Jake rescues Cathy from an abusive situation right before he is sent to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. Now 15 years later, when they see each other again sparks fly. Can Jake keep her safe from the MC who want her back? Fast-paced read with steamy chemistry, loads of drama and suspense as well as great characters. An entertaining read. I really liked it.

Jake is a prospect for the MC club run by his father. When a man associated with an enemy club does them wrong, Jake volunteers to go take care of the man. As he is sneaking up to the mansion the man lives in, he sees movement in a garden shed. When he picks the lock, he finds Cathy inside. She is wearing just a thin dress in the cold and she has been beaten and starved. He promises to rescue her and gives her his cut to wear and some candy. He tells her to wait for him and he will take care of her. Jake then goes to finish his mission but finds out he is too late. Cathy's father was killed by her mother and Jake was set up. One of his clubs prospects was actually part of the rival club. Jake is sent away to prison for life.

Cathy spent her life being abused first by her parents and then by her foster parents. The trauma has left her unable to speak out loud. Her foster parents were part of the MC club her dad worked with and they force her to work in the MC bar. They take all her earnings and are now arranging for her to marry the president of the MC. She finds that the president is abusive and he disgusts her. Cathy keeps thinking of the man who saved her in the shed and wishes she could see him again. He was the only bright spot in her life until the day the president get arrested and sent to jail.

Jake has been stuck in jail for 15 years. He often thinks of Cathy and his past life. He feels that he has let everyone down. He had promised to protect Cathy but he was taken away. Then one day he has a new cellmate. It is the president of the rival club and the man who set him up. Jake is wanting to kill him until he is offered a deal. If Jake will help him pick locks to escape, he will take Jake with him. He promises to leave Jake's old MC alone and he will give him Cathy. Jake can't resist the offer of Cathy and agrees. They escape and when he thinks he will walk away with Cathy, he is betrayed. He fights his way out with Cathy and go on the run. Jake just has to protect Cathy but he has no chance without his MC.

This newest book from Ms. March is another motorcycle club tale, with a difference. This time the male protagonist (Jake) is a much darker character with a history of violence and a conviction for first degree murder. The female lead is a young lady, half his age, who is the daughter of the man & woman he was convicted of killing. However, he had shown Cathy an act of kindness on the night of the murders and she never forgot him. When Jake is offered a chance to participate in a prison escape he heads straight back to his old stomping grounds to find Cathy. They embark on a rather unusual relationship, not the norm for this author. The story has great action, suspense, intrigue and some violence. As always Mr. March delivers a sweet HEA. The sex is much more vanilla than usual for her books and the DDLG kink is totally absent. While the story is very good, I really miss the delicious sexual content & kink. 4 Stars.

This was a really good story. It definitely didn't start out the same as in other MC stories. It starts out with Cathy and Jake meeting for the first time when Cathy was about seven and he was fifteen. He went to kill her parents, but ends up watching them kill each other and then getting sent to jail for it. Fifteen years later, they meet again and he ends up helping her out again. She has been in the clutches of a bad MC and Jake wants to get even with their president. The character development was amazing and the chemistry between the characters was great. Both of the characters have been through some really rough patches in their lives and it's great to see them wanting to overcome their scars and wounds together. This is a definite read for those that like some sexy bikers, but don't want too much dark violence and other very dark themes.

This book grabbed me and would NOT LET ME GO! I was hooked from the first chapter! I did not put this book down until I read the very last word! It starts with a scene that is nightmarish and ends on a note that has me wishing for these characters and flailing around struggling to breathe a full breath. My heart pounded through out this story. It had my hackles on edge and left me feeling very anxious but I did not struggle thorough it! NOPE it is written so well that the flow will suck you in and you will not want to leave this world! Miss March writes characters that will leave you bubbling with glee and bring you to your knees. She is incredibly astute in writing a story that is engaging and believable! Another great addition to her repertoire and I want to know more about the Outsiders MC!

This was one exciting book to read. From go to Wo you constantly get action ,drama, suspence and to the end a final great HEA.
And the characters themselves, well im sure that you are going to like them like i did.
In the prologue we see Cathy been saved by Jake when hes a young man, unfortunately gets caught for murder and is taken for jail..
Fifteen years later Cathy is working behind the bar for the MC gang Throat Rippers. The president has said hes marrying her regardless. Hower that same president gets put into jail with Jake. A plan is fomed to escape. But when Cathy sees Jake again she knows he is for her.
What follows next is an action packed and a suspence story that you will absolutely love.

Cathy’s never forgotten how Jake saved her when she was a kid & when he breaks out of prison, he saves her again from the brutal biker holding her hostage. Jake will do whatever it takes to keep Cathy safe, even if that means pushing her away. Jake’s not the only one who’s grown and Cathy is determined to show Jake she’s not a scared kid anymore as she fights by his side. With the rival MC looking to take Cathy back and take over his town, Cathy helps Jake come up with a plan. But when the bullets are done flying, can Cathy convince Jake to give their love a chance?

