They ripped me from my safe, perfect world and bound me in chains.

Now it's Cash's turn. The cold, hard, analytical leader has a problem he needs me to solve, and he's not asking.

I'm driven deep into the world of cons and corruption. I can't tell if anything around me is real. Least of all the smiling, pleasant people.

Someone is playing us for a fool, and it might be me.

The time will come when I have to make a choice: Right or wrong?

Love or money?

Me or Cash?

All I know is, one way or another, the war between us will end.

Cash is a dark contemporary why choose romance. This is book two of four in the series and features language, dark themes, and sexual scenes. If you're cool with that, dive in!

Cash (Book 2 in the Saints & Sinners series) is a cold, hard character with incredible intelligence and medical training. He’s the planner in the group and stays steps ahead of everyone. He’s the researcher. He’s the bank. He’s the doctor. He’s a grifter/con man. He’s an artist/painter and a master forger at the age of 27. Cash/Killian is one seriously skilled man. He just lacks any real feelings or relatable human qualities.
Throughout the book, Cash is strongly adamant that he doesn’t trust Addy. He holds her at arms length, stalks her every move, and denies her claims to be part of the Merchants. His strong resolve fizzles with each kiss or sexual interaction with Adeline. He loves her, but doesn’t trust her. 🤔 I’m not sure how that works.

My issues:
1) I’m not a fan of Adeline at this point. I feel like she’s a total fraud. She’s a badass skilled killer who rides the backs of her men and her BFF while planning to claim everything for herself. That doesn’t sit right with me.
2) Addy keeps saying Cinco City and the ledger are her birthright. How can that be if her dad was just an enforcer in a gang (The Lords) that doesn’t exist anymore and no one even remembers??? (Her words, not mine)
3) For Cash, his character is too wishy-washy. It’s like he’s pulling the petals off of a flower trying to decide how he feels for Adeline. Their love did not seem genuine to me. There was no real connection.
4) We find out Addy was meant to infiltrate the Merchants all along to kill them and take over their gang. Um, excuse me?? Now, she decides that she’s actually in love with these guys after getting dicked by Saint and hired for $8000/month to be chef & housecleaner????

So far, I’m not picking up what Ruby Vincent is putting down.

Moving on to Book 3. Hopefully my questions will be answered.

I loved book 2 a lot more! Although I loved Sinjin in book 1, Killian is just so much more..another form of cold and ruthless! I loved how methodical he was with his plans and accurate estimation of possibilities! He truly deserves the title of "The Brain" of The Merchants. His relationship with Adeline, although not as fun and crazy as it was between her and Sinjin, was amazing! They kept having their war of words and it just brought out a completely different side of Adeline too!

The robbery, the doubting Adeline and especially the reveal at the end with her blazing in to save their lives felt like I was watching a movie! Damn..now since everything is revealed..I wonder how the story will proceed?

Now onto Brutal's POV! This series is NOT multi POV, which is something I've not encountered. Initially, I wasn't too sure about that but I weirdly like how each book is dedicated to each guy because it actually gives so much more time to get into the inner workings of each of them without it getting overshadowed by the actual story since it's very fast paced.

I really wanted to like this series more. It had an interesting premise and a fun twist at the end of book 1, but it just really read super slow and got progressively more stale. I found it hard to care about their mission or the deceitfulness surrounding their relationship. I also can always enjoy a good cat/mouse story where they don’t fully trust each other, but I feel like once a breakthrough or “profession of love” happens, we all need to get on the same team, and this book didn’t do that and I don’t like it.

Christine and Erik. Killian and Adeline. That ours was a tragedy didn’t make it less of a love story.

Ugh, I was ready to bail on this so many times because I was really not liking Adeline and her deception. After only the first book, I was already on The Merchants side, even without knowing much about anyone other than Saint.

The structure of this series, having each book based one one of the guys, is quite interesting. It’s certainly stringing along the story while creating intrigue about what secrets we don’t know. And although this is technically a RH, it doesn’t necessarily feel like it to me. Most likely because the focus of the stories is on the plot and not the smut.

While Saint was pretty much an open book, Cash is guarded and is suspicious of Addy….rightfully so. I really liked how much character development we are getting and I’ve realized I don’t love Killian. Even without knowing much about Brutal or Mercer, the amount of distrust he holds onto doesn’t do it for me. I enjoyed the push and pull between him and Adeline only because he was never fully a sucker. He kept her at arms length, despite willing to let his body indulge; at times it did feel like they were repeating the same dance around Adeline holding back the truth and Killian not trusting her, but despite that, the mostly the focus was still always on the underlying plot.

