We’ve been through so much, and made it through to the other side, or so I thought.

Who would’ve guessed that we’d come full circle and I’d find myself back in Avalon. That one of the people who was meant to be one of my greatest enemies would be one of my closest confidants.

I remember everything.
Too much.
Enough to make the world shatter.

The war isn’t over yet, but we’re winning this battle.
Even if it’s the last thing I do.

I don't want to sound like a prude, but...

What's with all the sex?

I mean, yeah, it's an RH, sex should be there. But it felt like it was like 40-50% of the book. When you have so many scenes, it's bound to get boring, so I just got to the point where I skipped scenes just to get to the action (and by action, I mean plot).

So yup, really cool, fun story, but can't give it more than 3 stars. I had to skip too may pages.

I have read each one of these books as soon as it's come out. But I suddenly find myself tired of the series. Things keep getting dragged out and I'm at the point that I'm done. I hope Remy gets her HEA with her guys, but I just can't any longer.

Ridiculously predictable. 2 the FMC is obtuse stars
Cliffhanger ending. I’m going to continue this series because this is the first dud in the series.

🌟🌟🌟🌟💫

I first discovered Sloane Murphy in the Shadow Legacies series & I knew I had to go back and read this series. Let me tell you, that was an excellent life choice right there.

Each book in this series just keeps on getting better and better. I am still not ok with the ending of this book and I have already moved onto reading book 6 because I NEED TO KNOW! I had an inkling that something wasn’t right, but I did not think it was going to go that wrong.

I cannot say enough great things about the characters, the story and the development that Sloane Murphy has created with this series. The characters have such depth & I love the underlining theme within the story about questioning what has been told to you from those in authority. This book and series is absolutely amazing & I need to know how this all ends!

I'm enjoying binge reading this series so much! Damn, Remy is a fantastic character! I love that the story is ramping up so much in this book. The fact that the whole harem has become a family is just amazing, honestly I wasn't sure how the leads from all the factions would get along at ALL, but Sloane Murphy has done a wonderful job at weaving these relationships together. I'm really hoping to see more of Morgan. In fact I would adore a little novella or something from Morgans POV. Hint, Hint 😉
Edit to add: There is a Morgan series! YESSS!

I love this series so much. Remy is such a fierce warrior and even though she has been through so much pain she still keeps fighting for those she loves.
He men are all such strong character's who love Remy more than anything and I adore how much they care about her.
This book definitely delves into Remy's history and we find out so much. Pleanty of things solved and lots of new surprises. Definitely give this paranormal series a read as these books are so good.

Definitely more emotional this round!
.
This one felt more subdued that the others. I’m 50/50 whether I liked that because on one hand I liked that the pieces were coming together and that emotional moment where Remy discovered something truly heartbreaking but then on the other hand I wanted more action and excitement.
.
Considering where we left off in the last book with the action and revelations I expected the level to get higher but it felt stagnant. In saying that I did still enjoy the book. The plot is moving along nicely and I’m enjoying the mystery, well until you get to the end and get your kind blown. The world of this book expanded even more and I love it. It’s fascinating, original and completely out the box. Nothing is as it seems which keeps you guessing and I love that about a paranormal/fantasy series.
.
The characters are great still seeing growth. Must admit we are still seeing plenty of relapses and repeats but it’s to be expected. I’d love to see more working together with the factions. Not just mentions but actually reading them working together and seeing those bridges being built. Something I hope to see in the showdown to come in the next book I hope.
.
I’m so excited for the next one. I need to see how it ends and how Remy overcomes her new hurdle.

A crown of fire and wrath delves deeper into the mystery around who could be responsible for bringing the war withon the factions, it also gives us a look at avalon where the angels live.

This book brought out all the feels, my heart broke for remy when she finally unlocked those unwanted memorys and it soared with how much love she recieves from the guys and all the people around her.

Carrying on from the cliff of an ending in the last book, we got to see Avalon and all its beauty, it was nice to read abit more about amantras past and see where she originated from.

Another explosive ending from sloan! Just when you think youve got the villans figured out another spanner gets thrown in the works!

Really looking forward to the final book!

I am so loving this series about Remy and her guys, in this book we get to find out about her past as that explains why she was taken by archangel Michael and that cliff hanger at the end of book four.

