To those around her, her life plays like a simple melody. But she hears the whole song, complete with the harsh sounds of discordant notes. Along with everything else she does at the family's lodge, Leah McNamara also finds the time to write music, using it as an outlet for the things she's experiencing in her life. Leah would be perfectly content with her life at the lodge and her music if she wasn't worried about the secrets she's kept hidden from her family that are now threatening to be revealed. If that were to happen, the betrayal her mom and siblings would feel could damage everything.
The realization of his dream had been like a beautiful song, until someone else's actions brings it all to an end.
Gavin Colley is unsettled, set adrift when the popular contemporary Christian music group he'd founded crashes and burns in a fiery scandal. When he hears a song being sung by a woman whose voice resonates with him, he sets off to convince her to write and record a song with him. He hopes it might help to give him the direction he needs to move forward.
As he bides his time, waiting for the right moment to ask her to collaborate with him, Gavin finds himself intrigued by the prickly woman. Being around her is the perfect distraction from the mess his career is in. But there's also something more there that he hadn't expected to find when he'd made his way to New Hope Falls.
When Gavin shows up at the lodge, Leah knows who he is and what's happened. She has long admired his talent as a fellow musician, so she finds herself getting closer to him than she would normally with a guest at the lodge.
But even as they draw closer, Leah knows that anything beyond friendship is impossible. Their lives don't harmonize since Gavin's life is on the other side of the country and he's frequently on tour, while Leah prefers being behind the scenes and helping at her family's lodge. But when love finds its way into their hearts, will they try to bring their lives into harmony? Or will they be left with heartache?
I was super excited about this book landing on my kindle, and I started reading it as soon as I could! And I didn't stop until I was done, bar eight hours sleep ;) As with all her books, Kimberly's characters are so well-developed, the story so well written, and the ending so satisfying. I loved Gavin from the start and was very curious to see how he would soften and bring out Leah's prickly, introverted character. Parts of the story made my heart ache and others had me laughing out loud. I loved the banter between Leah and Gavin and the relationship between the sisters too. I highly recommend this book! You won't be disappointed.
Leah has been deeply hurt at a time in her life that formed a basis for her relationships then and in her future. Dads play a very fundamental role in little girls lives. They are the prince charming keeper of the stars in her eyes and Leah's dad had shattered that feeling for her. Gavin is a man so rooted in his love for the Lord he shares the patience kindness attentiveness compassion the Lord shows in his development of a relationship with Leah. One based on trust, faith, prayer and sincere love and admiration for each other. Their story is the most beautiful so far😍
The main thing I gave this book 5 stars where as the rest of the books in this series a 4 star is because, Leah is a character that has always piqued my interest when she came conversed with someone. Though I can relate to her character I wanted to know how she will fall in love and who will see the true her beyond the facade she created for her.
I was kind of hoping to get her story after Sarah and Beau with the introduction of Rhett because I envisioned Rhett and Leah can be a bit opposites attract kind of situation but seeing Gavin and his interactions with Leah and their love it was definitely worth the wait and I am not sure Rhett would have connected to Leah on this level.

Gavin, the founder of the well know Christian music group, Sanctuary, is devastated when two of the group commit adultery with each other. The scandal tears the group apart. Gavin's manager sends him to New Hope Falls where he meets Leah, a musician and outstanding cook at her family lodge. Kimberly Rae Jordan has written another of her engaging romances with complex characters trying to understand the complicated lives and emotions they have.
I found Leah the most interesting female in this small town so was looking forward to her love story.Gavin is very sweet and I felt sorry for him having to prove his loyalty and respect to her after all he has done no wrong.but I get her broken family background with her dad.I would of like to see gavins brother and mother bonding with her over music would of been fun to see them have musical moments with her.
So Well worth the wait for Iran's story. Gavin is perfect for her. The theme of trusting God and His help to overcome fear really resonated with me. I also love Southern Gospel so that was an added bonus. I hope to carry on seeing perks of Leah and Gavin in future books. My favourite so far!☺
This is a great teaching lesson for us all. Leah spent her life in her past. Letting the past dominate her future. God doesn't want us to keep looking in the rearview mirror, but for us to look through the windshield. Look forward and keep your eyes on God. Gavin comes into Leah's life and helps her to see things differently. This is an eye opener for everyone.
Could hardly out this book down while reading it. Kept you hanging on till to the end to see how things worked out between Leah & Hunter. Brilliant the way the author has worked it all out but showing we must keep God at the centre of our lives & let Him lead us.
I have fell in love with all of the New Hope Falls characters Kimberly Ray portrays so intimately and vividly. I only hate when their stories come to an end but am grateful to get bits and pieces of their lives from time to time throughout the series.
I love Christian contemporary music , too. She has been caught up in her father's lies since a child. So many secrets, so much distrust. Generation sins have to be broken purposefully or they will continue to fester from generation to generation. Highly recommended for all readers.
Wonderful story. The Harmony of Love is a perfect duet between Gavin and Leah, both musicians. Gavin is on a much-needed break due to a scandal that affected his band Sanctuary. Leah is private and keeps people at arm's length due to hurt caused by her father's abandonment. Their story is about healing, fears, uncertainties, communication, and trusting God.
I thoroughly enjoy Leah. I totally 'get' her. Really enjoyed the twins' relationship. Good message about not letting fear rule our lives. To trust God enough to live free of fear and enjoy life! As usual, a really good read.
I loved this book! Jordan came up with just the right guy for Leah! Good insights on trust, vulnerability, dealing with hurts, hiding emotions. I recommend reading the series in order so that you truly appreciate the kind of guy Leah needs.
This is a wonderful story of despair, hope, and love! The characters are so wonderfully created. This story shows how years of anger and bitterness can keep a person from a life full of hope and love. It also shows how a person can let go of the fear and have a full life. It allows trust and love to fill a life. Leah and Gavin face much in this story, but their faithfulness to God allows them to overcome their pasts and recent lives. Another wonderful story full of inspiration and overcoming fear. I couldn’t put it down!!
This is a fantastic story for Leah. It truly shows how her life of being hurt has caused her to keep people at arms length. Will she be able to find a way through the pain to let live in? Great series!
Like how the story dealt with revealing how fear can co from and stifle and cripple you. Also, how it can happen without you bending aware. Loved the development of the relationship between Leah and Gavin and how God's lovd freed her from her fears.
I have read this series and have enjoyed each book, Leah’s long awaited sorry does not disappoint. And Gavin.. (swoon)! I want to move to New Hope! Love this series!
Kimberly Rae Jordan writes amazing series. This one involves a family and a town...New Hope. I have waited a long time for Leah's story. I loved the storyline, touching base with old friends and meeting new ones.
This book, like all Kimberly's book, was a joy to read! It was so good to finally see the happy ending for Leah. I've read all of the books in the series and each is a delight and a ray of goog clean Christian romances but so much more!
I like the way that all the loose ends were tied together
Given Leah's personality, I found it difficult to believe that she could find somebody or that she would open up to that person. Their dad was a cad--highly immature and unrealistic.
Truly amazing and inspirational story about how God can bring two people together when they think life will pull them apart. Thank you so much, each book gets better
I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were great, and I loved that it had so much talk about music. I know that worthy music invites the Holy Spirit.
I love the McNamara family. I am anxious to find out what happened to Eli’s ex girlfriend! I also like for Nadine to meet the man of her dreams since her ex was a nightmare!
Leah is the sister that needs someone special but doesn't know it. Gavin is wanting to get away from scandal. Are they right for each other? Can they make it work?
