After getting a divorce, losing her job, and her parents moving across the world in the same week, Amelia Blake has hit rock bottom. With nowhere else to go, she journeys across the country to seek the help of a half-sister she’s never met, hoping she can pick up the pieces of her life and move forward with a family that is much larger and more chaotic than she anticipated.

When a hitchhiking musician named Jack helps her fix a flat tire, she is drawn to his undying optimism and mesmerizing music, so much that she offers to be his manager and help him share his music with the world so she can spend more time with him.

Though Jack keeps details about himself secret, he and Amelia grow closer until his past suddenly catches up to him and threatens to ruin everything the two of them have been building together. Torn between finding her place in her new family and helping Jack reconcile with his, Amelia has to learn to trust her own feelings and the man who knows exactly what it means to let go of the past and follow your heart.

I can’t believe that this is the end of the Simple Love Stories series! I feel like I have lived a lifetime with these characters and like they have become my friends. Let Go is the 7th book in Dana LeCheminant’s Simple Love Stories series. This book made me feel so many emotions and I just couldn’t put it down!
Amelia had me from the beginning, I felt for her. She was just trying to find her place in life and get her life back in order. She was such a nice girl who tried her best to make people happy. I related to her, she was kind of high strung like me :). However she cared deeply for others and she was trying her best to get back on her feet. But I loved how different she was with Jack. He helped her relax and learn to live life for herself and not for others. But Amelia had to figure out where her home was and how to find her place in life if she wanted to be happy. She found a family but would she find the one who truly understood her?
Jack was like a breath of fresh air. He was completely different from me and yet I loved reading about him. He gave off the appearance of someone who just floated through life, but underneath his smile he was hurting. I really liked Jack and I liked reading about him interacting with Amelia. I knew that he had a past, and I just wanted to read more about him. He was such a nice boy and although his past was haunting him, he was doing his best to make the right decisions. But the longer he ignored his past, the more damage his secret could do.
Amelia and Jack were perfect together, they balanced each other out. Amelia was organized and Jack helped Amelia relax. Their relationship was so sweet and I really liked reading about them falling in love. Amelia and Jack were both trying to find themselves and it would take a lot of time and errors for them to finally be happy.
Let Go was simply amazing and I loved how everything connected. The ending was perfect and although I am sad to see this series come to a close, I felt like it was perfect. I always enjoy seeing old characters and it was so fun to see how everyone was doing. I would totally recommend Let Go. Let Go is a clean contemporary romance.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.

It's hard to believe it's been less than a year since I read Simplicity, the first book in the A Simple Love Story series, and now this wonderful series has come to an end. I've enjoyed them all so much, I going to miss this wonderful "family" that fully welcomes the newcomers into their group. They're always there to help and support each other.

Amelia moves from Chicago to San Francisco when she finds herself divorced with no job. With her parents recently moved to Denmark, she decides to look up the half-sister she didn't know she had until a year ago. Along the way she meets Jack and gives him a ride to which ends up probably being the best thing she could've done.

Amelia is a people pleaser who needs to find her own voice. She reminded me of the character Maggie Carpenter in Runaway Bride, who changed herself for each guy she became engaged to. Maggie would do activities they liked to do and eat eggs the way they liked them cooked, when she didn't really like those activities or kinds of eggs. Amelia wasn't as bad as the Julia Roberts character, but like electricity, she often took the path of least resistance. With help from Jack and the big family she didn't know she had that often overwhelms her, she searches and finds what she really wants in her life.

Amelia isn't the only one doing some searching and finding--Jack's been searching for what he really wants. I liked Jack. He'd found out what made him happy and it wasn't running his father's company and pretending to be someone he wasn't for the other elite. Amelia and Jack were both kind to others and were a great couple. I liked seeing all the other characters and getting caught up with them one last time. The Epilogue was a great ending for all of the characters I've fallen in love with while reading their stories. I look forward to seeing what the author has next in line, as she's become an auto-read/buy for me over the past year.

