Holly Roberds is an Amazon Top 40 Bestselling Author of the Vegas Immortals and Lost Girls series, known for badass heroines, gut-busting laughs, and spicy romance. Holly lives in Denver but is only outdoorsy in that she drinks on patios—with a prosecco in one hand and an espresso in the other. When not writing, she’s playing D&D, sharpening her banter skills, or sinking her teeth into her husband’s very bitable arm.
wow, this is a gripping paranormal romance boxset that well once you start you will just not be able to put down! It’s fast paced and full of action, adventure, suspense and you will easily get lost in this world created by the author! There’s also smoking hot chemistry between the characters, romance and tons more so dive right in!
Prophesy Girl - What I liked about Calan was his belief. He started out by being most positive in who he was and his life's purpose. Then falters when he realizes his whole upbringing has been one of dishonest and lies. But misperceptions give way to knowledge and his belief in himself, and who becomes the most important person in his world strengthens him once again.
Soulless Son - What I liked about Emma is her courage in attempting the almost impossible. Brainwashed by the Luxis, her mission is to execute Calan. But she breaks free and tries to bring back just who is was before the rendering.
Tear in the World - Damien is the most... I am not sure what to say about him. Evil? yes. Devious? yes. But, is there something in his madness? What does he know that makes him so sure about the future and the truth of the orders? Emma and Calan are struggling with family, friends and enemies and their strength in themselves in tested to the breaking point.
When I started book one I wasn't sure if I liked it. But I read a little more and I'm delighted to say that I loved all three books in the first set. I read one after the other because I couldn't out them down. There is just something about Caleb and Emma that pulls you in wanting more. I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next for this lovable twosome.
I read the books individually, it would have been nice to have them all in one set as they end in cliffhangers. This way you can read them one after the other. This was a good series, the author had built a world where there is five orders trying to keep evil at bay. But each has their own view as to what needs to happen. A love story between a Chevalier and a Propheros.
Alternating POVs, kick-ass females and males, noble warriors, lying secret organizations, mystical connections, twisted inhuman demons, magic, prophecies, hot sex, great friends, humor, and desperately racing to save the world...
I LOVED IT!

Be prepared because this is definitely a slow burn. Do not let that sway you into not reading this series because it is actually really good! You will never be disappointed in reading a book from Holly Roberds!
Prophecy Girl **** An interesting first book. It took me a while to get into the story and understand the basis for the plot. I’m not really a fan of religious fanatics, but having five different groups at odds with each other all trying to protect the world made for interesting scenes. There was a nice blending of young adult pop culture and paranormal elements. Emma was a quirky and independent female lead. Calan was much more strong and reflective while providing more of his point of view as a child raised as part of one of the religious orders.
Soulless Son *** This felt like a typical book-2-of-3 series. Yes there was action and the plot continued from book 1, but I had a hard time connecting with/liking the main characters. Soulless Callan was one dimensional with a flat affect. Post brainwashed Emma felt paranoid and vacillated between hope for Callan’s soul to return or intent to kill him and walk away. Emma’s background thought completely dominated the novel. I did appreciate the fun banter that Krysten, Travis and Krysten’s grandma provided near the end. The possessed grandma dialogue really made me smile. Yes there was some resolution at the end, but it just didn’t give me the same “content” feeling I hope to experience at the end on a novel. Maybe I’ll experience it at the end of book 3?
Tear in the World -solid 4-4.5* A solid 4 to 4 1/2 star. I must say I really enjoyed this story. While I was confused with how the plot progressed in book 2, all the pieces begin to come together in book 3. I felt much more satisfied with the quality of interactions between Calan and Emma in this novel. The witty banter between Krysten, Travis and Krysten’s grandmother made me smile yet again. I enjoyed seeing hardcore party girl Krysten face off with bong boy Travis as he reads bodice ripper romance novels to grandma (using voices) as she knits! At times the dialogue was from different characters’ point of view which was hard to determine until you were well through a paragraph or two. I also felt that I understood the fine details of the story as well as their context having read all the novels in the series in order. There was a lot of suspense, romance, revelations as well as battle between the forces of dark and light. I must say I did not expect the novel to finish as it did. While it was somewhat satisfying in a weird HFN way, it really puts me on edge as I wait for the next book.
These are great books to read !! The struggle to save the world is not easy and is accompanied by a lot of pain, fear and terror, but also the build-up of a love to eternity. The first book brings the main characters who will save the world and the attraction of Calan and Emma. In the second part, Emma and Calan really separate themselves from their order to encounter other orders that all want to use the powers that Emma and Calan have in a different way. The third book takes you to a battle against evil, against beings coming from hell. Above all there is the love between Emma and Calan who seems to conquer everything. The end of this series of books is open. It is not yet finished ....... But what a great end!
