Quick story about jealousy
I would be in jail if I was his wife. Walk into a strip club and see your husband getting a lap dance from his receptionist with her tongue down his throat??? Oh please! Justifiable homicide! Luckily we have Gideon's thoughts and he is not happy. The receptionist was a skank. Straight up skank. His friend David said there would be no strippers but he took him there anyway. Not a true best friend at all. I really understood Scarlett's inner thoughts about not looking or feeling the same after life taking it's toll on your body and brain. It makes you feel less desirable and I have flinched away from intimacy too. But Gideon does love his woman. Big time. He was a good husband too. The only part I wasn't too fond of was the intimate scenes. They were a little raunchy. I like more romantic. Just a personal preference.

Oh valentinessss!!! This one was more married couple ;) and flashbacks.
I think I would have liked this one more if we didn't see alot of flashbacks.. the first one YESSS!!. And there meet up was Scarlett going to a plastic surgeon aka Gideon to get some work done but he never let her since she was perfect the way she was!! Love a man who says that to his woman.
Thats how they started and over the years they grew had some kids and slowly Scarlett started to distant herself from her husband due to her insecurities and when she was she meets his new receptionist and it causes her to doubt.. which broke my heart. As for Gideon he never stop loving Scarlett he knows she's dealing with something and he wants to know. But there is drama with that Receptionist.. and Gideon is not about to lose his wife.

🍭Then there is insta-everything.

Scarlett and Gideon have been married for over 8 years. Scarlett is insecure though and she pushed her husband away. But he won’t have it! I wish there was a cute epilogue with more babies! Virgin heroine, hero is kissed by another woman but he doesn’t reciprocate!

This wasn’t bad, just not what I was in the mood for. I thought it would be drama-llama with loads of crazy OW shenanigans shut down by a sexy obsessed husband, but it ended up being a relatable but insecure wife that needed her sexy obsessed husband to constantly reassure her with a teeny bit of OW drama.
Bottom Line- It wasn’t bad, Gideon LOVED Scarlett bunches. I wish Jessica (wannabe OW) had a bigger presence in the plot, but that’s because I love drama. Scarlett’s issues were very relatable, I was just looking to escape RL problems not relive a mommy/body identity crisis. And I grew tired of the flashbacks, IMO only the first one was necessary.
Bottom Line- It wasn’t bad, Gideon LOVED Scarlett bunches. I wish Jessica (wannabe OW) had a bigger presence in the plot, but that’s because I love drama. What an amazing novella
This was just perfection. I laughed, I screamed, and I cried in less then 80 pages. CC Monroe can do no wrong when it comes to her writing. She knows how to make and develop characters, plot, and a beautiful romance like no other. I didn't want this to end. But it was the perfect length for a novella, and you never feel like you missed anything. I recommend everything I have read so far by her. You will never regret picking up a CC Monroe novel!!!

The new receptionist touches his arm suggestively a few times, but he’s oblivious. Stupid clever man. He was the best part of the book for me and I’d have enjoyed it if the writing didn’t distract from the plot.

He knows that something is wrong in their marriage and he is determined to find out what it is and prove to his wife that she is the only woman he will ever want, and he loves her just the way she is.

This is a very quick story about two characters who fell in love instantly, settle down, have kids, and then 8 years later grow apart. It showcases love and passion between two characters. I would have liked a longer book. I would have liked an epilogue, I would have liked less flashbacks and more story. But it is a short story and I get that I can't have all my own way. If you like a short, sweet story then this is a book for you.

What an amazing novella by an amazing duo! I loved the premise of a husband and wife finding their way back to each other after years of marriage and still being ignited by the same passion that brought them together in the first place. It's sexy, passionate, and moving and I simply loved every minute of it!

Quick, sweet and a little dirty
I love a good strong Alpha and Gideon was exactly that!!! Scarlett was struggling to find her way after having their younger child and trying not to let her insecurities get the best of her and let it affect their marriage. Gideon is strong and does everything he can to bring his woman back to him. It was beautiful to see how much he loved her and how devoted he was to her

I loved it, it was a beautiful story. This is the second book I read about married life and the issues the couples face. The love between these two and Gideon’s faithfulness and steadfast love for Scarlet just made me cry.

Just wanted to take a moment and give my quick take on TO HAVE AND TO HOLD by Monroe & Robichaux. Both are new to me authors so I wasn’t sure what to expect going in. This short story was a great read and absolutely full of heat and swoon. I am a massive fan of insta-love and seeing as how it was instant for both Scarlett and Gideon made this one book I did not put down until I was done. What I loved most was how much these two loved one another. It was a powerful thing to read about.
If you are looking for a quick read between books, I highly recommend this one. It was well written and perfect in every way. I need more of these authors and their books in my life. 5 Stars!

Five stars! Dr. Steamy, McDreamy Vegas Style!
KD and CC's writing flowed so smoothly, you would never guess this book was written by two different authors. Gideon Pierce was every bit the alpha male, and his and Scarlett's story was perfection. The insecurities couples face in a marriage, and how their love endured made To Have and to Hold a definite 5 star read for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would recommend it to a friend.

It started out a little slow for me but quickly pulled me in. OMG I don’t think I have ever read a book where the couple is already married and in love. I love how it truly shows the women’s mindset after having babies and how it changes you. But damm those sex scenes had me looking for my hubby. I can not wait to read more from both of these authors.

This is one of this books that we don't get a lot. The couple has been happily married for years, but are hitting a stagnant point. Scarlett loves Gideon with all she has, but has been put down her entire life by her mother. Her mother has told her over and over again what she should look like and act like, and doesn't feel as though she is up to those standards. There is zero doubt in Gideon's mind that Scarlett is the the only woman for him. And it takes a little coaxing/drama from outside sources for these Scarlett to allow herself to see the error of her thoughts. Especially since Gideon lays them out directly. I adore both CC Monroe and KD Robichaux and thrilled that they have joined forces again. This is a great start to the Vegas Vows collaboration!

This has to be one of my favorite couples!!! I loved so much about them both! It's the perfect amount of steamy sex, and pure sweet

I absolutely devoured this novella in one sitting. I couldn’t put it down! Gideon and Scarlett’s story is a blazing hot sweep you off your feet perfect love story that we all wish we had. Or was it? Scarlett has the perfect husband who as a plastic surgeon spends her days with perfection. After having children her insecurities get the best of her. I love how CC and KD brought true insecurities to light, and also showed true beauty and love.

Wow. It's been a long time since I read a book that could bring me to tears like that. Scarlett was a true woman. Whether we care to admit it or not, we all have our insecurities. This was a great story about a husband and wife finding themselves again and proving that their love truly conquers all. Though I do have to say, that Jessica chick...if I were Scarlett, I probably would have kicked her right in her skanky vajayjay!

This book is a sweet and steamy read by two authors i love already and I think teaming up produced an amazing story of rediscovered love.
Both MCs are beautifully written, I think Gideon reminds me of my husband.
