ok i literally read this because i’m also in love with my ex but let’s actually get down to it

i really dislike the male lead right now because he’s not assertive with his boundaries and maybe i’m not open minded but i didn’t like that he had to get his realizations from the second female romantic interest like ??? i get that you have no close friends but it’s just so weird to me that they are close friends, but he’s also allowing the flirting/crossing boundaries
idc if you’re nonchalant/don’t care for those actions, the fact that you’re allowing it so so icky

the actual female lead, she has a little quirks and here and there about the romance part but i like that she’s doing her best to improve herself and show what she’s capable of by trying new things and experiences. and it’s FOR HERSELF! not anyone, i really respect that.

for the romance, not much progress but maybe there will be progress in the next volume because of the male lead’s recent realizations and that he’s willing to try
omg guys it’s literally all on him because the girl is ready and down for it but he’s literallyyyyyyyy not making things move until now

I think this may be the first volume I actually give a five star review to period the story focuses on the cultural Festival which for some light novel readers such as myself appears to be in almost every light novel related to the high school period. There is still some focus on side characters but in this volume it turns around and goes back to the main two characters Yume and Mizuto. In a sense this volume focuses on Mizuto coming to terms with this feelings and understanding what went wrong in the past and what he could have done to fix it. Character development continues to exceed my expectations for this series and the monogatari reference was a nice side peace. Please feel free to read my notes and highlights from this volume.

長い息を吐いて、すごく良かった。

まずはサブタイトルの「あのとき言えなかった六つのこと」とこの巻の構成である六つの話を気づいた時は心が躍る。

作中に長い間自分の心に抱く悔い、自己嫌悪、名状しがたい水斗の気持ちに息が詰まっています。
それらを文化祭という非日常を通して、彼はやっと自分の過去と向き合う。

やはり、ケジメが付けなくてはヒロインレースが公平じゃないよね。

六つの言、それは二人に伝えたか？
