4koma, somewhat rarity from Kodansha publisher as far as I know (they usually came from Houbunsha or Ichijinsha). Despite has been adapted into a quite popular anime, my experience with this is just random reading from magazine, so when this volume 1 arrived, I’m really interested and it’s still a fresh experience.
In short, the story is rather flat. Not in the meaning that it’s bad, this is not the cute genre, nor the violent tsukkomi kind of genre but the type where characters are speaking “wonderful” quotes with dead flat face as if nothing is wrong.
While the level of graphical fan service is minimum, which made me more confident in requesting… the dialogues had lots of rather heavy-weight sexual jokes scattered around the place. Trying to hide those with vague translations would be challenging ^^;