These books are full of intrigue and suspense as you won't know who to trust plus how everything changes with this fast paced story that will have you hooked from the first page wanting to get closer to finding out the truth.

Love how feisty Remy still is and takes no crap from anyone even her guys, but some of her memories from the past shake her to the core as she remembers some of her repressed emotions and what they ment to her. The more you turn the pages the more we are leaning things that are linked to how everything is unfolding.

Can't get enough of this world that Sloane has created and just when you think that it is all going to come to a head, BAM! everything changes as that cliff hanger she has left us on is a killer, i need the next book to find out what is going off!! Hurry up as i can't wait to see what happens next.

As much as I love the story it is being dragged out a little too much. Thus the four stars instead of five. With that said I am still very invested in finishing the series. I love all of Remy's guys! I would love a Levi or Roman! I will seriously miss the steamy scenes between them and Remy when the series is done.
I am moving on to the last book now.

Murphy has a brilliant way of making you laugh until you cry.

If you’re like me currently binging this series two years after it’s initial release then you and I are the lucky ones, as we don’t have to wait or recall how book 4 finished. Just in case your forgotten, let’s give a quick recap…

Remy received an omnipotent letter from her faithful friend known as ‘M’. In this letter, M warns Remy of her Earth brother, Bauer, working against her and betraying her when she lets her guard down. This is fair warning so God knows why it comes as a shock when Bauer turns Hunter mode on and tries to assassinate. Now, he is successful in seriously maiming Remy and the aftermath which follows is fabulous!

With this assassination attempt, in swoops Angel freaking Gabriel, nope not actually Gabriel, it’s ‘M’ as in the Head of the Archangels Michael who sweeps Remy off to Avalon.

Which is why I’m currently sat here laughing like a hyena in chapter 1 at Levi’s expense in A Crown of Fire and Wrath. I mean it’s not funny, but laugh or cry right? I won’t lie, in the beginning I laughed, I had so many mixed emotions to the point I even laughed at Levi's expense when Michael swooped in to save Remy and later, I then cried as we all the revelation Remy had when remembering her and Levi’s loss.

description

That’s the thing with Murphy, she has a brilliant way of reeling you into her fictional world, loving and hating with passion; your captured hook, line and sinker.

In this instalment, we learn so much more about Remy and get confirmation that she was in fact the right hand to the General of the Death Dealers once upon a rather long time ago. In learning this, we begin to delve into her life in Avalon as Amantara (aka Mara) along with the threats on her life, most prominent is from somebody under the alias of the ‘Archiver’. Without spoiling anything, I did guess early on who this was however, 'The Archivers' accomplice I most definitely did not see coming nor the reasons behind their need for vengeance - all will be revealed in A Crown of Pride and Ruin. The twists and turns that lead us to the reveal is quite clever and sets us up perfectly for the beginning of the end!

My only frustration that’s become noticeable now we are immersed into this world and the characters lives is the lack of descriptive words. Instead we are given rather mundane and repetitive ways to describe elements or themes in the story, it’s lazy and I don’t want that for these characters because this is an epic finale book. That being said I do love Sloane Murphy, when she writes her stories to flow from the pages and is so easy to read and catapults you into the book and doesn't let go until you've finished.

This series is definitely a series I'll be recommending - 4 smutty sparkly starts from me!

This book was a mix of amazing moments, like I couldn’t believe I was about to cry from happy tears to wanting to throw my phone across the room because of some incidents haha. I guess that is a sign that I am 100% invested in this story and am dreading the ending (at least we get all these spinoffs from the same world so its not truly over).

I waffled at moments wanting to give this 5 stars and 4 stars. I loved some of the non-fighting scenes. The moments with a lost friend made me cry happy tears, the adorable interaction with Creek’s family was another that made me crazy smile. The Christmas scenes were utter perfection and I laughed so hard, one of my favorite parts was the outfits she made them wear and the adorable cherished scenes with Everly’s grandchild and daughter. These family moments were easily 5/5 stars, made me really fall even more for this make-shift family (especially with all the horrible real family moments and memories divulged in this book). I was really happy we got answers that we had been waiting for awhile. ALSO I love Morgan and her guys so much. Like I am so excited to get their story because of the little tidbits and awesome chemistry thrown around in this book. I love how protective they are of Remy, especially with how she dropped in on them.

