This book is a page turner and an easy read. It sucks you in and keeps you wanting more. I can't wait to read more! I love the characters.

I never go wrong when I read something written by J.A. Roles. Her stories always grab me and suck me in. They are so easy to read and filled with so much emotion. I just love getting swept away in the worlds she creates. This is such a fast paced book; there is a lot of action. If you love the supernatural, vampires, werewolves, etc. you are going to love this book. It is definitely worth the read.
I received this book as an ARC and I am leaving an honest review. And even though I received a free ARC I also purchased a copy of the book as well. That should tell you something about how much I loved this book.

A young woman, Sapphire, bumps into a stranger, Michael, in a coffee shop and finds her world is changed forever. Sapphire and Michael meet and are immediately drawn together by a force neither of them can explain. The two started dating and life seems on the upswing until Michael suddenly disappears only to reappear weeks later looking battered. Michael explains that he was on a mission to find his lost twin brother. From there, Sapphire learns there is a whole world of vampires, werewolves, witches, and other evil entities that are warring and she is an important part of it.
JA Roles did a great job of writing the complex story. The plot development was well thought out and presented in a highly entertaining and graphic way. Romance is a factor in the story, as expected. Some of the scenes were brutally described, so beware of vicious encounters. If you like supernatural vampire/werewolf books, this one is sure to please. ( I received a free ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.)

Sapphire meets Michael at the coffee shop. They start to date for a few weeks when he disappears. When he returns, he tells her he is a vampire, and he is trying to find his twin. Who is also a vampire but has been possessed by an evil spirit, Calix. This is when the adventure begins. Sapphire finds out that the world and her life isn’t what she thought it was.
This is a fascinating supernatural world. Filled with lots of action. If you love supernatural worlds. This is the book for you. Spoiler it does end in a cliffhanger.

New to me author. The storyline takes you on a new adventure in paranormal experiences between vampires and wolves. I love it!
The main characters are wonderful and you become more entrenched in their lives as the story evolves. As they evolve. I love watching characters evolve through stories.
The storyline keeps you on your toes from chapter to chapter waiting to see what comes next for the main characters and the adventure they’re on.

Oh my goodness. This author is incredible! This book kept my attention the whole time! Seriously a page turner and not one that you want to put down. She has an eloquent way with words and makes it easy to read. Can’t wait for many more to follow! If you love fantasy, romance, and a little bit of danger and adventure, this book is for you! You will want to finish it all at once!

I loved this book , the characters and the surprises that Michael and sapphire ran across. This book has it all from vamps ,witches , shifters. Plus a bit of betrayal toward the end and a death I didn’t even expect, what more can you ask for. I definitely recommend this book! You won’t be disappointed!

Wow! What an amazing world J.A. Roles has created! Vampires, Werewolves, and Witches! I was pulled into this story immediately and it was a definite page turner!
The ending was a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

I loved this story! It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Micheal and Sapphire’s love is so strong. The writing is amazing and not at all predictable. I highly recommend this book!!

Oke so first things first this cover is stunning i love the purple background and what i assume would be the 2 main characters.
Its a simple yet draws you in like a siren's song!
Wow holy pancakes what an amazing book.
At the start of the book i had some trouble getting into the story i found myself distracted very easy but it got better so so much better i devoured the book in 2 sittings.
This book really does have it all and i mean everything from vampire to a hybrid, from sweet & innocent to mean and pure evil.
The training the fighting everything flows like a river and as the story goes on it builds and builds and it doesnt disapoint.
The story is well thought out and beautifully written. All the answers you get are answered as the books goes on.
The characters and world building are beyond amazing
The more intense moments had me on edge.
This book is a beauty it made me feel so so much from giggles to actual tears, at times it made me laugh so bad.
The romance between the main characters was tastefull and sweet.
Its just one of those books that sticks with you thats how good this book is.

J. A. Roles will plunge you into the supernatural world in a magical way. In this story, J.A. Roles has done it again. She has masterfully created likable, believable characters. The story will draw you in. Even newbies like myself, new to the supernatural or mythology fantasy will not have trouble following along. This story will captivate from the first sentence on, and you will not be able to put it down. What a page-turner. I can’t wait to read its sequel. It is sure to entertain you, mystify you, and make you want more.

J. A. Roles story, The Awakening is a good take on the paranormal (Vampires, werewolves, witches, etc.) I’d give it a 4.5 if that was an option.
The story follows Micheal Archer and Sapphire Stone on their journey between their world and ours.
The characters are well crafted with a uniqueness, nor run of the mill characters.
This is a worthy beginning to the series.
I’ve never read a romance story before and Ms. Roles does a good job of writing balancing the romance with the story, weaving back and forth between. I’ll be looking forward to continuing the series.

I haven't read a young adult series in a while as i prefer NA books. However this was a nice change and I'm glad I read this. The storyline is great, the characters were good.
Everything did happen very quickly though and I didn't like how quickly Sapphire forgave Michael.
But overall a great read.

This is the first book in the series and I could not believe how easily I was sucked into the story. I it and cannot wait to read more by this author. This is definitely a must read series and it is magical. Definitely a must read!

Wow it's like magic! J.A. Roles sucks you in right from the start! I couldn't put this down. The story is sweet, yet adventurous, bringing in vampires, witches and werewolves to name a few. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This book has vampires, witches and vampires. They all come together to fight a common enemy. Along the way love is found and friendships are made. I really enjoyed this book