I received a complimentary copy to review but bought a copy for my personal library.

This was the first book I read from this author, but I believe my long TBR list will get even longer now. It was a beautiful story, and you can't help but fall in love with the characters. Amelia and Jack are just perfect for each other, and I love how they met. When Amelia's ex-husband shows up, everything changes because he wants Amelia back. Sometimes I get too invested in the books I read and get too attached to the characters because any character who threatens a love story's happy ending is an enemy to me, and I want to shoot them to the moon. The message of this book is clear - don't judge a book by its cover. Some people are not who they seem to be. If you love clean love stories with some unexpected twists, this one is for you.

I think Jack and Amelia are so cute together! I loved how happy Jack always was and that he could help Amelia see the blessings in her own life when everything seemed, well, terrible. We all need one of those in our life. Or better yet, we can be Jack for others.

Dana LeCheminant’s books are fabulous and they just keep getting better and better.

I have not read enough of these books by Dana LeCheminant. the ones I have read are Simplicity, As Long as You Love Me and Dear Dalia. I am really going to have to read the rest. All of this series are in the what to read next section, so check them out!

I am so sad to see this series end. Everything about it has been fantastic. The author’s characters and plots have kept me wanting to read more. And this book…it just summed the series up so well. You can read these in any order, they stand alone so well. I really think you should at least read Simplicity before this one.

This one features Amelia. I loved her voice. She is one of those people that can’t tell other people no. And as she grows throughout this book, she realizes, with help, that she needs to find out what she wants and go for it. I loved her loving heart. She goes out of her way to help Jack, both when she finds him on the road and when they’re in San Fransico. But as the story goes along, Jack helps her just as much as she ever helped him.

Jack is great too. I loved how he was always happy. But the reader sees a different side to him when they go to visit his family. I think it just helped me to remember that we all can be happy, no matter our circumstances. It would have been fun if we could have known a little of what Jack was thinking along the way.

I loved this story. The epilogue really brings the whole series together. And it left me crying. It was so beautiful. Now, I’ve got to go read the rest!

I was sent an e-copy of Let Go as a gift from the author. All opinions are my own.

Well-written story told though the optimistic perspective of Amelia. As she hits rock bottom in her life, Amelia reaches out to help Jack, who she thinks is a homeless musician, and discovers that helping others has its own reward. Amelia finds love, familial and romantic, in unexpected places.

I have enjoyed every book in this series and Let Go was no exception! I felt a connection to the main characters, Amelia and Jack, as they both try to find direction in the face of unexpected challenges. Amelia crying while sitting in the rain next to her broken down car is all of us at one point! I love their journey to heal and figure out what they really want from life, and how instrumental they were in helping each other.

I absolutely adore this series and have fallen in love with all of the characters - it is so hard to say goodbye! Each book is a standalone but I will say if you can read Simplicity (Book #1) first, this book will be so much more meaningful. The epilogue was absolute perfection and had me crying in a "this scene is beautiful and touching" kind of way.

Dana is an auto-buy author for me now and I cannot wait to see what she writes next because whatever it is, you can bet I will be picking it up. 5 stars for this fabulous series finale that gave me all the feels!

I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author but a positive review was not required.

I have really enjoyed this series. I really loved the meet cute in this one. I could recognize the feeling of rock bottom and sitting in the mud crying in the rain. I appreciated the character development but I am not sure I feel quite as close to Jack and Amelia as I did to Beck and Colin or Seth and Catherine. I did love the Epilogue. I won’t spoil it, but it was a good wrap up for the whole series.

Let Go goes beyond a clean, wholesome contemporary romance in a lot of ways. The main character, Blake, takes not only a physical journey, but a journey to determine who she is. Her circumstances force her at rock bottom and she has to figure out how to climb back up. I think the depth beyond the romance makes the story an engaging read that romance readers will enjoy and find compelling. The characters are likeable and well-rounded. The plot is engaging and entertaining. I found it to be a page-turner and a comfortable relaxing read. The author does a good job at immediately drawing the reader into the story and continuing to captivate the reader. The story works well as a standalone, however, I think reading the series as a whole would shine more light on the other characters' backgrounds. It would be a fun book to take on a road trip or vacation. I recommend reading this book and the other books in this series.