He was put in jail for a crime he didn't commit. Cathy was a little girl whom he released from a shed before going into her house to witness a scene that he would be blamed for. Now it is fifteen years later, and the President of the Throat Rippers is in jail with an offer to help him bust out. His promises include the girl he released from the shed, but will Bruce hold true to his word and will Jake be able to keep Cathy safe from all the trouble coming their way. This story is filled with nonstop drama that draws you in and keeps you glued to the story.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book is a MC and bad boy romance. Cathy and Jake have rough pasts and present. They met when she was young and he saved her from a bad situation. This leads to him being in prison and her surviving for years. When he escaped she had disappeared but fate brings them back together. These two have a story full of danger, suspense, drama, heartbreak, lust and love. I enjoyed the characters and their story.

I don’t believe I have read anything by this author, but now I am looking forward to this new series. I am a total MC junkie. Poor Jake is all over the place trying to figure out what to do with the help of his former MC while staying alive and out of prison. Cathy has never had a good day in her entire life and Jake intends to change that. He is so sweet to her. He just keeps making the wrong choices about Bruce. The “birthday gift” for Cathy is pretty funny. Good read.

Cathy never thought she'd ever see the man who saved from her abusive parent's again. He's in prison Her life hasn't really improved even though he promised long ago to keep her safe. Now a rival MC Prez wants her and the thought of being his woman strangles her thoughts. Then he's back. Saving the once silent girl again while regaining his club will keep him busy, but not too busy to notice the beautiful woman she's become.

Talk about action from the start till the finish!! I couldn’t put my book down from the moment I started to read this story. I loved how Jake rescued Cathy. A poor abused child whom she felt she could trust and then for him to be sentenced to life in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. You will love these two characters and be fighting for them to beat the villains in the story. Finally the true story comes out and Jake is exonerated and set free so he can live a HEA with Cathy as his old lady.

Jake first finds Cathy beaten up and locked in a shed. He promised her that he would take care of her but ended up going to jail for 15 years for a crime he didn't do. Then when he escaped he begins to search for Cathy. He finds her with a cruel biker club working behind the bar. When Cathy sees Jake again she's ready for him. She knows that he is for her. There is action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twists and turns. Great characters and fantastic chemistry. Loved the story. At 15 Jake was sent to do some work for his MC when he came upon a 7 year old Cathy locked in a shed by her parents. He rescues her and tells her he will always protect her. However, he gets arrested and sent to prison and could not jeepnthat promise. When he gets out he finds her again and they take off pursued by a gang. Will they survive? This is an action packed story by a new to me author. After reading this story I will be looking for more books by her. She will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. Cathy battered and bruised locked in a shed by her parents is rescued by Jake. Jake an MC member promised Cathy to keep her safe, then he lands in prison. Jake escaped from prison with an MC rival under the pretences he wouldleave him alone. Jake finds Cathy she has hardened up, the chemistry between Jake and Cathy is intense.

Wow! This book was intense. Almost like a second chance romance but with a twist. Cathy and Jake meet years ago in an unfortunate incident that changed both their lives. When they meet again 15 years, the protective feelings Jake had are still there, only this time, Cathy is all grown up. So much drama, excitement, suspense and at the heart of it, a beautiful love story.

Jake is supposed to be going after a man from a rival MC. He picks a lock on the shed and discovers Cathy. He also realizes that he was setup and goes to prison. He promised Cathy that he would protect her. Fast forward a few years. Cathy has been through a lot. She never forgot Jake. She needs his help again. Jake will stop at nothing to protect Cathy.

This is a fairly well written book that has lots of drama, lots of action, abuse and violence. The story also has a protective man who take care of a broken and abused woman. Both Cathy and Jake have been done wrong many times, but they are still capable of love. Very good world building and realistic characters and plots.

a 15 yr old connection

Jake and Cathy met 15 yrs ago when he was accused of murdering her parents.
Both of them knew he did not do it but forensics were not as good as they are now.
Jake was supposed to do it as a prospect for the Outlaws.
Jake meets Cathy again after the MC club he is with and the Prez of Throat Rippers (who was once a Outlaw but turned).
Long story short.....great read and great characters.
Holds your attention...Enjoy.

This is the first book from Daisy March I've read and it's a fantastic book to get started with. The characters are all believable, both the good and the bad, and the plot is something you could find in the daily news! That type of storytelling makes a book worth reading!

WOW!! A captivating read and is definitely not for the faint of heart! It is well written, dark, edgy, raw, and gritty with drama, suspense, danger, twists and turns, and so much more. The characters are strong and their chemistry is off the charts. Definitely recommended!

Enjoyed this read

I liked both Jake and Cathy, from the moment they first met until the end. I would have preferred the action to be a little grittier, but that's just a personal preference. There were a bunch of typos, so I would recommend hitting up the editing team again, but it didn't distract me from the story.

Promises are meant to be kept and that is exactly what Jack intends to do in keeping his to Cathy, the little girl he found beaten left in a shed all those years ago, he promised to keep her safe and failed before but this is a second chance he wont fail again for without Cathy he has nothing left to lose but has everything to gain. Can Jake and Cathy outrun their pasts for a chance at a future? this is a well written steamy insta loving romance. with action, suspense , desire and more!
