The Chocolate Magic Cozy Mystery books have happily-ever-after endings. No cliff-hangers. Although each book can be read as a stand-alone, the reader’s experience is enhanced by reading the books in order.

The Chocolate Magic Café – The beginning. - Successful chocolatier Magda Caraganic decides to convert an old stable into a chocolate shop and café. The work sparks off spirit activity marked by the appearance of a mysterious ghost cat. At the same time Magda’s beautiful Birman cat, Crystal, starts to act strangely. This is a story of friendship, friendly ghosts, cats, chocolate and true love.

Spirit Magic - Spirit Magic is a light-hearted, entertaining tale with a happily-ever-after ending! - When Magda decides to make some extra-special truffles using imported whisky, strange events start to occur. Her cat, Crystal, always seems to sense when things aren’t quite right. As Magda and her fiancée Sam plan their wedding, they are plagued by a strongminded Scottish spirit.

Celtic Spirits - A honeymoon in Ireland! What more Magda and her husband ask for? - When Sam’s aunt Alison contacts them about the possibility of Sam buying her cottage, it’s an easy decision to spend their honeymoon in romantic Ireland. Once there, they find themselves immersed in family history and mystery. The discovery of an old well stirs up trouble, murder and witchcraft. Add in a magical pendant, hidden places, new friends … and of course, a mysterious cat … for another delightful story from the pen of Olivia Swift!

Lonesome Spirits - Join Sam and Magda on their latest adventure! A must-read about chocolates, a psychic cat, séances, a ghost town … and murder! - While helping their friends Merle and Branston plan a feature for their dude ranch, they are visited by the spirit of a young woman. Never ones to let things be, they rally their psychic friends for a séance to try and determine who she is and why she’s so sad. Meanwhile, Magda’s cat, begins to act strangely … well, not so strange for this cat!

Christmas Spirits - It’s Christmas at the Chocolate Magic Café! - Part of Magda’s Christmas plan are to install a model train in the café. Trains seem to be a theme as Crystal keeps giving clues which include trains. When one of the customers says she hears noises in her house, naturally Magda and her friends need to investigate. They encounter the spirit of a sad little girl and her dog. Will Magda, Sam and their friends be able to enjoy the holiday spirit of the café and the glitter of the Christmas dance at the ranch, especially when there’s a robbery, murder and some very naughty elves!

Kindred Spirits - Nothing stays buried forever. - Magda, Sam, and their friends pool their resources to purchase an old bank building. Problems arise with an angry spirit during the renovations. Meanwhile, Magda’s cat keeps pushing a magazine to the floor – opening to a page about family ancestry. To their surprise, the spirit appears again when Magda and Sam take a trip to Ireland and the spirit’s mood hasn’t improved.

Painted Spirits - Cowboy dreams, séances, painted horses, a rodeo and a mystery . . . they all happen in a new adventure for Magda Barnes and friends of The Chocolate Magic Café. - Magda’s best friend Rula seems to have a cowboy spirit in her stable. Imagine the surprise when an artist paints the same cowboy, which he has seen in his dreams. Will the friends be able to determine the connection between the two when they come together for a séance? Meanwhile, in her usual manner, Crystal is knocking books to the floor opening to pages providing hints about family . . . and danger.

Olivia Swift loves writing cozy mysteries! Her stories are inspired by her varied interests…gardening, spirits, crystals and so much more. Of course, there must be a romance or two in her books and a happily-ever-after ending!
Growing up in a small English village, Olivia is only too familiar with the various characters that make up a community. There is always an event, drama, or mystery amongst the village folk.
Only a few years ago, Olivia and her husband chose to take an early retirement and moved to the Aquitaine region of France. There, in her sun-filled study, she is able to sit and write her books. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the window overlooks her lovely French country garden.

Psychic cats, ghosts, romance, mystery and chocolate, what’s not to love about this great series of books? The story begins when a young enterprising woman Magda inherits an old stable. Magda currently runs her chocolate truffle business from her small kitchen and is excited about the possibility of turning the stable into a chocolate café. Just happens that an old teenage friend of hers is a builder and architect. Oh did I tell you about the cat ghost in the stable? It is just one of many who have stories and mysteries to be solved. I found these books to very entertaining. The characters, including the ghosts, are very descriptive and relatable. Each ghost has a mystery that needs solving before they can move on and people who want to help them. Being able to see ghost and interrelate with them is something most people would like to keep quiet. But when you find others with the same or similar abilities that want to help magic happens. You might want to have a box of truffles handy when you start reading. I recommend these books to any and all who love cozy mysteries.

I thought I'd read this box set, interspersed with other novels and I enjoyed the first one, although I noticed there was an abundance of indirect speech mixed with normal dialogue. Many of the group discussions included five or six people and bouncing from one person to the next became confusing. There were just too many characters and too much trivial conversations. By the fifth book I realised I was getting bored since the stories were getting samey. Even the dialogue seemed to be getting repetitive. There was a different problem with a ghost to solve, but with each, I could almost predict what was going to happen next. I'm keeping the box set on my Kindle as I'll try to return to the stories at a later date.

The Chocolate Magic Cozy Mysteries comprise a favorite series. I really want to taste Magda's truffles. I love the characters in these mysteries; Magda and Sam, of course, but also all their friends, family and the cats. These people and Crystal the cat have some real skills. I read each book as it was published. With this set, you will be able to stay in this magical world through all seven adventures - including a trip to Ireland. Each book works as a stand alone, but I am delighted I got to read them in order. I highly recommend this well written set of mysteries.

Quite a cast of characters

Instead of the usual two or three main characters thus series has almost a dozen. They interact in such a way that the reader barely realizes who the actual main character is. Upon reflection it amazed me how accepting of the ghosts everyone was but when reading the books their reactions seemed perfectly normal. I wonder if there WILK be more pin this series.

7 books in one.

This is a great 7 book set. It has romance, chocolate, trips to Ireland, horses, danger, and spirits; both medicinal and spiritual. All the stories are linked and have the same base characters. The story builds off of book one right through book seven. Do you believe?

Entertaining

Despite having read the first three books in this series it was no hardship to reread and refresh my memory. It was really good to carry on and read rest of the books. It is well written and I could actually picture things as if I was there at the time. Highly recommended

Wow

I loved all the books. The best thing about this book is that there is no divorce or a big fight amongst all the couples like Sam- Magda, Rula- Mikey, Katie-Declan, and Branston-Merle. Their friendship is very unique as they share their adventures and encourage each other. Even though there is a crime involved in all the stories, the series is full of positivity. Wonderful.

Poorly written gave up reading

Not only was these books poorly written the author clearly has a bias against people with weight issues referring to characters as "chunky " and 'large'.. too many characters introduced and not fleshed out made reading and following difficult. I gave up...

Sweet page turner

I loved that this was Christian friendly. No bad words or explicit anything. I didn't get much sleep because I did not want to put it down until the last book in the series and still I wish it continued. Great cozy read!!

Enjoyed it

Really enjoyed how the stories built upon each other. I could almost picture myself a part of the group of friends. I would definitely recommend this series even if you don't normally read this "tyoe" of story. I could not wait to see how the stories ended.

A good read

I enjoy a series where there are reoccurring characters, and this definitely has that. I also love cats and enjoyed Crystal, Pushkin (the ghost cat) and Jezebell, and what they were able to contribute.