The last 30% is where this really ratcheted up a notch and sucked me in. My mind was all over the place trying to keep up with the twist and turns; my emotions going from anger to empathy and back. Loyalties are tested and secrets are revealed. At least though, everything is out in the open. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Where these next two books take us and what Kieran has on Brutal and Mercer has me racing to finish. The spice could be removed and I’d still continue on.

On to the next

I really liked the change in our main girl during this book. We see her slip fully into who she really is, and we see her go head to head with Cash, who she is trying to get to fall in love with her, and he’s trying to pry her secrets out of her, even we she swears she doesn’t have any. The plot definitely still has me hooked, not really knowing who is who, what the infamous Kieran has on everyone.

I will say I definitely still noticed the lack of details in what gets us from point A to point B in certain scenes. Such as, during a scene where there’s a shootout, there’s just little details that are missing in between one action to the next that can kind of make it a little confusing to follow along.

I’m also not sure how I feel about only getting one guys POV in each book. In the first book, it didn’t feel wrong to just have Saints POV because at the time he was the only one who was truly willing to start something with her. You could tell the others were interested, but they weren’t obsessed with her like Saint was, and since it was just the beginning of the relationships, it didn’t feel weird for her to be closer to one more than the other. Now, I’m this book, she’s already secured her relationship with Saint, and now she’s working on her relationship with Cash, and so on and so on in the next books. So, I get why Cash is the male POV in this book, BUT I still expected to see more of Saint during Addy’s POV than what we did. The others were all pretty much background noise. Again, I get why he was the main guy in this one, but I don’t want to feel like the others were just forgotten about. Like her slipping in to Cash’s room every night, or planning to give him BJs every morning for two weeks…. Girl I know you’re working on building your relationship with him, but don’t forget about the guy who first fell for you and wanted you there in the first place. It’s not enough to put me off from the book, it was just weird to go from one book where it was all about Saint with little snippets with the other guys, to the second book where it’s all about Cash and we only see Saint and the others a little. It felt out of place because Saint is so obsessed with her, and went from not keeping his hands off of her to her having all this free time to just focus on Cash.

I'm sort of unsure of this one. On one hand, I liked that we saw more of Adeline's true plans and how badass she and her friend are. On the other, I found it slow and sometimes Adeline annoyed me. I did appreciate getting to see more of Cash and what he thinks. He's smart and sneaky and is definitely suspicious of Adeline. I was rooting for him to figure something out and throwing a wrench in everyone's plans for the ledger.

There are some crazy things that happen like blackmail, murder, and more unravelling of who Kieran is. The ending ramped the story up and I plan on continuing the series to see how much more insane everything gets.

I almost DNFed, but kept going and then the ending got me with another tantalizing cliffhanger. I enjoy the mystery of the ledger and Kieran's identity, and I always love a badass heroine... But I don't get the instalovey vibe with the romances. Okay, you love all these guys and have decided they're yours... why? They've been pretty shitty to you and all. And you're actively lying to them all the time.

I think the one volume = one hero's POV format works against the story. Just as I got into Sinjin, now he's pushed aside and all the focus is on Cash, who I couldn't give two shits about? Ehhh... but I do want to know how the whole Kieran thing turns out.

Need more Sinjin!

I’m kind of disappointed with this book. First off, as I started reading and realized it was only Cash and Adeline’s POV, I was bummed. I really liked Saint and felt like we did not get near enough of him in the first book. Cash could hardly stand Adeline so I didn’t really get why his book would be second. Their relationship didn’t feel as authentic (more forced by the author) so that kind of turned me off, as well as the fact that we find out she is clearly hiding something from the guys and keeps it from them. I felt like she was betraying them even though she claimed to love them all... (and she also got on my nerves in this book, if I’m getting it all out there.)

I started getting bored and kind of confused with all the information being thrown around, and some things just didn’t add up/make sense to me.

I’m still going to read the next book in the series because I really enjoyed the first book, and I’m still interested in the story and the characters.

Action-packed angsty type of read. I was on the edge of my seat. Waiting, trying to figure out what happens next. Lies and secrets is not good for any relationship. Add that to gangstas/gangs lifestyle and it's toxic times a thousand. Addy had me frustrated throughout this entire read. I knew her reasons but my heart is with the guys. I was definitely on their side. It was like watching a movie. I enjoyed it very much. That ending had me wanting more soon.

Still loving this series!

