Meeting her was by chance.
Saving her was essential.
Running into her again was fate.
Staying in her life was destiny.
But our union is inevitable.
Focused on our passions, neither of us has time for anything.
But there’s no way that we can ignore everything that’s between us.
Charli’s danced her way into my heart, giving me a reason to fight another day.
Now, I only have to prove to her that I’m what she needs.

This is 4 # book in the Privilege and Prestige series. I’ve only been reading Cassie’s books for a short while and I’m so loving her writing. She has wonderful characters, great word building, pager turner, easy to read and of course an HEA.

Charli is a dancer with hopes of owning her on dance studio and Alex is a MAA fighter who owns gym studio that he trains at. Charli is a strong female that is working hard at goals and is not ready for a relationship.

Alex is an alpha male and oh so handsome. Alex and Charli have baggage that includes trust issues. Charli has a lot on her plate helping her brother with his baby mama issues, helping her best friend plan her wedding and also having a great relationship with her parents. I admire Charli so many others will probably have thrown in the towel and gave up but not Charli.

Alex and Charli meet at a bachelor party where she is being groped and Alex steps in a saves her. Alex offers Charli free self-defense classes unaware that Alex actually owns the gym, but Charli refuses but eventually comes around accepts his offer.

Alex and Charli have both been hurt in previous relationships and are not rushing into a relationship. They’re starting off as friends and moving slowing into a relationship.

This is such a great book and I truly enjoyed reading about Alex and Charli. Looking to reading more from Cassie.

I received an ARC from the author and I'm leaving my review voluntarily.

As customary with Cassie's books, this story has a strong female character with a purpose and goal in her life. Charli knows what she wants in her future, a dance studio, and knows what is needed to achieve that goal. Because of past events, she has to go about it the hard way but she's willing to put the work in without going against her personal values. She does all this while still helping her brother with his baby mama drama, being a good best friend to her girlfriend planning her wedding and maintaining a great family relationship with her parents and toddler niece.

Alex, a true alpha male with his own moral compass and past history, meets Charli when he sees that a male 'friend' is not taking her no for no. He defends her and offers her free self-defense lessons at a local gym, which she declines.

Charli finally agrees to take Alex up on the self-defense lessons and over the course of a few weeks, a friendship begins to bloom. The friendship grows to where they are hanging out together, enjoying each other's company and getting to know the person beneath the dancer and self-defense instructor.

As they grow in friendship and lust, over time they learn about the other's baggage and how to trust in each other.
Unfortunately, other forces try to undo the pair and they must decide if the other is worth the pain of possibly losing out on love.

It's a wonderful Friends-To-Lovers story that I can read again and again! The steamy love scenes are hot and not too bad either!! Definitely read this one!

I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I thought the flow and pacing of the story were smooth and appropriate. Alex and Charli's story isn't driven by sex. It is about finding someone who accepts them...who they are, what they want and how they want to build the future...and trusts them to do what they love, unhindered. Unlike the other 2 stories in this series, there was no one close to bridge the characters together in a way that would allow them to realistically "let go" and trust sooner. The first book had Maeve. In the second book, both characters were well acquainted, they had a history. Prestige played a large role in both of those stories, so there were more adult scenes. This book didn't need that because Prestige was not their place of release or entertainment...it was a job for Charli and Alex wanted nothing to do with it...it's just where they met.

There could have been more sexual tension, but I felt that Alex wanted far more than a physical connection, so he was willing to build something lasting by being what Charli needed the most...a man she could trust that was also her friend. The adult scenes and unnecessary drama are not necessary for a book to be a good read. I need dynamic characters, depth, and relatability. This book was realistic and worth the read. Both main characters had been burned before and held on to the remembrance of that pain to remind them not to do it again (something most women can relate to). This story was their delicate dance to become one. Alex knew that one wrong move would have caused him to lose skittish Charli.

I received a copy of this book from the author. My review is my own opinion that I share freely.

Good but

It’s hard to believe that someone who has a tainted reputation and is trying to rebuild, would decide to go and work as a stripper.
I liked both Charli and Alex and I enjoyed how their relationship developed. However they were a few things that were unbelievable to me. One, I find it hard to believe that in this day and age, Charli wouldn’t google Alex before going out with him. Two, her reaction to the photos were over the top. Everyone knows that the gossip rags invent things. He told her what he went through with them and with Dani so why would she jumped to conclusions ? On top of that the photos were of 2 people talking so her reaction was extreme. Very judgmental when he never judged her for her past and career choice. Three, he is supposed to have a very close relationship with God but never discussed it with Charli? After the dinner with his parents at the beginning they completely disappeared, even at the end they weren’t mentioned. Strange. I would imagine that they would be weary of Charli given her choices.
Lastly, a lot was said of Charli’s dreams and career but after his fight mid book, Alex’s job was never mentioned again. Did he retire ?
By the way, what happened to his best friend Jordan? Again after his bachelor party, no mention of him.

