She doesn’t want to work for big business, and baby, I’m BIG. My billionaire family calls me back to New York. Time to take over the charitable foundation we have. As if traveling the globe and having a new woman every night wasn’t a good enough life. Alas, I return. There’s a lot of money behind the family name, and I want my cut. My own pleasure can take a back seat, or so I thought. Even though she’s totally against working for “the man,” my new hire joins the foundation and the electricity between us could light up the night sky. Never in my life has someone taken my attention like this woman has. I put the bad in bad boy, but all of the naughty things we’re doing around the office are sure to catch up with me soon. Not sure how the media would feel about the most charitable guy in New York spending his time leg-locked with a bleeding heart like my girl is. But who cares? I have money, fame, and her. Honestly, it’s the perfect love affair. What could go wrong?

Telling a good story that revives hope, reminds us of love, and gives a vacation from life is all she’s up to.
This was an okay read. Personally Maisie was very unlikable in the beginning. She just never impressed me. They did get a happy ending and that was nice. I just wish it didn't take over 500 pages to get there.
A MUST READ!!! Colt and Maisie are so made for each other their journey will keep you on your toes. Colt is a Bancroft, a billionaire party playboy. Now it's time to grow up and take over the family's charitable foundation in NY. Maisie is barley making it with her three best friends living off ramen noodles and rallying for the kids, homeless and shelters. When Maisie literally runs into Colt their worlds will never be the same. She's street smart and knows the world he's trying to help, he's got the money but no knowledge of the how's. Together they get the wheels moving....oh and the sparks flying. But Maisie also has a past that terrifies her and someone from Colt's world triggers her fear. Another life altering situation spend into Maisie but this time Colt will do anything to protect her. Is his world too much for her, or will she fight for what make her truly happy?? Absolutely recommend!! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and purchased a copy for my favorites collection.

Maisie is a sweet kind hearted person always trying to help people in need she runs into Colt at a protest she is participating in he loves her passion also he's attracted to her she what he needs at his foundation & hires her they have two very different backgrounds so this would work for his ideas. Maisie doesn't trust Colt at first because of his wealth but she finds very quickly he truly wants to help the less fortunate they work together end up having an intimate moment together but someone from the past rears their head causing problems its to much for Maisie. I definitely recommend to get this book you'll love the journey Maisie & Colt take you on so much happens I love how the story ends I can't wait for next book in the Bancroft Brother Series.
Gosh! This novel is an excellent romantic tale, but, by no means should this novel be excluded from readers of other genres. This book encompasses romance and SO much more. I can easily see why Ms. Parker wrote such a massive novel on this subject line. In order to cover all points needing addressing in the world in which this story takes place, requires an in-depth telling of situations; any less would do a disservice to the subjects covered in this novel. More, pity the society in which we live that has a subject matter this large to tell. The characterizations were well done: detailed and "human" in all the elements "human" means in our current society.
This novel should pique the interest of a broad spectrum of readers. I hope people will not discount this novel as "just a romantic read", for in doing so, they will miss out on quite an edifying experience. This novel is well worth the time needed to invest in reading it. Exceedingly well done Ms. Parker. Thank you for the enlightenment.
Good stuff! Highly recommended reading material across all genres.
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
We've already been introduced to his three older brothers and now it's Colt's turn. He's back to run the Family Charitable Foundation and is determined to do it well. But who to work with him? He literally bumps into him when running for a much needed coffee whilst campaigning. Maisie is a fireball and whirlwind that he didn't expect but he very much needed. He's nothing like she expects and she certainly didn't realise that his offer of a job interview was genuine. Maisie is drawn into Colt's life and still feels that she needs to pinch herself that it's real. The attraction between them is instant but there is no way that she will sleep with her boss! Of course not! But then a slime ball from his past comes for help and really upsets Maisie. Ali Parker Always draws me into her fabulous storylines and liking her characters [well apart from Pax!]. Maisie and Colt are just so good together but her past could pull them apart. Will they fight for each other? I'm going to have to re-read Colt's brother's stories again and read them all in one go as love to read series together. Can easily be read as a standalone too. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended.
