Succubus Undone

Adie is a favorite character of mine. She has caught the attention of higher up demons, which is not in her best interest. Yet she rises to the challenges and protect those she loves. This series is such a great read!

Constant double standards. And a billion typos, the word REIN is always the one the author wants but never uses.

I’m getting really sick of the double standards when it comes to owing. She owes them constantly, but never follows through when they should owe her. Spoiler

They brought over Julian, against her will, and when he was killed BECAUSE THEY CALLED HIM!!!, they weren’t responsible? Get stuffed. This is constant and incredibly irritating, also inconsistent with the world. I plan to give 1 star for every book with this error in future as it is really poor writing and world building

Hard to handle, but still excellent

I found this one to be the darkest and emotionally hardest to handle so far in this series. I still loved it, but if just felt like Adie was being kicked repeatedly while she was down, with not many positive things in her life to balance it... I hope the next book sees more happiness for poor Adie!

A part of me was getting frustrated with Kellen, Tobias, and Emil because it seemed like they never went easy on Adie or let her be vulnerable. But what I realized in this book is that they let her have her low moments but they don’t let her wallow in it or let these moments make her weak. They know she’s not weak, she’s actually very strong in multiple ways but she doesn’t always see it herself. And while bad things have happened to her, they know that they can all get through it by working together. But they really do need to stop keeping important things from her. That whole Cousin Cassandra blindsiding was not cool and keeping that from her made no sense. Not even the “we don’t want you to see us as weak” excuse was adequate.

Victor Hesse actually turned out to be a decent villain. His reasoning made sense considering his backstory and I’m glad the author never went with the cop-out explanation of “he was mad/crazy”. No because villains’ actions and plans need to make sense otherwise they’re not much of an antagonist are they? But his plans of forcing something on Adie to achieve his goals and then ensuring that any of the actions she could take to get herself out of her situation were thwarted was really excellent. Villains who have nefarious plans should always have backups built in to accomplish their goals otherwise they seem cartoon-y.

I love that the cubi community are starting to see what Landon was boasting about with Adie and that it’s bringing them together.

I also love that all the nice, softhearted things that Adie has done always come back to help her when she needs it. Like saving Torch made the slag demons in the demon realm help her when she was about to be attacked by a bunch of other demons.

Another thing I appreciate is how Tally’s four witches all care about Adie and get sad when she gets hurt. And in this book she helps them earn their freedom from Kellen, which I think will solidify the loyalty they’ve shown to her.

One side thing I thought was cute was when Tobias and Adie had their essences trapped in a bottle for a few hours and the way they played with each other and understood the depths of each others’ feelings. Their relationship now is much deeper than before and seeing the change in Tobias was adorable.

Can’t believe there are only two books left to read in this series!

Oh and I almost forgot: we finally learn the name of the city that all the characters live in! It’s called Clearhelm and we don’t learn it until a random throwaway line close to the end of the book.

I don't really know why I didn't read this book sooner. I loved the previous six books. I love the characters in this series. I love the mythology, the possibilities and the never knowing what will be waiting for our characters in the next book. And there have been quite a few times when I wanted to pick this book up. And just as often I eventually didn't do so. Until today. The plan was to read only half of the book. In the end I couldn't stop and finished the book in one sitting.

Once more this book was one big and huge adventure! And what I love most is that it's impossible to see where the different installments end and start. It feels like it's one big ongoing story and once the action and danger shows up it's not leaving anymore. I'm starting to feel a little sorry for the characters by now. They've already been through so much and the author keeps on throwing danger and pain and suffering their way!

However, what I love about this series is that it does contain a lot of pain and suffering, but it also contains a lot of humor, silly situations and wonderful friendships and side characters. Although a lot of characters are only side characters it always feels like they have their own story to tell. I think that if the author would want to, she would be able to write at least one complete book for every character we're introduced to. And it makes all her characters amazing.

Just like I love how she keeps on growing her world. I can imagine that for some people the new additions to the magic system and the new rules for the dreaming can be a little confusing, but I love how our baby succubus, because that's what she still is, is clearly still growing and learning. I love how those characters have to do research, don't even act like they already know everything and can still be surprised.

I can't wait to read the last two books in the series! (And then the spin-offs and the rest of the backlist!)

The (un)Lucky Succubus books have been KILLING IT lately. This is the second one in a row to get a 5/5 starts from me, and I do not give those easily. Our favorite baby succubus has been put through the wringer lately, and this latest installment is no different. But as things continue to go downhill for Adie, her relationships with the demons of destruction reach new heights. There are so many amazing exchanges and scenes in this book, especially between Adie and Tobias, that make it one of the best. Additionally, Adie comes into her own power, her own determination, and her own success. The success might not look like she thought it would, but she has indeed fulfilled Landon’s prediction that she would “become the best of them.” Our girl’s story in this book is both heartbreaking and empowering, and I ate it up. I can’t wait for more.

OMG couldn't put it down!!!

So thank god Frost's World is pure fantasy because of it weren't and I happened to have been a succubus In know I would had withered away from lack of anything except her books.

I reread ALL of her books and couldn't put them down.

Amazing!

I just really love this series. Even after so many books I still get sucked into the story. I love how the characters interact with each other and how the relationships develop. So good and so entertaining. Definitely one of my top three favorite reverse harem series. A must read!

I am undone!

LL has us on the edge of our seats as we try to figure out how this story rolls out.  Expect the unexpected!  So many new twists and turns that run the emotional gambit!  I am completely undone!  With so many unresolved questions and issues, I can't wait for the next book.  I love this series!

The talent this author has in creating a unique adventure in every book but still relating all the books together. I didn’t love what was happening in this book (the main character struggled the most here compared to any other book) but the author had me on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading

Okay, I love this series and can't wait for the next one to come out. This book doesn't have as much of the humor that is found in the others, but way more feels. Contracts are starting to end, so does this mean that the story is ending too? I don't want it to end!

Loved it.

This is a fab series, I am loving how much Amelia has grown through the series and how positively gooey her men have become over her. Looking forward to reading the next one in the series.

I love this series

If I had to come up with a complaint it would be the rehashing for those joining us without reading the previous books. It’s a great series and lots of hot scenes.

Great book

Why Amazon insist on 20 words for a review via kindle, I don't know. Especially when I just want to say that I really enjoyed this book.

Love this series

Love this series and this was a good way to end it. Bits of it surprised me and it had some of the steamier scenes some of the other books lacked

I can't wait for the next one. Usually after this many books I'm kinda bored (if I read them one after another like I did these) but I need to know what happens to Adie and the boys!

It took me a little bit to get into this book, at one point it was almost a DNF. I'm so so so glad I stuck to it though cuz it got better and the end of the book was amazing! Addy is my superhero.
