Karine came to Price Dimitri's country to give a her son Mateo a memory of his father who died in a car accident. She find out her three day affair was with none other than Prince Omar. Karine didn't know him as his Royal Highness. She knew him as Tao. Which says a lot from what Queen Bernadette stated. Since he only saved that name for special people in his life. Unfortunately, as the funeral precession went thru the streets to have the citizens say their good byes. Karine gasped & gave a bit of a fright when she saw someone who looked like her lover.
Once back at the hotel she notices someone sitting by her hotel room. None other than the person she set eyes to from the precession. She whispers Tao, to be told he was Prince Dimitri Omar younger brother. Now heir to the thrown. Until Mateo comes of age.

Prince Dimitri- I noticed her immediately while walking thru our country for my brother's funeral.
Those piercing eyes, but when I noticed her son. I could have sworn I was looking at Omar or myself when we were that age. I knew he had to be my brother's child. I was determined to find out. Plus, how I was going to keep my nephew to become the heir to the thrown.

Karine was told she had to pack some things for them both. And come get a DNA test for Mateo& meet his parents. The king & Queen. She didn't know what to do. She needed to get back to Flagstone, to her graphics work. But as short lived as her romance was with the deceased Prince. She owed it to his family to meet& discuss the future of her son's life. What she didn't expect was to be devastated & given orders by this arrogant Prince that she cannot leave the country with her son. She knows she needs to give the Royal family some slack & compassion on their grief of the lose of their 0ldest son. But she has a son she needs to raise, & be responsible.
Karine, knows that it might be the best for Mateo if they stay in the palace. Her son would get a good education. Verses struggling as a single parent. But giving him everything that the Royal family can offer. Doesn't mean she is leaving him there alone. Or going back to the states without her child.

Prince Dimitri is determined to be difficult to Karine. To get whatever he wants. His goal to have Mateo stay for his birth right. What he didn't expect was a strong, opinionated, woman in charge when it comes to raising her son.
Whatever, Dimitri throws @ her. Karine comes charging & keeping her stand. It seems that they both like the other's way of acting towards them. They learn to respect one another. Which later falls into developing longing desires. Dimitri is falling in love with Karine & doesn't know it. He 1st thinks it's just lust. But it turns out she is the best thing for the palace, parents & his own future. Can he make this relationship work? Or is a misunderstanding going to create roadblocks that could have Dimitri lose Karine & Mateo forever. Will he actually have to sacrifice to make Karine realize that she is the love of his life. Can he make her his true Princess?
Read if their mutual respect, & strength for one another. Is strong enough for their love grow. Oh yes, a couple of great love scenes. Especially the one where Prince puts his trust in Karine.

Being told your son cannot leave a country because his father (a 3-day affair) was prince heir to the throne. Karine was devastated when she was told she could but not her son. Dimitri, the brother of the child's father, arrogant and had no compassion for the situation. This parents were grieving about the sudden death of their son and didn't realize the position they force her to take so she could stay in her son's life. Dimitri noticed whatever he threw at her she came back strong. Both liked the way they were acting towards one another, a respect had developed along with a strong romance relationship. But as we know all good thing hit roadblocks.

I enjoyed this story because the writer moved the story along and didn't go back and forth to extend the book size.

A quick ENDEARING read. Although, the Royal family was grieving the loss of Omar, it gave them no right to make demands, threats and ultimatums to Karine. Dimitri was an arrogant A$$ in the beginning. However, his daily interaction with Karine and Mateo seem to mellow him out. Karine and Dimitri had a growing attraction for one another that they could not seem to fight, their passion was fiery/intense. Is Karine willing to sacrifice her "freedom" and live in an unfamiliar country, with unfamiliar traditions for her son, the heir to the throne. An enjoyable read.

This was a short story, but it was a good read. Girl goes on vacation meets guy has a three day fling, and ends up pregnant. When she finds out the guy she had the fling with died and that he was a prince, she decides to go to the country to attend funeral with her son. While there she sees his brother and he sees the son and he knows it's his nephew. Since his brother was the eldest that makes the young child the heir to the throne. Some good surprises happen along the way as she becomes acclimated to this new environment.

What a great short story read.
It’s short enough to read during the day at work, long enough that your not left wanting more, Spicy enough you need to make sure your boss dosnt read over your shoulder and captivating enough to make you forget your at work.
Only issue is, it’s so good you end up buying the next book lol

Good reading

This book started out fantastic but I lost interest then I picked it back up again so I could finish it out. I had to skim through the sex scenes as it was more than what I bargained for, but the last few chapters were awesome. It’s worth the read.
