Re-read 2021: The third volume and OH BOY things are getting hairy and scary. Hazuki is kidnapped and we see battles and learn more about vampires, about Hazuki's past, about someone else, Elfriede. I love how the author is able to blend both information and action in one mix that makes you want to keep reading. Each page is exciting. I feel for Elfriede for the things she is knowing and feeling now after drinking Kouhei's blood. I loved that Kouhei's grandpa is such a kick-ass old man. I mean, I knew he had powers (one it was obvious and two I read this series earlier) but dang the old man could hold his own against an ancient vampire. Awesome.
I felt for Hazuki so many times in this one. Poor thing. While I still don't like her tantrums, I do like seeing her character get build more. See that she is more than just a spoiled/tantrum filled brat.
The ending part, HOLY!
All in all, this was great! Next year for Halloween I will be reading a few more volumes.
