Refuel is the first novel I picked up by Chiquita Dennie, and I'm thrilled to admit this won't be the last time i read this author! The best thing about this Driven World is being introduced to new authors!

In My Own Words:

Refuel by Chiquita Dennie is a novel set in The Driven World (K. Bromberg). This sexy standalone is told from both Arianna Pierce and Kamden ‘Kash’ Coleman’s point of view.

Arianna’s dream is to race cars for a living and she’ll do whatever it takes to see her dreams come true. She’s got the drive and the determination to see this through, now all she needs is the support to back her up. It shouldn’t be too hard, after all, her family owns and runs Pierce racing…. Right?!

Kamden ‘Kash’ Coleman is the best in the league, and he intends on staying that way. He lives life in the fast lane, both on the track and outside of the track, and he’s not about to let anyone slow him down. Until he runs into Arianna in Vegas. You know the saying, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Well, that isn’t always true.

Now in order to prove herself on the track, Arianna must race against the top racer in the league who also happens to be her Vegas one night stand.

My Thoughts:

The Driven World is quickly becoming one of my favorite worlds, and it’s all thanks to these wonderful authors! Thank you Chiquita Dennie for pulling me out of a book funk with Arianna and Kash’s story!! The connection between these two damn near set my kindle on fire!

I do believe Arianna Pierce may be my new favorite heroine that comes from The Driven World. Not only is this woman just as feisty as she is independent, she’s also a fighter. She’s driven to achieve her dreams and she won’t let anyone stand in her way. I found her character to be inspiring. I literally feel like I can go out, get in a race car, and throw up the bird to all the people that want to tell me I can’t! *Of course I would never do that, I have horrible reflexes and all that* but you get what I’m saying. It’s not everyday when a reader can say she felt inspired by a character.

I found it hilarious that playboy/manwhore Kamden ‘Kash’ Coleman was matched up with Arianna. After a few chapters I couldn’t help but chuckle and think, this man has truly met his match. He’s met the woman who will give him a run for his money and his sanity. He’s found his one true love. And It has to be said, I loved their journey.

So now I bet you're thinking ‘if you loved their journey so much, why didn’t you rate it a five star?’ I’m going to attempt to block out spoilers in the next paragraph, so I apologize ahead of time for my rambling ways….

I decided to drop a star due to a slight miscommunication issue towards the end. I have a love/hate relationship with the miscommunication climatic points in most romances, but when you add certain aspects into a novel, and that miscommunication point still rises, it makes my respect for certain characters diminish a little bit. I feel it’s easier to work your issues out then it is to completely go silent and refuse to talk it out. It’s a moment of heartbreak that usually doesn’t need to happen. I wanted Arianna and Kash to have the all around happily ever after. I wanted them to be the power couple of the romance novel century. The miscommunication vibes threw me off a little bit.

Overall, I enjoyed Chiquita Dennie’s writing style. I enjoyed her characters and her world building. I thought Refuel was a great addition to The Driven World! Arianna and Kash’s romance is sexy as sin and sweet as sugar. I legit couldn’t get enough of these two, my heart damn near exploded in my chest!! I can’t wait to read more from Chiquita Dennie in the very near future!!! I need more!!!

Another new to me author. Hello a female driver im there for it! This is definitely a slow burn and I liked Kash and Ari together they both give off total bad boy/girl vibes. They each have stuff going on and some inner struggles. Can the rivals on the track only be one Night or will it be more? So much going on but I did feel something was missing.

Love the idea of this book. The racing world is always intriguing to me. A female driver... HOT. This book has a full cast of characters.

This book is a slow build, with a predictability in the romance genre. I like our couple Kash and Ari. They both are deliciously bad in the beginning. After that things dragged a bit for me.

You will get some angst with a she devil. Everything isn’t as it appears though so when things go sideways, you will get a surprise.

This book is good but wasn’t great for me. I appreciated several aspects but I would have loved a bigger punch. Happy Reading Everyone!

Chiquita Dennie is a fairly new author to me but mention The Driven World and I’m always excited to read. Refuel is a great addition to the world and I’m wondering why I haven’t read more by this talented author.
Arianna Pierce is determined to make it in the male dominated race car industry, she knows it’s going to be a tough road and it’s only made tougher when she develops feelings for Kamden “Kash” Coleman the driver her dreams are based on.....
Kash knows his mind is not in the game, his life has to many distractions from his ex and the possibility he may have fathered a child so the last thing he needs is a relationship with a co driver, even if that co driver is hot as hell.....
It was only meant to one night for Arianna and Kash who are rivals on the race track and entering a relationship is likely to bring chaos to their lives but sometimes we just have to follow our heart and deal with the fallout. One night was never going to be enough but can they survive career ambition, crazy ex’s and families who can’t stay out of their business..... great addition to The Driven World.

I'm a HUGE fan of The Driven World, as each author involved brings more goodness to it all, and Refuel was AWESOME! First of all, Arianna Prince is breaking glass ceilings in the racing world as not only a woman, but a POC to boot, and that makes this story perfect in itself. Add in the fact that she's a bad girl too, well, I was delighted because I get tired of the good girl/bad boy stuff as we girls can be bad ourselves! Kamden (aka Kash) is our bad boy race driver on the team, but lately he's totally distracted by his personal life as it all seems to be hitting the skids at the same time. That means that he has no time for distractions, and since he & Arianna have serious chemistry, she's becoming just that on top of being a rival! Doesn't that sound amazing?! It was in my eyes because Refuel is the ultimate #GIRLPOWER that we all need in our lives so BRAVO! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

I love the Driven World Series and Refuel is a great addition to the series. It's a quick and entertaining read.