Colt, what a man! Ali Parker really knows how to put emotions, love and kindness into her books. And this one is a great one. Witty. Charming. The kind of love you’ve been looking for your whole life and when you find it you don’t wanna let it go. Maisie’s main goal in life is to feed, clothe and house those who need it. When she meets billionaire Colt, he knows immediately she is the perfect person for his foundation. She grew up totally opposite from him, poor and hungry with a bad home life. But once they start working together, all that matters is what they are now. They are drawn to each other with their desire to help homeless families, shelters, and food kitchens, but they want to take it farther and really help the people. This book is magnificently written. Upbringing doesn’t have anything to do with their attraction to each other, but their desire for each other is off the charts hot. And they get each other, something that neither one of them has had before. It’s like two magnets being drawn together. An absolutely fantastic book that I highly recommend you read.
I love the story a lot of turns into us is a great book but what I didn’t like about it is that the drag on so much you begin to wonder what it’s about they take simple things and make it be remote as long I would recommend this book to my club it’s a good book to read on rainy days when you’re stuck in the house because awful long to tell the story of something I could be told and less words I choose a really because the story it was good but yourself but you don’t have to go to all the turns and twists to get there is a tally too longAnd I figure it out way too soon where it was going and then I don’t like but basically is a good story the characters could’ve been more robust more forthcoming and more romance and the room is could have more part in it myself I will be them hanging they are my family before he came along family looks like the family a man should be able to take the family as well the girl you should be able to help to make it better and I just drop and take her out but I guess that’s another story
Ali has once again written a book that is worth 5 stars and once you start you won’t want to put it down. Colt is home and is wanting to make a difference and is working on his family’s charitable foundation. Knowing he needs someone who also wants to make a difference and knows how to get it done when he runs into Maisie, he knows she is right for the job. Maisie and Colt come from two different places he is wealthy and known for being a playboy and she has always fought and done for the less fortunate. When Colt asks for her to help, she doesn’t quite trust him but the more they are together she starts to see he is sincere about the foundation. This storyline is an emotional one with some things that will make you hurt for some of the characters and it will bring some drama and some steam. This was just a great book and worth of all 5 stars. I was glad to receive an arc copy of this book and I’m voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Maisie is a champion for the poor and abused. She knows what it’s like, she’s been there. She may be poor but she’s fierce when she fights for others. She has dreams but they’re all for others, she has none for herself. When she literally runs into Colt, she recognizes him. She thinks he’s one of the arrogant rich men that look down on the poor. She couldn’t be more wrong.
Colt has come home to run his family’s charitable foundation. What he needs, though, is someone that knows the local charities. When Maisie runs into him, he’s sure that she’s the person he needs for the job. To ensure she shows up at her interview, he promises to donate to the charity of her choice. What he does instead is offer her a job with a salary that will allow her to donate to her heart’s content. Now all they have to do is learn to work together, without letting their attraction to each other get in the way.
I can’t fairly rate this book, since I didn’t even finish the first chapter. The intro was such a turn-off, I really didn’t even want to start reading. But, I did. Where we are first introduced to 4 roommates, all drunk, hung over, and sleeping on the floor. Not what I look for in a h, but, ok. Then we go on and on about her ‘cause’. Ah, a professional protester. Ok, certainly not up my alley, but, whatever. The tipping point for me, however, was the writing itself. It reads as if it were written by someone for whom English is not their first language. Or they just aren’t very comfortable writing. It was extremely stilted, and uncomfortable to read. All-in-all, from the intro, to the first few pages, I was completely underwhelmed. This is not how I would like to spend a rainy afternoon. So, I’ll move on. You may totally love it. It may get better. I’ll find something else to read.
Colt is trying to finally do something meaningful with his family's foundation... he's got some ideas but knows he needs the right person to stay on track. Maisie is used to fighting for the underdogs and literally runs into Colt while she's out doing just that. He's immediately taken with her and sees her potential... Maisie? Well, she jumps to conclusions about Colt based on who he is - a VERY wealthy man. Will he be able to win her over? This story was fun to read as these two grew as people and fought for a good cause. The question is... will one man bring everything tumbling down around them? There are some dark sides to this story and there may be triggers for those with issues surrounding physical abuse... Overall, a well-written story. Really enjoyed these characters and how the story developed.
