Adding this to my list of ex-boyfriends Dad books. Putting Dean up there with Pike (Birthday Girl), Shane (Your Dad Will Do) and Greg (The Doctor). This was definitely giving me Birthday Girl vibes as they were quite similar in terms of the storyline however there’s definitely equal parts insta-lust and insta-love with this book as opposed to the other being more of a slow burn.
This was a nice quick read but I wish we could’ve learnt more about the characters personal lives or at least Caroline’s. I felt that we knew most of Dean’s backstory but it would’ve been nice to know something as simple as what he did for a living and what Caroline was studying just to add more detail. I liked that the FMC was 21 rather than a teen and the MMC was still slightly younger despite this being an age gap romance. Sometimes authors try to make the gaps too big and taboo and it can be quite off putting.
Overall the plot wasn’t too over complicated and followed the same route these ex-boyfriend Dad novels usually go down but could’ve had more depth. When it came to the big misunderstanding I didn’t like how quickly the issues between characters were resolved, for instance Caroline forgave Brian way too easily like girl he cheated on you with his ex and still stayed friends.

I definitely enjoyed this one. There is nothing sexier than "forbidden" relationships and this book had one of those.
The FMC gets into an interesting..ok hot as fuck.. situation when she meets her boyfriend's dad one day at a random club. Of course she doesn't know who he is and he doesn't know who she is. What they know is that they are both full of lust for each other. The chemistry between them will blow you away.. Although, the night ends early after they kiss because the heroine "remembers" that she actually has a boyfriend so she runs away.
Some weeks later she and her boyfriend have a problem with the house they live in. There is a damage in the pipes that forces them to look for some temporary solution regarding the "oh what are we gonna do now" situation that they are.
The boyfriend, Brian, recommends that they stay with his dad because he lives alone in a huge ass house so he won't have any issue. Caroline agrees. Until the day that they actually move in his dad's house and Caroline realizes that he is the man that tongue fucked her and turned her on weeks ago in that club.. 👀
As for the dad? He is hot as hell and very possessive. He can't imagine the woman he is attracted to, fucking his son. The moments between Dean and Caroline were 🥵. I can't believe that Brian was ever an option after meeting his dad..
This is a book that you can finish in one go. It is not that big and I appreciated that. Sometimes stories don't need a lot of pages to make themselves "better". It's the content that matters. And this content? It was definitely amazing..🥵 This author is one of my all time favourites so I know that what she writes, I will like. Don't hesitate to check her out.
Warning: This book contains a "tabooish" relationship between a father and the girlfriend of his son.. So get ready for a wild ride.

Boyfriends dad, revenge fuck fun. Probably wasn’t intentional, but the plot is pretty much the same as Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas so if you’ve read that, you’ll see the similarities. She’s alone on her birthday when she meets the dad without knowing he’s the dad. Meets him again while in a rocky relationship with the son. Etc etc.
It’s obviously much faster paced and spicy and definitely still enjoyable. I liked end a lot too.

This showed up on my TikTok FYP and it sounded good so I downloaded it and started reading. The prologue was hot and then the first line of Chapter 1 made me yell “WHAT?” This one is a super short read, with an age gap, which normally isn’t my preference. But, it was fun and sexy and a little far-fetched, but a decent way to spend 2 hours.

T.L. has this ability to bring in some taboo subjects and make them so relatable. I wasn’t expecting the ending to be the way it was….don’t worry, does end with a HEA. Age gap, ex-boyfriend’s dad, revenge seggsy times, whole bunch of drama that ends with cuddle time! She is in college, so the dramatics seem on par but Dean’s maturity is the perfect complement to pinball girl!

This book!! OMG I LOVED IT!! I could not put this down until I was done.

Cuddles are Serious Business
I really enjoy a quick read that is done well and this is towards the top of my list for a quick age gap romance with lots of spice. I prefer to read age gap romances like this that are character driven because I like how the anticipation is constant and the characters are constant in the story.
The characters are portrayed well with a perfect balance of back story that drives the main story. I found myself giddy the entire read. I loved Caroline’s inner dialogue and witty conversations. And I loved that Dean’s wittiness matched Caroline’s but, how she catches him off guard sometimes is perfect to showing the depth of his character. For me the drama is in range of the main character, Caroline’s, age without going over the top. Spice level is on fire.
Page turner for me. Read in one sitting.