Please note that I received a free copy to review, however, this is my honest opinion.

A sweet contemporary romance about self-discovery and moving on, this was an enjoyable read. When I first started reading this book, I recognized a lot of reoccurring characters from the series, though I had only previously read books five and six giving me a vague idea regarding their stories. However; another ARC reviewer gave me a heads up and told me to go back and read book one, Simplicity, first and I am so glad that I paused reading this and did that before I reached the halfway point. Most of the emotional impact of this story came from having known a character in Simplicity and while I think Let Go would still have been a good read without having read that first, it wouldn't have been a five-star read without the other book first. I totally cried during the epilogue, which was due to knowing that connection.
Amelia and Luke were great characters and I enjoyed the personal growth they undertook. This felt like a great wrap up to the "A Simple Love Story" series and I now hope to read the other books I have missed.
The content is clean with swoony romance. I received an advance reader copy of this novel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh man, the ending of this series had me in tears! This book was so good, and it tied all the books together so well. It also gets you excited to read the Terms of Inheritance series. I wondered if we would Amelia in a future book, and I was so glad that we did. I really liked her character and felt so bad for everything she was going through. Jack was so much like his half brother, that you felt like being reunited with an old friend, but he simultaneously felt like a breath of fresh air and an original character. I loved the lyrics to his music, that was one of my favorite parts of this book. I really enjoyed the way Jack and Amelia leaned on each other, and supported each other. They really wanted what was best for each other. Amelia found a family in Jack, and Jack found his happiness in Amelia. They complimented each other perfectly.

Sweet, hurting, heartfelt, romance

Romance, sweet, contemporary; series but stand alone read
Jack and Amelia's story was complicated, but honest. Amelia has so many upheavals in her life, and her life becomes more complex as she meets her siblings and their families for the first time. Amelia, so determined about some things, but a mess with her personal relationships in so many ways, was an interesting character. Her growth over the course of the novel was interesting to see. Jack was so patient with her, and such a good foil for her to help bring out the best in her.
Made me want to read the other books in this series. I'm sure to read more by this author.

Fun romance

This book reminded me of “On the Road” by Jack Kerouac and the protagonist’s name was Jack! Although, it was much more tame. This man did not want to jump in bed with the girl at the first opportunity. The author did a great job wrapping up her whole series with a little surprise at the end tying it all together. A great read for teens and moms.

A perfect ending

The story I didn’t know I needed!! Two people, each at the end of their rope, meet and a beautiful story takes place! It was great to get Amelia’s story, and find out how she ties into the Hastings and Davenport clan. And Jack? Jack keeps his secrets close but I sure wish I could hear his music!

Dana is an amazing author. She brings more emotion, both raw and powerful, to her stories. They address real relationship issues and character flaws. Most importantly, like Jack and Amelia's love story, you witness love blossom, bloom and explode in such beauty and heart. What a beautiful ending to the series.

I really enjoyed getting lost in this story. We got a ton of our previous and loved characters and that was an awesome bonus. I liked how things were woven together.

I’m not sure I’ve read a book that puts as much heart and soul into it than Dana LeCheminant. I have now read her first book and an Advanced Review Copy (ARC) or her latest -available March 15, 2021- and the growth in her writing is unbelievable. I liked the first book a lot, but I LOVED this last book. I can’t wait to go back and read all the books in between and everything else she publishes!

This book comes full circle with all of the characters and while they can be read as a standalone, you’ll get so much more by knowing the other character’s stories. Definitely read book 1 before this one and trust me- get all of them because you’re going to want them all! This book felt effortless to read, but is so full of rich content! I loved the characters. I always love good banter and this one has great banter. The siblings rallying together creating a perfectly, imperfect family.

This is a must read and I highly recommend it!