After that shocking ending, we are given a few pieces of this very complex puzzle. Adeline, Gianna, the mystery, the drama, the guys, the ledger and Kieran are masterfully woven in a story that is completely unpredictable. It also has to be said, how unique it is to have each book with the pov of a different guy. I have not come across this before and it just adds another dimension to the plot and storyline. We have another cliffhanger, not as dramatic this time, but still leaves you desperate for more.

Another 100% recommend!

This book was the equivalent of a foolhardy teenager who won’t see reason until they learn the hard way. You love them regardless and want the best for them and that’s how I feel about these characters, or I will after a little throttling. 🤣 The drama continued to escalate throughout the book and the end was another whammy but I’m also extremely gleeful with how it played out. So many secrets and omissions lay between them all and it’s something Cash in particular has sensed all along. He may love Adeline but for some reason he cannot and will not trust her until he gets answers. The tension was high at times and there may have been some yelling on my end, I hate when characters need to simply have an adult conversation. Then again it’s also frustrating because Adeline is very resilient in being honest even to readers, her unreliability is something I love but getting snippets here and there on her background is getting old. Who is she, who is her father and honestly what the hell is going on lol?!? Both Adeline, the Merchants and hell all the other criminals in town are obsessed with getting this mysterious ledger. Somehow everyone’s lives are tied to this little book and yet no one even knows who he is. So far the series has been really fun and the authors delivered a really well built story in a crazy mob run world one page at a a time. The relationship continues to evolve and I’m already looking forward to Mercer’s story and how he gives up his “job.”

1.2 stars.

One word – pathos. Too much of it, I would say.

Also, exaggerated drama, pretense, banality. What else? Empty plotline, illogical characters and their actions, wishy-washy guys, too much focus on one guy, empty gang system, simplistic inner workings when it comes to the 'job', over-inflated sense of self-importance in the face of Addy, the 'dragging the reveal of truth out' for more badass moment, 'im a bad bish you can't kill me', imprudent ways of solving problems that bring more storm with it –just to show our character is 'badassss'–, gaping plotholes, explanations that make no sense, reasons that make me want to kill these characters, over-emotional and philosophycal lines that make you cringe, the never ending philosophical teachings from immoral characters, boring world, boring characters, boring tropes and their execution, twists that you never see coming because there was no string for that, being mislead for the sake of drama and TWIST, pathetically non badass character that uses others' prowess to gain mileage, misspellings, missed words, and many more.

Don't understand how there are not more negative ratings, I guess to each their own. I didn't enjoy it, my eyes and head hurt from the amount of rolling I did. Not my cup of tea.

Wow wow wow. I am at a loss for words. I am seriously enjoying these books. They are addicting, and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Cash picks up where Saint left off- but instead of Adeline & Saint's POV it's Adelines & Cash's (& I imagine it will be the same for Mercer & Brutal as well).
Cash doesn't trust Adeline, and with good reason. He sees everything. He is the brains, and analyzes every person, every action- except Adeline is a wild card that he didn't see coming, what she will do next. She's hiding something. It may be nothing, or it may be everything, either way Cash is going to find out what it is.
These books, are dark dirty RH filled with gangs, violence & more. And I am addicted and am left reeling Everytime. They are crazy, wild, and leaves more questions than answers and I need to immediately jump into the next one. These books leave me on the edge of my seat, wondering what I just read.
Saint is still crazy. Cash is still cunning. Brutal is still a man of few words, and Mercer is still the charmer and Adeline is more than she seems. But, you find out just a little bit more about each of them, enough to keep you coming back. I cannot wait to see where this story goes, and get all the answers. Loving every wild, crazy, violent second of these books. 4 ⭐ out of 5 ⭐.

Trust or nothing

Cash, cash cash. I think cash is my favorite so far.

Book 2 picks up right where book 1 ended. This is Cash’s and Adaline’s story. I’m not sure I like the books written out like this. Although this is a RH, you really don’t get that vibe with each guy getting their own book. Also this one ended before I felt like Cash’s and Adaline’s story was completely finished. I hope we see more of them together in Brutal’s story.

This book is packed with answers we needed from Book 1. Adaline had a secret and we find out pretty quickly that not all is what it seems. Why she keeps it from the guys for so long doesn’t make sense to me. It definitely explains it but if she truly loves them, I still don’t get it...

Adaline becomes a double agent if you will and is a bada**. She is 100% faithful to her friends and guys and only wants the ledger like everyone else...

