M/M/M, Shifters, Multiple POV, Fated Mates, MPREG, HEA
A few years ago, I wrote my first book, Dire Warning. Readers loved it and I was on my way to chronicle the Blackwood Pack, seven brothers who are gay wolf shifters in search of their fated mates—stories about love at first sight with twists and turns, angst and humor, romance and adventure and, of course, happy endings. Since then, the pack has expanded, allowing more stories to be told and different paranormals to be included. The series has become, as one reader described it…an “Epic Saga.” Now, twelve books later, Lord Manetu has just been published. I love the M/M paranormal genre because it gives my imagination a lot of territory in which to roam. My mind can really run wild and come up with some amazing stuff when it doesn’t have to stay inside the box. My story ideas come to me as if they were being channeled by my characters, all of whom I love (except for a few villains). They are eager to recount their lives, loves and adventures, and are not reluctant to let it all out when it comes to revealing steamy details. My writing style is free-wheeling and uninhibited and my readers tell me they love it that way; that it makes them feel like they’re right in on the action and a member of the Blackwood Pack. I live in the Northeast and love the beautiful change of seasons, my husband, and our quirky calico cat, though not necessarily in that order. I read a lot (good for the mind) and love gardening (good for the soul). And I’m always happy to hear from my readers and can be reached through Facebook, my private Facebook Group, Twitter, Instagram, or my website.
The thing I hate most about these books is waiting for the next one! I love the way this author bounces from couple to couple so seamlessly. It really adds an extra layer of depth to the overall story. The multi-pov is practically so fluid you barely even notice.
glenn, sawyer, and alex were so wonderful and i could really see how well their personalities fit together. Seeing alex grow in confidence throughout the book was sweet, but it did happen rather suddenly.
Was impatiently waiting for this book, but wow was it worth the wait. We already knew Sawyer and Glenn were fated mates, but then we get Alex who is the cherry on top of a strawberry cheesecake! He reminds me of Kieran and Quin, so fun loving and sweet and just needed some tender loving care. In addition to the main story, we were also taken back to the Blackwood Pack where we get to see how our beloved characters from before is progressing. It was an absolute delight finding out how everyone is doing. The story is moving along nicely, old conflicts are been resolved and new ones are coming, which I'm extremely excited about as it means Ms Rundle won't end this series any time soon. For fans of the Blackwood Pack series this a must read,, if you're new to the series please start with book 1 Dire Warning as each book is a continuation of pervious stories though each book gets an HEA.
This series is best read in order. Like the previous books, Darkness Master is another great story in this long-running, complicated and interesting world. You really do need to listen to these books in order.
I love how this author has created such a complex world and how the characters are connected to each other. I also love that we get to visit with characters from the previous books and that we can see how they change and grow.
There is no way I can write a review that will do justice to this story. Just know that once you start listening you won’t want to stop! I can hardly wait for the next one to come out in audio. I may have to break down and read it with my eyes. 🥰
Nick J. Russo has been doing all of the audiobooks in this series and he is doing a fantastic job. There are many different characters, with many different accents, and he gives each of them a unique voice so that it’s easy to tell who is speaking. I can’t say enough good things about this audiobook.
A copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author/narrator.
This is the tenth book in the :Blackwood Pack Book Series
This was a decent read we are introduced to Swayer's mate's the middle brother of Hunter mate to Fionn . I'm not gonna lie I wasn't too invested in this relationship don't get me wrong I liked everyone but I wasn't very invested in this triangle/three some . It's like everyone was a side character and not a main character plus the power these couples are getting are becoming ridiculous . Know who I really want to see find their mate is Hunters twin Mas than Quin than Mac and finally the singer brother . And poor Fionn I mean come on now he has to deal with more B.S because of his father and shouldn't Sawyer know what happened with Fionn 's mother and father . And I feel bad for Alex too because the Oracle made their father seem like he was a good person when she knew he wasn't . Someone should have told Alex what his father did to his family instead he's going to Paris thinking Fionn is gonna welcome him with open arms .
Now that I've reached book 10, I'll write a quick little review. At first, I wasn't super stoked about the series. I guess the biggest thing that I didn't like was the narration. It has beeen a verrrrry long time since I've read a third person omniscient book. Since getting into the M/M genre I've really gotten used to back and forth narration between the two main MC's. So this was actually kinda weird and as the series grows it hops all around to all the couples. Once I got used to it and was familiar with the characters, the books began to grow on me. There are still some things that aren't my favorite (like how they activate some of their powers, insert eye roll, ahaha) but overall I was drawn into the story and these people. These may not be re-read material, but I am excited for the next book. If you like super insta-love, fated mates, shapeshifters and super-powers, this is the book for you! Okay, not as quick as a review as I thought...
This plot is definitely getting very complicated as the Blackwood Pack gains more members, more powers, and more enemies. It definitely has to happen, but it leaves less time for us to get to know this edition’s MCs. The sexy times in this book were pretty tame, as compared to previous ones, which was a bit of a shame.
Hopefully, some things will begin to be cleared up, as Josiah is held accountable, and Remy gets things squared away with the magic users. I’m hoping to see of this triad in future books and them truly coming into their own powers.
I am so thrilled I found these series! I've spent the last five weeks reading these beautifully written, heart warming, magic and love filled with mystery and intrigue books! Mary Rundle is an amazing writer, who I am so pleased to have found and been invited into her amazing world of Pink Love. All you need is Love to triumph any challenges you face in your life. I highly recommend reading this series and after reading all 10 books straight through and mourning my wait time until book 11 comes out. Guess I'll have to go buy something pink to get me through. Seriously though Read this series you won't be disappointed you did!