I think the reason I dropped this to a 4 stars (if I could give it 4.5 stars I would have easily), was because of the actual big storyline. We left off with a huge betrayal again in book 4, we didnt get any clarity on it and just got more questions which made it a little convoluted to me. Like I know book 6 will give me all the answers but it’s pretty muddled at this point. I think it got to drag on a bit. Unlike with the other books I put this down multiple times, it took me awhile to get back into it because I think of that. I did like getting to know Michael and seeing Avalon. I don’t know, like I knew who the bad guy was awhile ago, so the ending didnt shock me and I started reading book 6 already and also knew the one character wouldn’t do that to Remy on purpose. I think because there are also so many characters involved in this world I had to reference back who some of the other players were (like some of the 2nd of the packs/covens/2nd tiered side characters). And some of the flashbacks made sense and some different (I assume they connect with the reveals coming in book 6 but I am not sure yet).

Overall would give this a solid 4 stars, on the way to 4.5. I think the characterization and relationship building is phenomenal, the storyline just fell short for me a little in this one. Definitely would still recommend, on to book 6 so then I can start some of the spinoff audiobooks I have been dying to get to ❤️

🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹/6

I absolutely loved book 5. It's my favorite (so far) of the series.

Book 5 start off without a hitch right where book 4 ended WITH Remy taken to Avalon.

We get to learn more about Remy's past lifes and her relationship with Michael.

And we also learn that she has terrible taste when it comes to ordering food. I mean a peppermint mocha (the extra cream is the only thing I agree with) and chicken 'n bacon toastie. Seriously?! 😅

I did enjoy the girl time tough I think both of them needed a little coffee chit chat and just be normal for a bit.

Finding out the reason her memories were bound broke my heart. But the scene when she told the Levi. Damn every woman needs a man like that by her side.

I loved that we got to see Everly again and that Remy heard it from her that she doesn't blame her for what happened.

So to sum it up this book was a roller-coaster full of pain, love and steam. There wasn't a lof of action which leads me to believe it's setting the scene for the next book which I can't wait to read

The saga continues and in this one we get to see more players added to the chess board. We get to find out about Remy’s past which threw me as much as it threw Remy. It was interesting to see why she blocked her memories and it really was emotional to the point that she fleas down to Morgan and her men and they help her process. Each of her men have their own part to play in this also and I loved how they all got together along with Morgan and the horsemen, Fallon and the witches , all factions and Everlys daughter and granddaughter for Christmas. It was perfect and so was the surprise Michael brought to see them... All the way through this book I had a niggling feeling about one character and it sat uneasily with me all the way through and as I got to the end oh wow I find I was right to trust my niggle.... This betrayal is huge... I don’t know how they are gonna come back from this..This book like the others dragged me in and wouldn’t let go. I need to get a wriggle on and get the last installment read I need to know how this is gonna pan out.

Who’s feet are dragging? The author does a great job on slowly moving the pace of the story, I feel that everything is done in slow motion. We have reached a point where not everything is a new battle or adventure. Things are slowing down and we get our FMC relaxing at home and having some peace of mind even if it’s just for a few days. Everyone is still working hard at uncovering the enemies, Remy still has slowly been recovering her lost memories. Some progression but a bit of boredom the sex scenes are very repetitive, they might start in a different place but the same thing happens, using the same words. Maybe the author got tired of writing the scenes since there’s no originality. While the betrayal on the last act is also getting old, it happened in the last book. Will it happen in the next? The only reason I want to read the next and last book is just to see how the story wraps up but the series has declined. It’s very disappointing to see.

Emotionally Unstable!!!
I just can't!! My heart was in my throat THE ENTIRE TIME!!

Dag this series is so good and the writing is such a complete mind f**k. I mean you really have no idea what is coming next. First off Michael is mine. I am just putting it out there. I don't know his story but I want him. That is the problem. All of these characters are so incredible that you want them all. Poor Remy can't catch a break and danger lurks at every turn. This is why she needs so many powerful men around her.. Not even that is enough at times. This book is the who's who of the supernatural. Remy is making alliances and forming relationships with some of the more powerful, Bad*ass beings in the entire world. It is a PNR reader's dream. (Hence the licking and claiming that is happening) I am scared for book 6. I don't trust Sloane not one bit. #EmotionallyUnstable.