I really enjoyed this! I liked Charli. She was made of some real grit! She was screwed over, but took that and made lemonade out of it. She had a plan and a purpose and went about executing it. She had a real sense of herself and wasn't a silly about it. Working at Prestige was a means to an end and she never compromised herself to do anything. I like her sense of self-worth. Alex was plain alpha protector with a splash of sweet vulnerability thrown it. However, he's a man's man, so don't play with him. He gave Charli room enough to define her own feeling and determine when she was ready for more. At the same time, he truly worked on building a friendship with Charli and I appreciated that.

There was a bit of drama her brother, Dallas, brought, but it was handled. And the rest of her family was just cute. Also, someone needed to remind Big Ang that Prestige wasn't a brothel! The girls getting into unwanted trouble with over zealous dudes didn't equal her saying/thinking they had to do whatever the client "required" whether that be sex or what. She was supposed to be there to help the girls. Didn't care for her at all.

We get a our HEA in the end. Good read!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I love a book with a strong, yet still feminine female lead, along with an alpha, sexy as hell, male lead.

Charlotte (Charli) Tyler and Alejandro (Furia) Kincaid deliver on both of those characteristics. Charlie is the exotic dancer that Alex’s first encounter with is saving her from an over-enthusiastic, groping, bachelor party attendee.

Charli takes Alex up on his offer of self defense classes, not realizing that he’s an MMA fighter and owner of the gym he trains her in,

Both Charli and Alex have deep seated baggage and trust issues, but their friendship and blooming romance push them both to take hard looks at their pasts and open themselves up to the vulnerability of love and the present with each other.

I truly loved the friendship to relationship aspect of this story. Alex took the time needed to get to know and woo Charli and help her to learn to trust him. How could she not fall for him.

True Love!!!

Alex and Charli meet when Alex rescues Charli from a unpleasant situation at Prestige where she is dancing. Their relationship starts out as friends even though Alex is immediately attracted to her but Charli is not ready for a relationship due to the past and her goals. The time they spend together ends up being a deep and abiding love between them. Alex has dealing with grief and Charli has been dealing with being blackballed in the industry but the love they have for each other helped them to deal with everything in their lives. I really loved this book because it was a true friends to lovers story with some fiery 🔥🔥🔥🔥 love scenes. Who could ask for a better book?

I really enjoyed reading The Inevitable by Cassie Verano because it was such a steamy story about Charli and Alex. Charli was a dancer and Alex was a fighter. When they first meet, he saves her. Charli is so afraid of a relationship when she is working on her goals of owning her own studio. Alex slowly breaks down Charli's walls and they both start to feel something. I loved both of their characters because each of them makes the other stronger. I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest opinion. I loved it for the the steam and the romance. I would highly recommend reading this book.

I absolutely loved to read this book. From the first chapters on I was living in this. The characters are so very real that’s simple to think you’re a part of them and you feel every heartbreak and every single romantic moment with them. The ordeals which life throws on Alex and Charli are made to break lesser people and the way they are dealing with it is amazing. I laughed and I cried. This book is alive. For me, it will never leave my shelf... or my Kindle... thank you Mrs Verano for this wonderful read!

Sooooo awesome!!!

Idkw I haven't read this series. But I'm definitely going to rectify that. Cause this book was fiya!! 🔥🔥🔥
Cassie Verano you got this girl in her feelings with the drama, sassiness, chemistry, sexiness, craziness and the BDE throughout Alex and Charli's story. I swear if I could've put my hands on Dani and Finesse.... Trifling. But what's meant to be will be. And yes, Charli and Alex finally got their HEA. This book was sooo worth reading. Cassie brought the receipts and then some! Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

I loved it! Cassie writes so doggone good! For me, a good story is one where I forget I'm reading a "story" and think it's real. This was that kind of a good story. I felt Charli's anxiety when it came to Finesse (aka Jon Jon). I also could feel the love between she and Alex. I really wanted Finesse and Alex to meet up so Alex could knock him out just once. Alex didn't play about his woman. I hate when good books like this come to an end. Can't wait for the next one!

Friends to simmering attraction & then some...
A great story, the hero saved the young exotic dancer from an inappropriately handsy young man at a bachelor party. As an MMA fighter he had the skills to teach her how to defend herself but could he also gain her trust to develop more than a professional relationship. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

This was pretty good! This is the first book that I have read by Cassie Verano. I was a little frustrated with Charli but I am glad that she and Alex got their HEA. The entertainment industry can be a bit intrusive but I am glad that they have survived it. I will surely read more by this author.

Fighters connect

Charli and Alex's love was a fight they were determined to win. They had to each battle their pasts to get to their inevitable future. Cassie choreographed this story perfectly and rooting for the good guys to win in this story was easy. Great book.
