Jen tries to keep her world separate bur when she least expects it, Reve is there in person to protect them both. Now all Jen has to do is to learn to trust Reve.

*WARNING* contains adult content
I can relate to Jen somewhat. I get the whole "I don't need anyone's" help, but I think this character takes it to the extreme. The Jen character passes stubborn and goes into irritating. What saved the story for me was the patience of the Reve character. The big battle at the end was amazing.

Human nightmares

Reves is a welcome reprieve from the real live nightmare that Jen has lived. But like with most of us or own bad decisions mean we don't trust ourselves let along other people. Their story of love and trust (including a child's love and trust) is just a beautiful thing to watch unfold.