This is a heated age gap short read. It has taboo/forbidden elements but with a gorgeous romantic twist.
This is Caroline's story. She is stuck in a relationship that has run its course. After being stood up for her birthday she meets a gorgeous and domineering older man at a bar. Caroline is hooked by their chemistry but never expects to see him again. Until she meets her boyfriend's dad for the first time.
I loved all the repressed desire and barely contained chemistry between Caroline and Dean. From the moment these two meet they are on fire. The taboo element is explained away by an end of the road relationship/cheating. If this is a trigger give it a miss. But this part of the story was overshadowed for me by the incredible heat.
This is a super steamy quick read and I loved the romantic and satisfying ending.

all i can say is...it wasnt as good as i had hoped for it to be.
Her bf? trash. He cheated,so what did she do? she got with his dad.
His dad? immature and childish despite his age. You would think it isn't that bad, but for his age?mf acts like a teenager who cant control his feelings and acts without thinking.
I liked the girl though,she's pretty chill...except the time she got revenge sex with the dad but that was hot
Also,the switch up in the ex bf is throwing me off. Like one second he's angry,next he's happy for her??and rooting for the dad??without being disturbed at all?????i don't buy that shit.

Wow what a fun short story!
This was really short, took less than two hours to read. It was spicy and fun, a little plot but not much. the characters were actually well developed for it being such a quick read.

Age-Gap/Possible cheating scenario.
This book flows very well. I was hooked from the beginning with these characters. Once you start reading it all comes together and whether it was actually cheating is up to the reader to decide.
It is a steamy read. Caroline and Dean are good together from the start and they have some major chemistry. She is smart mouthed and funny. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Caroline’s crazy ‘bout a sharp dressed man! Dean sure can fill out a suit... but is this sexy, mysterious stranger who walks into her life on her birthday “suitable” for her? I didn’t know what this book would be about until I dived in and discovered it was actually (surprise!) an age-gap romance. Nice! A solid story and believable characters if you’re looking for a quick page-turner with plenty of heat.

This was my first TL Quinn book and it won’t be my last. If you’re looking for a quick read to devour with intense heat then look no further.
Okay I totally added to my review the next morning now that I have actually slept on it. There was quite a bit of unnecessary drama, and I would’ve loved to seen more of Deans POV especially with the big twist in the end.
But I will still read more from this author in the future for sure.

I don't know what I was expecting when I stepped into this book, but it wasn't this.
This was a seriously steamy age gap romance, with a teeny bit of taboo thrown in for good measure. It was a fun, quick read, and the tension between all of the characters was absolutely palpable.

Age Gap/Father of Boyfriend troupe
Plot was good, characters were a little shallow. Drama did not really match the storyline. Didn't really vibe with the father-son part, inconsistent story line. Spice was good. Some minor grammatical errors. Conversations were on the "young" side, making the love interest appear childish.

Pretty good
I thought it was a cute story with good spice added in. I felt like the character development could be better. With the conflict of the story being character driven and not action driven, things seemed to progress a little quicker than I like. However if you're looking for something fun and spicy that's easy to read, I would recommend it.

I read this book in one night. It is a page-turner and you want to find out what’s going to happen next. It is an age gap (father and son’s girlfriend romance). It gives what it's supposed to give. It has drama. It has humor. It has romance and it has steam.
Spice rating:
3.5/5. There are about 3 scenes. They are detailed and steamy. Since this is a father/son girlfriend trope it does take the spice rating up a notch. It's not the spiciest book I've read but it gets the job done for a quick read.

Loved it
For it being a smaller book, I really enjoyed it. The story line didn’t drag out, got straight to the point! I wish there was an epilogue like a 4 year down the line kinda follow story. However, It came together perfect. I will not give spoilers away that would be just mean!

An okay read
I wish there were half stars because this book would definitely fall under a 2.5 star rating. The style of writing wasn’t my favorite and I wish there had been more growth shown in Dean and Caroline’s relationship. Other than that, it was an okay read to pass the time with.

A little amateurish
The over all story was okay, but I found Caroline to be annoying. She was too sarcastic too soon making it hard to believe Dean would fall for her so easily.
I expect stories to stretch reality, but Brian’s role in the whole thing just seemed off as did his mother’s appearance and injection of drama.
The over all story was okay, but I found Caroline to be annoying. She was too sarcastic too soon making it hard to believe Dean would fall for her so easily.

The steamy to spicy to romance ratio was on point!!!
The story flowed really well. The characters felt real and well developed!
I loved the sassy side of Caroline, her quick whips and comebacks.
It was refreshing with how Brian and Caroline need things!

The whole boyfriends dad kink is not my style, BUT, the book is well written and the relationship didn’t feel as taboo as some stories are. A fun, quick read! If you enjoy an age gap and a bit of “we shouldn’t be dating” with your spice, definitely add this one to your list.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It was a quick and cute read. It had so many moments of genuine laughter from me with their banter. They’re dynamic was so well done. Definitely recommend, it’ll have you smiling from both cuteness and laughter.

Really enjoyed this quick read
Wasn't sure I wanted to read at first about another exes dad story but glad I did. Fell for Dean I would have to say from the start and loved Caroline and the way she didn't take no sh** attitude. Spicy.

I loved this book! It was such a quick, sexy read! The age gap trope is always a great story line because it comes with all the angst and drama! The connection between Caroline and Dean is so strong from the first time they meet! And their chemistry is palpable from the pages!