This was once again a marathon of action. The only reason this one is four instead of five stars is because I don't feel like there was enough interaction between the three main characters/mates and finding out more about what each of their more personal stories were. That being said, it does make sense because of the fact that there are three. There is not as much interaction with the other couples in the pack but there is a lot of fun with the new characters introduced in the last book. As always there are some intense surprises which of course I won't spoil and now I'm off to read the next one ;)
This is the 10th (can't believe we are at 10) book in the Blackwood Pack series. This one deals with the mating of Sawyer - a wolf and cousin to the Blackwood Pack, Glenn - a tiger and a secret agent and Alex - a fire fox and fire dragon (only the second by-shifter). They each have their issues and they have to learn how to over come them and accept each other. Love the secondary characters of Ghost, Smokey and Riley, want to know more about them. Can't wait for the next book.
Wow. This one had so much going on emotionally. My heart broke for Sawyer at times and I was crying so hard when Sawyer and Alex first had their issues at the beginning. And throughout the heartbreak that Alex and Sawyer suffered. Now, Glenn took a while to grow on me. His loner status and being so against the Blackwood pack rubbed me wrong. But he finally got his stuff together and is realizing his mates need the Blackwood pack too. I can’t wait to see what the Fates have in store for the Blackwood pack and how they save the paranormal world.
I love these three. Sawyer heads to California because he doesn’t think he is going to find his mate staying at home. He ends up meeting Alex who runs because he is not going to be controlled again. Glenn knows that Sawyer is his mate, but what they didn’t know is that they are meant to be a trouple. I loved watching Alex come into his own. I also liked going back to see the rest of the Blackwood Pack and how they are doing. I can’t wait for the next book as we still have a battle to be win.
Five stars and more. This book was a bit different from the previous series in that the focus seem to be centered around the building up of several separate plots for future stories introducing new characters with enough information to be a teaser leaving one with more questions than answers. Only minimum focus on the romantic characters in this series. I have loved all previous books in this series and recommend Mary Rundle.
Like all of Mary’s books in the series this is a good story, very interesting and entertaining with lots of mysteries, new characters and I love that we always have cameos from previous characters, this is a MMM and Swayer, Alex and Glenn are a great addition, new gifts from the goddess to help to protect their mates and a something more???...I can’t wait to know who is the next one finding his fated mate.
I strongly recommend the Blackwood Pack series. I'm very much a scifi/paranormal geek and this series is written just right. From the first book to the last, its intriguing and grabs your attention. It started out two weeks to read a book...now its 2-3 days. The characters are engaging. I've gotten angry, cried, and felt the love. And I love the story arch that is tying the series together. Can't wait for the next book. Thank you Mary.
Considering that this is book 10 or 11 – I think I’ve lost track – it’s lovely that each volume continues to entertain. The author has a ton of plates spinning, and in each volume she touches down on each one to keep it going without a wobble. I read it in one gulp, and I’m eagerly awaiting the next one!
This was beautiful story for Sawyer who never thought that he any one special like his brothers. Who can't fall in love with Alex he just has the glow of sweetness. The battle is coming and the fate have given these three a special gift. This is highly must read book and series if you love all paranormal books
As always, this was a great book. Everything about this series is off the charts. Characters are fantastic, all emotions are dealt with and the story line is growing and changing, adding room for new enemies and new characters with gifts. Thank you for another great book.
Thank you for the experience of reading your books!!!
Mary Rundle is an author of my heart! Every book in this series captivates you, making you want more and more. Every time I read one of her books, I'm looking for the next. I'm excited and anxious about the next book and if you haven't read them then please do!!!! You will not be disappointed!!!
Out of all the stories of this series this was the best one. Love Sawyer Alex and Glenn. Hoping Alex and Flinn can be a family. There are so many characters that this series could go on forever but we need more action. Too many gifted fated mates and not enough action. Bring back Josiah. Who is the collector? Find Quin a mate. What's up with Queenie?
This read was the second time through the Blackwood Pack. The second time being just as enjoyable as the first. Can t wait to see what happens with the rest of the cousins and how all the powers will be used to fight evil. I can imagine a fight of epic proportions leading to the health and happiness of all paranormals.
Knocked my socks off! Didn't expect the first threesome to be with Sawyer. ( You all know who I thought it would be.) On the edge of my seat for the whole ride! I have spent the last few weeks getting to know the Blackwood Pack and now I am so sad that I have to wait for the next one! Please hurry Mary Rundle! Can't wait to see what happens next!!
I absolutely love the Blackwood Pack!! All the characters are so cool and the story lines are enjoyable. It's so nice to get lost in a book for a few days. If you enjoy shifter books, absolutely dive into this Mary Rundle series!!!
Reallt good and intriguing. Took a bit to read, all the points of view and different things happening. Continuing storyline from others bit focus on new couple/ love
This was is a great addition to the series. The ending set up for the next book. I just hope it won't be too long for the next book to come out. I would call it a light cliff hanger.
I had read every book of the Blackwood pack book 10 I love learning about new people that are coming to the books can’t wait to read the next book in the series just love it. I am also hoping Finn well love his step brother.
Loved that Sawyer found his mates! Glenn was sexy and harass, and Alex was sexy, smart and hilarious! Loved this book. It had a lot going on,but I can't wait to see how it all turns out. Can't wait for the next book!!😍
I’m in awe of the world Mary Rundle has created! How she keeps each and every story line moving forward is incredible! This is the latest in her series and was just as well written as the first book. Definitely recommend
Love this one. Great overall storyline and characters and just captured my attention immediately. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this. I look forward to seeing what happens next.
Even though I've been hurt in the past and lied to, I'm going to keep looking for love. My brothers and cousins have found their fated mates and I hope none is waiting for me.
