An unforgettable night of romance awaits in this funny, charming novella by USA Today best-selling author Nina Bocci!
The annual Valentine’s Day singles soiree is always a big money-maker for Eloisa Giordono’s winery. What could be more romantic than looking for love at a quaint family vineyard on the most romantic night of year? Well, just about anything as far as Eloisa is concerned. She’s a Valentine’s Day Grinch who thinks it’s the lamest, most clichéd holiday ever invented.
Fortunately, she’ll get to hang out with like-minded folks this year by hosting an Anti-Valentine’s Day party on the same night. She’ll just need to alternate between events to keep them both running and she’ll be raking in the profits. But Eloisa is thrown for a loop when a sexy, self-described hopeless romantic shows up at the singles soiree and keeps her captivated. Will he change her mind about the holiday...and about love?
Nina Bocci is a novelist, publicist, eternal optimist, unabashed lipgloss enthusiast, constant apologist, and a hopeless romanticist. She has too many college degrees that she’s not using, and a Lego addiction that she blames on her son.
What a cute and funny novella! It was short and sweet and had me smiling the whole time. I loved that the story was light and drama free. The meet cute is wonderful and I thought the "get to know you" games/questions were perfect. I really enjoyed the narration by Amanda Ronconi. She had fantastic comedic timing and voiced each character well. I had no problems differentiating between characters. Great Valentine's novella! I only wish this one was longer!
Story: 4 stars Performance: 5 stars Overall: 4 stars This was exactly the story I was in mood for, a light romance with no miscommunication. I really liked the characters and enjoyed listening to the audiobook. However, I wish I had a bit more time with the characters, but oh well it's a novella that's what it does, always leave you wanting more.
Eloisa has a strong aversion to Valentine's day and anything to do with love. However, she does own a winery and seeing as Valentines Day is a big money maker for them she reluctantly agrees to go ahead once again with their annual soiree.
This year will be different though, in addition to the soiree will be an anti-valentine evening, on the same night. There are plenty of people who dislike Valentines Day so why not spend the night with like minded people.
It turns out that the actual Valentine's Day event is way more fun and she actually meets someone who she likes. Go figure ?!
This was my Easter Sunday audio read, I listened to this drinking vodka, sitting outside in the sun, pretending I was on holiday on a Pacific Island :)
A quick sweet audio. It was fun. I liked the characters and the premise. It was slightly more depthful than I expected. At least with Eloise's backstory emerging. It was sweet and precious. I enjoyed it.
It's official I found my dumbest read of 2025 and it's only January. I'll try and make this review short because I really don't want to devote anymore of my brain power to this book.
It's poorly written, poorly plotted, and predictable. It only gets two stars for some funny dialogue here and there and the idea of a book being set in the vineyard was quite romantic. There was also a strong sense of place.
Overall, I would not recommend this and there are better Audible originals out there.
A quick easy read, perfect for Valentine’s Day. I loved the narrator!! A wheelchair dog stop 😭😭 I also love the anti-valentines day cliche, it’s always so fun. This book definitely gives the movie “Valentine’s Day” vibes.
A Vineyard Valentine, as the title hints, is a quick and romantic novella that takes place during Valentine's Day. Vineyard owner, Eloisa, is hosting a Valentine's Day soiree at her family's vineyard except that she hates all things Valentine's Day. This year, to spice things up, she hosts an Anti-Valentine's Day event so she can hang out with follow V-Day grinches. She just needs to run between the two events to make sure that everything is going smoothly. Very much to her surprise, she meets a handsome gentleman with who she immediately has a connection. I enjoyed listening to this very quick novella. It had a magical feel to it with the way the author described the setting. The couple had good banter and I thought the narrator made their chemistry shine through. I especially liked the conversations and games they have pushing them to interact. Don't expect a ton of romantic or character development here as the novella is only about 2 hours long. It's really just all about this one night. It was cute and it entertained me while I was cooking, so it was a good listen in my book. :)
A cute short story about love in the most unexpected places. I loved her dog and that was a great addition to the story. Who wouldn't love to find love on Valentine's day! I liked the game they played where they had to find a match with five questions. I give this 4 stars.
I've enjoyed listening to the story of Eloisa and her being an anti-valentine grinch. But since it is a short story, I just get to know what happened, and I got to know the characters very little, but they were likable atleast.
Story 4 stars. Narration by Amanda Ronconi 5 stars Cute novella that was an extremely fast listen and I believe the first for me by this author. It takes place at the main character’s vineyard where she is hosting two Valentine’s events. She meets a man and the rest was a charming story of falling for someone on Valentine’s Day. I enjoyed it.
Light, fluffy Valentine’s Day novella. I didn’t know what to expect going in but I just wanted more...more chemistry, more romance. I mean it’s a Valentine’s Day novella but focuses more on the events the vineyard is putting on and all the details involved instead of the actual romance, and it ends with just a kiss. BUTTTT if you aren’t looking for steamy times and are just looking for a very light & quick listen (the audio is less than 2 hrs) then this might be for you. Oh and I listened to this via audible and had a hard time with the narrator.
