Webtoon; C1-27
1. Abused lady (FL) given the chance to relive her life, and she decides to throw herself at the mercy of the black sheep (ML) of the family holding her captive (both physically and financially). She takes this chance on the basis of the ML being the only person in her last life who was not immediately shitty to her. The FL is wary, skeptical, and hypercompetent- she soon organizes the ML's holdings and house more efficiently, and prepares for their inevitable (in her mind) separation. Meanwhile the ML is increasingly intrigued by the FL and her secrets, while all of his subordinates fall in love with her.
2. I know, I know it's all very cliche but if the Deep Manhwa Hole has taught me anything, it's that I terribly am fond of certain cliches. And a life redo combined with abused people finding love and companionship and purpose while using their past life knowledge to maximum effect is SUCH a good setup. You'll have to do something really bad to disappoint me with that setup.
3. Still early days yet, but there does seem to be a lot of impending political plotting and a fair amount of smut, both of which I approve of. Smut is way easier to deal with in manhwa format- most other format mostly make me feel vaguely uncomfortable. In manhwa/mahua/manga art, smut can actually be kinda hot.

Stopped at 15.1
Sigh. Yet another unsexy Korean webnovel. I don’t like making comparisons but none of these hold a candle to The Under the Oaktree which has its own issues but is always enjoyable. I’m going to accredit most of this to translation, but the wording is so awkward. Ex: white throat.
Elisha had a rough life before, so I understand she has some PTSD. But there are way too many lines with her crying, teary-eyed, or red eyes.
Lucerne has weirdo, aggressive vibes.
But outside of that, him having the ability to command and communicate with shadows was very interesting. The second, him having religious(?) guilt about purity was interesting. That can be an issue for some men/people trying to maintain sexual purity/abstinence/waiting for marriage, etc. I’ve seen it in real life, but I don’t think I’ve personally seen it in a story before.
I’m going to try and give this a fair assessment, so rating may change.

I've just read 50 chapters of this manwha and I don't think I will continue with this series. :/ It seemed very promising at first, definitely has some very interesting concepts, e.g. the shadow power. Also I do like the two main characters and how well they plot together. One also cannot say anything against the art style, because it is GORGEOUS!!!
After 50 chapters, however, I must say that 1st I expected this manwha to be spicy. It is probably the cleanest manwha I have read so far, which is a little disappointing. Additionally, I simply feel like the story doesn't make much progress. Sure, the plot and intruiges are good, but I wanted to see a development in the main couple's relationship and here they are still acting as if they're just useful for another even though it is evident they care for each other... I feel like we're making one step forward and then take 3 backwards which is a little frustrating. So while the beginning of the story was still good, it is lacking a little now. :(