Just like with his brothers, Colt has gone and made me fall in love with yet another Bancroft son. Even though he has the reputation of a playboy, he’s got his heart set on making a difference in the world. Maisie is a natural-born crusader. She doesn’t just ‘want’ to save the world; she’s going to do it. This pair have the same end goal in sight, but their methods are slightly different, and their backgrounds couldn’t be further apart. I loved watching Colt working so hard in his family’s name, but it hurt my heart to see the scars Maisie was hiding and the way she (wasn’t) dealing with them. It made me so happy to see how their story turns out in the end. And now I’m extra curious to see what’s going to happen with the next Bancroft brother to find his forever. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
4 stars I receive a free copy of the steamy New York set novel A Billionaire's Love Affair (Bancroft Brothers Book 4): Colt and Masie by Ali Parker and this review was given freely. Action and drama packed with a wonderful mix of multifaceted and at times colorful characters from different backgrounds containing strong personalities with a vulnerable side. The Bancroft siblings lend former wandering playboy Colt advice and moral support as he navigates through the first charity project for the Bancroft Foundation, recovery after a malicious attack, and an instant attraction relationship with childhood abuse survivor and advocate for the underprivileged, Masie Atwood. Can be read as a standalone but best if read in series as it follows the evolving lives of the Bancroft family. 18+ recommended for steamy scenes and some graphic violence.
A beautiful wrong side of the tracks romance. Maisie and Colt couldn't be more different. He's a billionaire, raised in the lap of luxury, loved and cared for, and the head of a million dollar charity foundation. She has been born in poverty, raised by a drunken violent father and a meek abused mother, struggling to make ends meet in New York, but always trying to help the underprivileged and hungry. They literally run into each other and she ends up working for him in his foundation. Opposites attract but Maisie thinks their attraction is too good to be true. Enter Pax, too much like Maisie's father for her to handle. Great characters. Maisie is one tough little broad, feisty as heck and much stronger than she realizes. Colt is just a really good guy, falling hard for Maisie. Great story, lots of sweet love scenes and a whole lot of angst. Loved it and highly recommend it.
Colt and Maisie draw you into this thrilling story right from the beginning. It is descriptive and I connected with the characters because you just can’t help it! Colt has returned to take over his family’s charitable foundation. Maisie catches his attention when she runs into him and her passion for activism lands her a job working with Colt who is also attracted to Maisie. An intimate encounter with Maisie has Colt seeing her in a different light but a blast from his past is back and is stirring up trouble. Maisie is caught in the middle and when it is all over the emotional turmoil has taken its toll. Will Colt and Maisie be able to find their way back to each other and will it lead to a happily ever after for the two? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Explosive!!! Colt and Maisie’s story will have readers on their toes wondering what’s going to happen next. Colt is a playboy billionaire tasked with overseeing the foundation side of the company. Maisie is a down on her luck activist attempting to make life better for those less fortunate. Chemistry sizzles when these two meet and passion and love ignite as the story continues. Readers will fall in love with this new novel from Ali Parker with its painful pasts, second chances, passion, angst, protective alpha males, street smart independent women, and love. Maisie and Colt have truly met their match in each other and they will never be able to go back to the day before. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. “I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this novel.”
A Billionaire's Love Affair. This book was fascinating to read. The characters were amazing and captured my heart. I laughed and cried throughout the story. The Bancroft brothers are a great loving family that sees people for who they are. Colt meets Maisie and asks her to work with him at his Fondation helping people in need. Maisie is experienced in this type of work and comes up with the perfect project. Past secrets creep into the relationship that Colt and Maisie are developing that put a halt to everything. A friend from the past wreaks havic on the Fondation as well as their relationship which has Maisie running and giving up. This is a must read book! "I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book."
Another Bancroft brother bites the dust! I liked reading about Colt and Maisie's story. I do feel like the story line about their initial charity died a sad and lonely death. It was the focal point of the story and essentially what brought them together, but at some point in the book it completely disappears. I wished that the epilogue showed a bit of the success of the outreach they were doing. I loved every part that had Colt helping Maisie deal with her anxiety. The scene where Pax goes nuts dragged on longer that it really needed to. After a few pages I was skimming because nothing was really happening. I loved Maisie's friends and wished we got to see Colt playing Monopoly with them! This was another book where all the previous ladies are simply mentioned but never seen.

Colt and Maisie come from different backgrounds financially but their chemistry is electric. Maisie is a kind hearted soul who only wants to help as many people as she can given her background and that's how she and Colt happened to meet. They literally bumped into one another at a protest that Maisie was participting in. Colt in from the wealthy Bancoft family and is slated to head the Fundraising department for their family, which makes Colt and Maisie a match made in heaven. There are many twists and turns so you better settle down and read right through. I received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.