Cash is angry with himself as Adaline only gets closer and closer to them when he knows she can’t be trusted... still he ends up falling down the rabbit hole like Saint and finds himself head over heels. When he truly can’t take it anymore and ends up finding more evidence on why Adaline is hiding things - he decides to ultimately call her out.

Only why he didn’t know is, as closely as he’s been watching her, someone has been watching him. Kiernan might be closer to them then they originally thought.

When Adaline’s secret comes out in the end to protect her guys, shock is only a fraction of what the guys feel. Book 3 will hopefully continue with as much action as book 2 started.

*Overall 4/5
*Heat? 3/5
*Dark? 1/5
*First person POV (Cash and Adaline)
*Ends on cliffhanger

This one is all about Cash obviously. I just don't care for him as much as I thought I would. It might be that he was too suspicious of Addy, and I've grown to really like her and want this to be easy for her. Of course, his knowing really didn't hurt her end game. Well, not until the very end, but they even said they aren't able to really hurt her. I don't mind his resistance to liking her. I think the others fell for her super fast, but that is the point of this genre so I can overlook it. He's smart and capable of seeing things that the others can't or don't want to- both patterns and in people.

Now that the truth about Adeline is out to the reader- not to the boys -there is a whole different plot happening along with the Merchant's story. I think hers was actually more interesting because she had to hide things from more people and had more to risk. While the first book focused much more on Adeline and her growing relationship with the guys, this one is totally a mystery with twists about who Kieran really is. I think that was the big reveal of this story, though not as important as Addy's at the end of the last one. I still want to know more about her father and his history as a gangster.

MOTHER FREAKIN’ LAWDY LAWD!!!

Ruby Vincent you have gone and done it yet again! Seriously I don’t know why I am surprised, considering you already blew my mind with SAINT! And now it has happened again but with CASH!
And yes it's safe to say this book has been added to not only my FAVOURITE book of March, but also FAVOURITE BOOK of 2021!

The Merchants and Adeline are back again! With the second book CASH from the Saint and Sinners series by Ruby Vincent. Cash is here telling the story alongside Adeline in this Enemies-to-Lovers, dual POV story.

The story starts off where SAINT ended in the cliffhanger, jumping right into it with Adeline explaining what has occurred, in case you needed a mind refresher.
However this time we get to delve into the mindset of Cash (a member of The Merchants) and Killian Alfred Hunt (who he was before and still is) learning more about his history with his past and how he came to be where he is and who he is now in The Merchants.
At the same time, little by little, piece by piece we see Adeline try to break her way through Cash’s exterior and make her way into finding a place into his heart, mind and body. All while still navigating forward towards her goals in her secrets plans, with the help of her best friend Gianna as well as The Merchants, unbeknownst to them. But also we get to see more of Adeline too, learning more about her past in the revealing of secrets about her mysterious life, especially her childhood. Considering not much was said or known about her still.

This was another EPIC, ACTION PACKED, MIND BLOWINGLY, FREAKIN FANTASTIC, THRILL SEEKING, ADVENTUROUS story. Especially considering all the crazy games The Merchants and Adeline play, taking them on wild adventures to get what they want and need. And for that I can honestly say there was never a dull moment AT ALL in this book!

The banter and chemistry between Adeline and Cash was definitely different than what she had with Sinjin that’s for sure.
With these two it's more push and pull, and even then it definitely didn’t come easy for Adeline. It felt like trying to yank out teeth, with Adeline trying to lure Cash and get him to give into her and her charms. Something he wasn’t going to do easily or without a fight (unlike Sinjin), seeing as he had doubts.
With Cash and Adeline, it was mainly their sexual lust that always seem to have them diving in headfirst together. You could see it was Adeline’s go-to, her own personal siren call to get Cash to give into her and help bring his guard down in a way, which he always seem to fall for allowing the call to pull him in. However once it was over and the dust settled, Cash would seem to see clarity and be back to his strong, hard, harsh self with walls built back up high.