Arianna Pierce has a dream of becoming a race car driver for her family's business and Kamden 'Kash' Coleman is a rival and one of the sports top racers. They meet in Vegas and have a one night stand. Arianna leaves before Kash wakes up. Their romance was only supposed to be the one night but they find themselves falling for each other. Throw in a meddling family and a jealous ex and you start to wonder how they're budding relationship is going to survive.

This book is a bit of a slow burn. I found it a little predictable in places and it seemed to drag a little but overall i did enjoy reading it. My only gripe is that both characters started off as bad boy/bad girl and for me they seemed to lose that persona a bit too quickly. I was especially hoping for a bit more bad boy from Kash.

This is the first book that i have read by Chiquita Dennie and i look forward to reading more.

This I felt was a fast pace read that made you love racing more and the characters even more. I love these books as I'm a huge race fan. I'm also a fan of women drivers who have the courage to get out there and do what they love, even if it's a man's sport. Arianna and Kash both have a love for driving fast and they both have an attraction you can't deny. When photos get posted and the track get's crazy this is the one that will tell it all. I didn't know how to feel about Kash, but I fell hard for him as he needs to show Arianna who he really is. But sometimes the past will come back and bite you or well the present in this case. Can Kash show Arianna that he is the one or will someone destroy it all?

Revved Up!

This book will have you so REVVED UP, and it’s just from the first chapter.
You’ll need to REFUEL your own book library to include this book and I just have a wonderful feeling book 2.

Ari and Kash have a chemistry that not only is hot. But, to watch how the shoe switches to the other foot… to seeing heir passions take center stage.

I’m SO looking forward to seeing Malik’s and Sarai’s story.

This is another great addition to this amazing series and is Arianna / Ari and Kamden / Kash’s story. Ari is getting her dream of becoming a race car driver for her family’s business, and Kash is a rival who is one of the tip drivers. This is a fast-paced emotional roller coaster, which has a tad angst, and is a steamy little read. The only downside in my opinion only. Is that the story seemed to drag a bit in placed, however, I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.

Arianna has had to work harder than any of her counterparts to become a professional driver. She can’t afford to be distracted by any man let alone a fellow racer as it could be her downfall both personally and professionally.

Kash has found success on the track but the same can’t be said for his personal life. Arianna is the one woman he can’t stop thinking about but his past could put an end to their present.

Hot chemistry, strong characters and just enough drama to keep you entertained.

Arianna's character really grabbed my attention as I read the blurb, knowing she's a race car driver.

Kash and Arianna had a one-night stand. When they come to know that they're actually rivals, all hell break loose. She can’t afford to be distracted especially by Kash. To Kash, he can’t stop thinking about Arianna but he knows his past could interfere with it.

I loved Arianna's personality and her attitude. Her chemistry with Kash was hot and since they are rivals it makes it more angsty and riveting between them.

Racecar drivers Kash and Arianna start with a one-night stand. Then chaos erupts around them. Can the rivals find their way through the chaos into love?

Kash and Arianna's explosive chemistry, interfering family members, a jealous side chick, and her ambition to get her racing career started all come together to make things complicated for the two. Given its shorter length and exciting drama, I was surprised to find that the book dragged a little bit. It could have just been me, but it didn't keep me from enjoying the book.

Refuel is a quick and entertaining visit to the Driven world.

I received an early copy of this book. This voluntary review contains my unbiased, honest opinion.

Arianna is a strong woman. She is secure in skin. Trying to a foot up in the man world of racing as an African American woman isn’t easy. The glass ceiling includes her brother. A wild weekend in Vegas and a one night stand with Kash Coleman may complicate things. Kash is a womanizing arrogant bad boy who may have met his match. Rivals on the track with insane chemistry off. Distraction may cost them both if they can’t handle the heat and the outside world. Fast paced quick read with heat.

I love a woman race car driver and then add in she is the first African American and the story had something to work with. I loved Arianna's personality and her take no-nonsense attitude. The chemistry with Kash was there but they are rivals so the action, suspense, and angst was riveting between them.

This was my first book by this author. I absolutely loved the premise of this story, I'm always for a woman in a male dominated industry. You get all the angst, lots of emotional and steamy scenes between Kash and Ari. While I enjoyed this book there were a few parts for me that dragged for me. Overall it was a good read.

Her dream is coming true providing she can keep her head in the race and her mind off of Kamden. There is a lot at stake for both racers and so is their personal baggage. This action-packed drama revved up my emotions and had me all geared up and in Kamden and Ari's corner to get their chance for happiness.

The premise of the book grabbed me - budding female race car driver finds unexpected romance with another driver. Not something you see everyday in real life or in books.

Overall I liked it. The storyline kept me interested with the steamy, page burning scenes. There were parts where it dragged a little and it was a tad predictable but it did have a surprise or two and the secondary characters really made it enjoyable.

Adrianna and Kash’s romance was only supposed to be one-night thing but they can’t seem to forget each other. And how can they survive when meddling family members, career ambitions, and jealousy exes pop in to spoil their HEA.

* I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book from beginning to end. Arianna wasn’t a quitter. She had a goal and was determined to conquer her dream as a race car driver. Ari met fellow driver Kamden and things began to be hot and heavy. There were some who were jealous and couldn’t maintain their emotions.

This was a great read and I look forward to the next book in this series.