A nice long read. This story is about Colt and Maise. Colt returns home to help out with his family’s charitable foundation. He hires Maise to help him as he know’ s they are like minded. They are a bit like opposites attract -he’s the gorgeous playboy who comes from the wealthy side of the tracks and she she has always had to fight and struggle for everything and fights for the less fortunate. When Colt asks for her to help, she doesn’t quite trust him but the more they are together she starts to see he is sincere about the foundation. I voluntarily received an arc copy of this book from the author and purchased a copy as well
Maisie, a social activist, runs into Colt, head of the Bancroft Foundation, on her way to get coffee during a rally on a cold New York day. As the story progresses a job is offered, things get out of her control, and the past combined with the present could sabotage their future. Ali Parker’s A Billionaire’s Love Affair is an enticing romance read about how opposites attract and the power the past has on the present if repressed. Colt is the perfect guy for Masie and their support systems (his brothers and her friends) are a hoot.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
A well written story of a woman overcoming the terror of living with an abusive, alcoholic father and a mother that stayed in this toxic situation. How Maize champions others with similar situations and volunteers in shelters to assist those people to find a better life. She literally bumps into Colt and discovers he has a desire to assist with a program to help the homeless and abused too. Their chemistry is off the charts and filled with laughter and tenderness. When a very difficult challenge occurs they find away together to face her fears and live a full rich life.
Colt and Maisie accidentally meet when Maisie runs into him so hard she falls down. She was out doing her usual protesting and was so colt she was running to get some hot coffee. Colt took her and bought her coffee. He had been running the Bancroft charitable foundation for some time but is trying to get an office set up to give money away to needy deserving people. He is really impressed with Maisie's knowledge of the various charities around and which were most deserving. He wants her to apply for the job to be his right hand person. A great hot relationship ensues. I love this family. All super great books.
An “extraordinary” love story Maisie and Colt are from opposite backgrounds; however, they are involved in making a difference in the lives of those who have very little. When she begins working for him they find out that they are involved in the same charitable effort of feeding the poor in New York. She has a project to best meet the need, and he joins forces with her. Things go wonderfully until someone from his past shows up. Absolutely wonderful characters in this beautifully written story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is the story of Maisie and Colt. He’s wanting to do something charitable with his family’s foundation but needs to find someone that has experience in this. He runs into Maisie who does this as she’s always working for the less fortunate. At first she doesn’t trust Colt as he’s wealthy but soon finds out he’s wanting to actually help. They find that helping to feed the homeless in NY is something that works for his foundation. As they work together Colt has wanted to be with Maisie but will she go out and be with him as they are so different from each other?
Colt and Maisie's story is another great read from Ali Parker. Colt is definitely a bad boy and he's earned the title but once he meets Maisie things begin to change. I loved the way they met by the way - no spoilers. He boosts her confidences and helps her get over her past! She has some great friends who also help her see that what she and Colt have is worth fighting for.
This story made me smile and laugh although at times my heart went out to both of them. Thankfully they work things out.
This is a brilliant read. When Maisie first meets Colt she bumps into him, literally. When he offers her a job she accepts but only because she wants to help the needy and Colts foundation is going to do just that. The chemistry and attraction between them is off the charts and when they give in the sparks fly. They are brilliant together but when someone from his past causes trouble will they survive and fight it. Plenty of passion and drama in this book as well as love. A must read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Maisie and Colt are great charming characters . He is a playboy and a player and when his family as enough of his prowess he is asked to go and run their charitable foundation in NYC, he literally runs into Maisie and their two worlds collide with a bang! She is struggling to make ends meet and he rich and has no clue how to distribute the wealth his family foundation can give. They will both teach each other a lesson on life. Their story is heartwarming and entertaining. Another winner for Ali Parker!!! I volunteered to review this story.
This is Colt Bancroft and Maisies book. Colt is the head of the family charity foundation, but he feels out of his element, he does not want to just throw money to organizations, he wants to nake a real difference. Maisie has spent her adult life "crusading" to help the less fortunate and often puts others before herself. When she runs into Colt, literally, doors open for her she never imagined, But what happens when her past haunts her. Can Colt and Maisie have their hea
