1.5 stars. Hero is a manwhore and heroine just rolls over and accepts him as her mate.
Even though I knew I would not like it I had to read it as part of the box set.
I absolutely loath manwhores as heroes. Taylor is an absolute unlikable a** and Krissy is a spineless wimp.
It was clearly alluded to in book one that Taylor, the youngest brother earned his nickname PLAY BEAR or manwhore. I don’t normally touch that type of story but as this is a box set with two books to go, I read it to gather any background information.
It was as bad as I thought it would be. Taylor’s bear had been telling him for YEARS that Krissy is his mate. Even Krissy told him they were mates. But he just keeps f***ing everything he can as he doesn’t want to be tied down. Until the moment he sees Krissy with another man.
Even though he is on a date, he attacks the man with Krissy. We never hear anymore from that particular female viper either and she doesn’t seem the type to let him go.
Taylor gives lip service to feeling guilty for his past and wishing he had listened to his bear and stopped whoring around.
The moment Taylor chases her down, Krissy of course just opens her legs and accepts him as her mate. Buh Humbug.
Did enjoy the arrival of Nate.

Only okay on this one as thought Taylor being just a player wasn’t believable when he suddenly does a complete 180 on Krissy. Since they had kissed and she revealed her belief they were mates he just walked away. That goes against every fated mate concept. Not only that but he still slept around. Only realising she was his mate when he saw her with someone else. The fact she just let it go after years of seeing him with heaps of other women. Felt she should haven’t caved so easily and he didn’t even really apologise for her having to endure that for all those years. He never even stated the typical they meant nothing to me. Not my favourite.

This is such a sweet, romantic and heartwarming kind of story. I really enjoyed reading it and loved all the characters, especially Taylor and Krissy. They are both perfect for each other and their story is quite passionate. I think it is a must read for all paranormal romance lovers. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Every time I read a book by of Ms. Gorri, I think this is the best book by her...but I am learning that the next one is even better! She has the style of writing I love, always has great world building, and always a HEA. Taylor Devlin works his way through women, while Krissy Sposa loves him from afar, while her bear whispers MATE to her. The author graciously gifted me an ARC and I am leaving an honest review.

Cannot stand mate books where the mate is there and has been met and the male is fuckinnnn his way through every woman he sees. But not his mate. It’s disgusting. Once a shifter smells his mate his bone shouldn’t get up for anybody else. I’ve read hundreds and ones like this disgust me and crap all over what is special about mate romances. Loyal my asssssets. More like playboy manwhore might as well be a human scum. Cause that’s what he is since obviously his bear is dead
I mean he’s screwing women left and right and turned her down. His bear knows which means he shouldn’t have even been interested in another woman but he screws one the night before blowing up seeing her taking to another man. I absolutely love this book and the completely obtuse Taylor. He has been ignoring his bear since the holiday party and wonder's why his bear goes nuts when "Dimples" is kissing another bear. She has known he was her mate since she was 13, but at the last holiday party he denied he would ever be "her" mate. She finally has enough and tries to get him out of her mind with a kiss from a hot stranger. Now Taylor is interfering because he is a protective brother, or is it something else. She cannot trust that he would ever want her, he can and has had almost all the other women in their town. Can she gain her HEA and will it be with Taylor. Read this absolutely wonderful tale that has an interesting surprise for all the brothers of Bear Claw Bakery

This she-bear is a saint
I’m not sure how the author managed it, but she once again took us into her bear clan and gave us a story that will surely be a re-read. The way she builds each character and their emotions until you feel like you are living them is phenomenal. I really enjoyed this book and was so happy when Krissy got her HEA. I probably would have made Taylor suffer a little longer, but she was so in love with him I don’t think she could have. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Still Saying
I’m still saying that this is a very good book even though it doesn’t have a good vs bad plot. The story itself was just that good.
Taylor, the youngest & a player to boot has been running away from the truth of who his fated mate is for years. That is all about to change when another bear not of their clan comes to town.
Krissy aka Dimples has worked for the Bear Claw Bakery since she was 13. Because her family needed the money as her mom was sick again with cancer. On the day that she asked for work there was also the day she literally ran into her fated mate, Taylor.
Now it’s your turn to read the winding road of them finally getting mated to 1 another.

Wow a Fantastic read. This story grabs you right from the start. Krissy is a Bear Shifter and a part of the clan Taylor is one of the brothers who helps take care of the shop. They both are aware of each other. But as they grow Krissy loves him from a far. And then one day he realizes that he has feelings for her. But does she still care for him. The Author does a fantastic job at bringing this story to fruition. This Author has written a fast paced read that has you on the edge of your seat. Cheering on the characters. This is a Fantastic read.

Loved it! The mix of sweet and heat the author is capable of is astonishing. All at the perfect length a story needs to be. Krissy has known Taylor was her mate for a long time. The problem is, he's a bit oblivious. What will rattle a bit of sense in that head of his...…another bear. I really don't want to give much away. A surprisingly heartwarming tale of the redemption of a player. One brother left. This is a series that could easily be in the re-read pile for years to come. It’s my least favorite trope, boy denies girl, boy sleeps around while girl pines, girl does a make over and goes on a date and boy suddenly realizes what he’s missing and „mine“.
Thing is why do these man whores never have to work for the trust they tossed aside? In a good 80% of romance books with this story line it’s “oh ok now you love me so I’ll just trust you completely and all is forgotten.”
I was really hoping the h in this one would show a little self worth, but nope it took very little for the player bear to get her forgiveness.

This book is one of those hidden gems in my opinion. I was expecting a book where they see each other and hit it off right away. With a great deal of hot steamy sexy times. That the hero was into having control. Well, he is but not the way I thought. What I got was something more. They have great chemistry and attraction. I also got heavy drama, I would recommend this to anyone!

Krissy has loved Taylor Devlin forever but the play bear thinks of her as a little sister even as her inner bear is telling her he's her mate. When a lone bear shows up in their area and shows Krissy some attention Taylor must face his inner bear is she his mate or just his sister? Feel good story
Taylor liked being a play bear so he never let himself see Krissy as anything but a friend. Krissy has always loved Taylor but maybe she should move on with her life. The story is a friends to lovers that makes you feel good at the end. I like watching Kissy and Taylor both grow in their transition from friends.

My Opinion
I liked this story too. It's your basic story about a player who has his dream girl in his face and doesn't realise it until someone else shows interest. What I liked about this story is that she makes him work for her. Once he realized the mistakes he's made he has to change his ways. I recommend this story.

Krissy had been taking care of her family at a young age when she ran into her mate, Taylor. Her bear acknowledged it, but being a playbear, Taylor did not want to see it. It's a great story and scene when he finally sees her flirting with another bear. You don't want to miss this story.

This was a cute quick read about bear shifters. Kristy & Taylor were fated mates but it just took Taylor a bit to figure that out. Kristy loved him from their childhood. She was a strong female and knew what she wanted, it just took her a bit to get him.

Omg this story is fabulous. Fancy a bear being scared to take his mate. Silly man. This story will warm your heart and also make you want to say, come on kiss her already. A book not to be missed.