Ruby Vincent did it again! The twists, turns, drops and loops that this rollercoaster ride story had and was, is just MIND-BLOWINGLY EXPLOSIVE!
Just when I thought I knew what was going on or had my answers, Ruby would throw you off the deep end. Leaving you lost, confused and SPEECHLESS…
And just when I thought I couldn’t be any more confused or lost. I was sent in a downwards spiral with the continuation of this MINDF*CK of a book part 2 (Part 1 being SAINT ) throwing me off yet again with my thoughts, opinions and theories, with the curveballs she would randomly throw throughout! I honestly didn’t know what to think or expect anymore!
This book just kept on giving, by keeping you on your toes throughout. Gripping on hard, steeling yourself and be cautious/wary for the next mystery or secret to be thrown your way.
That being said with more mysteries, came more questions, some with answers and some without. And those with answers, still had you questioning everything. It was a never ending cycle of thoughts, theories, queries and opinions. Stimulating the mind into trying to delve deeper with the knowledge gained so far to try figure out the missing pieces of this intricate and tricky puzzle that is The Merchants, Adeline, Kieran and The Ledger!
SERIOUSLY I WAS COMPLETELY BEYOND SPEECHLESS BY THE END.
This book let alone series, I can honestly say is one like I have never read before EVER! And for that I loved it so much more!

I will admit, yet again I had to read the prologue twice, just because I had to understand what I was reading. Also halfway through I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it as much as SAINT, just because that book was ALL THAT and MORE. Plus there was Sinjin who was my favourite, but with that said Ruby ABSOLUTELY FREAKIN' KILLED IT with CASH! However, safe to say SAINT /Sinjin is still my FAVOURITE!

Once again Ruby left me reeling with another EPIC ENDING/CLIFFHANGER! And yes to state the obvious I CANNOT WAIT to see how the story will continue to play out in BRUTAL, the third book in Saint and Sinners series!
BRING IT ON! Because I am ready and waiting!

4.5 (I'm being generous with stars these days)

The sequel didn't disappoint me. Killian is an interesting character and I loved to read his POV, it's exactly what we needed, somebody starting to get suspicious about Addy's true intentions.
There were some scenes that could've been better, but overall I enjoyed it. I miss Sinjin's POV though, I think that out of the four of them, he is the craziest.

I thought I figured some things out, but sure enough, I was proved wrong and another cliffhanger awaited in the end lol

This book was better just because of some enemy-to-lovers elements to it which I adore. The plot twists were intriguing enough that kept reading late into the night. But I must admit that I don't like the relationships between the characters. I mean there was none of the development in the relationships. She just stayed with them and suddenly was in love with all of them. And They suddenly were in love with her, but wouldn't admit it until the end of each book one by one.

Seriously wonderful Mafia Romance

Oh yeah I really love this book, after reading this volume and reading the first volume as well I have decided that I have discovered a new favourite writer. This story has a kick ass h and 4 Hs that are her harem and to has a lot of action and several 🔥 scenes all of which I which I enjoyed tremendously. Also the story ends in a cliffhanger ending that I thought was pretty 😍 fine

This book was amazing! I love how we didn't see anything coming in this book. I hate that Adeline had to choose between telling them the truth or continuing to lie. I like that she finally tells them she's not who they think she is. I love that she is able to get Brutal smiling and saying small words. I hate that they don't take her confession very well and how she ends up in the basement again. I love that when her dad's life is threatened, she takes matters into her own hands. Will definitely do a re-read next year!

Still loving this twisty dark storyline. Things are unraveling. I like how Killian's (Cash) mind works. I really like how Adeline tries to be one step ahead of everyone.
Onto the next installment, I'm curious how things are going to unfold.

This was a strange one

I liked the ending, but I still don't understand why she kept the secrets that she did for so long with the guys.

I get wanting to rule. She doesn't want anyone to have power over her, but the secrets are puzzling.

DNF'd at 54%
I really enjoyed the first book but this one fell a little flat for me. I kept picking it up and putting it down, before calling it a day at 54%.
I liked Adeline in book 1 but in book 2 her character totally changed and now I find her a little bit annoying. She's become so entitled that I'm actually rooting for the bad guy and I don't want her to find Keiran or the ledger. 🤣🤣
I also don't like that each book concentrates more on a different H in the harem and the others are just background.
I won't be continuing with the series.

This is a great series by Ruby Vincent. Saint blew me away and Cash continued to bring it. I'm really happy that Cash was the next guy to get the POV book. Each guy in the RH will get a book with their POV along with the FMC. It focuses a bit more on that charather and their relationship but it also includes the other guys as well. Its a unique way of telling an reserve harem that I'm really enjoying.

I really love the character of Cash and I was really excited to get to explore and know him more. I loved seeing the way his mind works. Especially after the revelations of last book his perspective was perfect to tell the second story in the series because Cash see a lot. I enjoyed seeing how their relationship comes together, getting to know more about each of them individually and their relationship dynamics.

Speaking of the evenrs of last book there was quite the twist last book and this book explores that. Get ready for another book that will keep you hooked from beginning to the end things. Getting you excited for the nextbook Brutal then Mercer after that. Butral is already up for pre-order. These books are coming out about every month so not a long wait inbtween. I enjoyed this to read and I'm excited for the next two.