What a ride. ACoFaW is book five in the Shadow Walker Saga by Sloane Murphy. The book is not a stand-alone , I recommend to read the books in order.
This book picks up where the previous one, ACoTaL, was left off. Remy was severely wounded and is back at her first home to heal. Her mates are missing her, but were unable to follow. While she's on another realm, she discovers new skills. Back at earth, old enemies and new danger lurks.
This book is the next instllment in the Saga, fast paced, action packed, unputdownble. Excellent written, beautifully thought out and beautifully told. I can't wait what happens in the next installment.

I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
I'm addicted to these characters and what happens to them, I'm almost as addicted to Morgan and her men as I am to Remy, but not quite 😏
This is another EPIC installment of this series, with twists and turns around the corner that you don't see coming.
I just love the way that Sloane writes, it flows from the page and is so easy to read and catipultes you into the book and doesn't let go until you've finished, it then leaves it mark on you and you NEED more.
I for one can't wait for the next book to come out ❤️
This series is definitely a series I'll be recommending until I'm blue in the face as it's a brilliant series 💖💖⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The first three books were great but this one...

This installment was harder to read. The author seemed stuck on Remy blaming herself for everything bad happening to everyone she cares about. All the clues to who was behind all the turmoil were there. I guessed it as the reader and none of the main characters who knew the villian picked up on it or even suspected. Add to that it seems like less care was taken with the editing and proofreading in this book. Ordinarily, I do try to finish a series because happy endings and all, but sadly, I'm not sure if I want to put in the effort this time.

This is the fifth book in The Shadow Walkers Saga and it is not a standalone. It picks up where the fourth book left off and readers are in for one heck of a treat. There is so much to love about this book from the characters to the action that is taking place. There is more revealed about Remi’s background. If you are looking for an astounding pnr book, then this is one for you. Filled with drama, danger, heat and twists, this is one book to one click and get into your library. I volunteered to read a copy of this book.

This series, this book, they just keep getting better and better. I am so invested in these characters at this point that I feel like I know them. I want to know them! This unique world that Sloan has created is one that you can get lost in and let’s be honest, we all need good books to get lost in these days.

Every book reveals more secrets and at the same time has you asking many more. I love the way Remy’s guys and friends adore her and the way she has an absolutely bad ass team at her back.

Sloan’s words have a way of not letting you go once you start.

Traitors in their midst.

I knew who one of them was, the signs were all there but even so why didn't Remy figure it out sooner. The clues were in her memories and it is after nearly dying so many times you would think she would be a bit more careful who she trusted. Still she is brave but reckless, a dangerous combination and I am not sure if she can survive the attempts on her life. Time will tell but her men will tear the world apart to save her, will they get there in time.

A christmas surprise

I doubted it for a second but I did see that betrayel coming. I can't wait to find more as to why. However this one was also a little boring. Some shocking revelations though but I just expected more. Feels like this and the last have focused so much Remy's internal ramblings and her not dealing with anything, which is annoying. Future Remy won't survive the amount shit current Remy is avoiding.

i was disappointed in general that kain and remy spoke telepathically so little. it’d be cool if she tried to speak to him from avalon.
also nevin was sus af when he started being rude and mean. also they were questioning who erased amelia from mara’s journals when nevin was literally the other one person who was reading and touching them apart from remy herself.
at least michael wasn’t persuading too much.

Holy Fates...

LOVED IT! just as good as the others.
Here I was hoping something would happen with Michael...
Each book never fails to throw some sort of emotional bomb at you in the best kind of way.
The foreshadowing on Nevin made the ending even more harder.
HURRY ON THE NEXT BOOK PLEASE! lol until then my mind will wonder of all the possibilities..

This one was another good addition to the series. I just found this one a bit drawn out at times. It was interesting to be kept guessing as to who was behind what was going on and who the traitor was but I had kinda guessed early on, not sure if I was meant to or not! Regardless of all of that I seriously love this series hard and it has kept me sane during isolation and I am going to have a huge gap in my life once Remy and her boys are done but the saving grace is knowing there is more to come from the side characters.

I'm so disappointed nothing happened with Michael. But I find it great that I got the feeling of who the traitor is even when I hate mysteries.
I liked the angst over the memory and her running was a bit overdramatic but whatever. Also, what's the deal with Caleb and her? He is way too close to her for me, and if I were Morgan, I'd be hella jealous.
