After destroying the Muudia Portal passage and saving their home worlds, the newly assembled V-357 crew are faced with many dangers from inside and outside their ship. As they search for the true passage home, the crew struggles to sustain their just mission despite becoming the most-wanted criminals in a new dimension.
Along the way, the science given them before their journey is proven to be faulty. The hope of ever seeing their homes again becomes fractured at a foundational level. Through creativity and friends in unexpected places, the V-357 crew press forward; only because they can’t go back.
Their harrowing journey draws them ever-closer to a mysterious being more powerful than they’ve ever experienced or imagine!
Amazing. That is all I could say. I read the first book in 2019 and finished maybe a month before Covid hit. I forgot most of the first book since it has been 2 years, so I was confused on some parts of. I loved the cliffhanger at the end! It shows that a 3rd book can be made, and I hope it happens! Thank you all for taking the time to read this review. I recommend the book to alot of people! So like I said. Amazing. The only word to describe the book and the series it is in, is Amazing.
Part two of a series, this science fiction novel is about the plucky crew of the spaceship V-357. After destroying the "bad guys" in part one, the crew suddenly has a very hard time getting home (the portal that they use was destroyed).
There is a mutiny attempt, there is the realization that the science given to them before their mission started is faulty, and there is the realization that they are the most wanted criminals in a new dimension. The crew presses forward, no matter what; going back is not an option.
This book is literally a family affair. It is written by a father and his three children, so it will appeal to young people and adults. It is campy sci-fi (with sound effects!) that will keep the reader entertained.
This book kept me up all night. You can feel that the father wrote this book with great love, and you can even feel the interesting impact that his children threw into it!
This book made me smile multiple times, and it was definitely because of the wholesome flow. The book also had sound effects, so make sure you are listening! I almost restarted it because I didn't notice until late in the book.
This book is for all ages, and will recommend to my family!
First I think it is great this was a family project. Showing your kids what is possible is awesome and I bet they loved every bit of it! I love sci-fi and thought this book has good promise. Love the give back part the price might be a bit high but I say follow your gut and what a great cause.
I didn’t enjoy this book as much as I would have hoped, as the writing was a bit dry. It was still pretty good, so I gave it four stars. The world- building was well- balanced with the plot, and I liked the characters. I was not able to emotionally connect with this book.
The novel is suitable for those who enjoy reading about space exploration and adventures like Star Wars. The crew of the spacecraft try to find their way home.