This book was brilliant! A masterpiece! Ruby Vincent continues to surprise and amaze with her intricate storylines and dynamic characters. I absolutely loved Cash!!!

So our story picks up as Adeline and the Merchants have settled into a new, domestic, and slightly psychotic routine. Of course, this story focuses on Adeline and her relationship with cold, hard, and calculated money-man, Cash.

I love how Ruby peels back the layers of both of these characters (as well as the others to a lesser degree) to give us a glimpse at how they arrived at the people they are today. I love that while we are learning about them, we also get to see how their relationship evolves and how they deal with their mutual trust issues.

The hunt for Kieran and the ledger continues. Cinco City remains in the grip of a gang war. There is blackmail and murder and mayhem and bombings. Oh, and there is lots of steam and also sugary sweet moments. You will laugh and swoon and maybe even yell at your favorite characters.

This story is so well-written. There’s never a dull moment. It’s got everything. Intrigue, danger, violence, laughter, and romance. And I am so excited for Brutal’s story coming next!

Wow Wow Wow

This series completely blew me away. The details and secrecy along with the shocking twist at the end really surprised me. It all made sense and I'm surprised I didn't see it sooner.

If you read my review for Saint, you'd know I don't care for the way each book seems to only cater to one of the men. I still don't like that, but I did love learning Cash's backstory and why he wants the ledger so bad. I'm excited to learn about Brutal's sister in the next book. I'm not sure how there is 2 books left of plot left when they pretty much had the ledger in their fingertips. I know someone stole it after killing Kieran, aka La Roche, but is it really going to take two books to find this mysterious "journal".

Considering book 3 isn't even out yet, I'm not sure how long I can last until book 4 😫. I blew through the first two books in two days. This sequel definitely was just as good as the first book if not better because we finally are done with most of the secrets between her and her men.

*Edit* Just checked the release date and the next book comes out in 2 days 🤩. It seems like each book comes out every 5-6 weeks. Did I mention that I love Ruby Vincent now? Completely head over heels.

“Ella era nuestra pareja. Nuestro espejo. Nuestro igual.
Nuestra kriptonita.”

“—Los amo. Eso es verdad. Es lo más puro que he sentido en mi vida y nunca mentí al respecto.”

Este segundo libro me encantó más, necesito leer el tercero de una vez.

The mask of who Adeline actually is and what her motives are is firmly in place but one of The Merchants isn't buying her act. She has Sinjin and Brutal firmly under her thumb with copious amounts of sex and sweetness and Mercer won over even if nothing physical has happened between them yet. But Cash... Cash is a hard nut to crack. Adeline knows she has to put his mind at ease if she is to accomplish her goal of retrieving the ledger and taking her place as the Queen of her town, but Cash is not going to make it easy. Cash is not above following Adeline's every move and wait for her to slip up so he can prove to his brothers that she was never meant to be allowed into their world.

However, Adeline has been skilled in manipulation and trained by her father in the ways of the criminal underworld so is not to be underestimated. Even the love she feels for Cash and her boys can't keep her from going after what she feels is rightfully hers. Partnered with her adoptive sister and best friend, she strives to piece the puzzle together to find out who the owner of the ledger actually is. The twists and turns they confront along the way leave them questioning everything they know and who they actually can trust in the long run.

Will Cash find vindication in proving Adeline is more than what she seems, or will he also fall victim to to the love his brothers are already experiencing? And will The Merchants and Adeline be able to head off the bloodthirsty gangs who are hot on the heels of the ledger or are they doomed to lose everything?

It took me a minute to realize that each book named after each of the men are aimed to show the connections formed between Adeline and them. I really couldn't stand Cash in the first book. He was just an alphahole with little redeeming qualities that I could see. But I was able to see a bit deeper under his own cold exterior to see the heart beating below. Cash is just protective of those he cares about and will do anything to keep them safe, even at the detriment of his own best interests. His connection with Adeline, while difficult to get started due to his own reservations, was livewire you just have to grab onto and ride out.

I thought I would have a problem with the overwhelming change between who Adeline pretended to be and who she really was but I grew to love that she was a badass of her own making. She was able to defend herself easily with little to no assistance from her handsome men. I don't like damsels in distress. I want heroines who can take care of themselves and even save their own men from harm.

I loved Cash more than I would have thought. It was nice to see the human iceberg melt under the love of a good woman.
