Adding personal reflections and some family tragedy, Plagueworld Chronicles shares the tale of what we knew, when we knew it, and how it felt to be alive through China’s year of the rat.
Adam Robbins is a child of Maine, Harvard-educated with a master’s from the University of Texas, Austin. He is the author of Plagueworld Chronicles (published Jan. 2021) & Poetry Postcards (as yet unpublished), and serves as a logistics-minded LGBT activist when apropos.
He bakes for husband and friends, works off the buttercream in the home gym, and enjoys editing the words of others down to their essentials. His work has appeared in City Weekend, NewsChina, That’s Shenzhen, and The World of Chinese.
After following his college sweetheart to Taipei, Minneapolis, and Beijing, they now reside in Shenzhen, China.
