I found this story of erotic, forbidden love an absorbing read. After the death of her mother, Britannia moved back to New York. Michael's marriage to Brit's mother had been a warm, loving one, but it was not a traditional marriage. They had come together at a time when Michael's life was imploding, needing an outlet for his desires. Both of them were Doms who needed a submissive. His wife was more than his mentor; they were each other's best friends, the perfect power couple. They knew each other's secrets, and because of their understanding of each other's needs, they were able to give each other the space they needed to thrive on their own terms. Michael was never a father figure to Brit. It was so easy for them to find solace in each other's arms. Brit's honest submission to his demands completed them both. This story was a complex story of love and understanding, of two people coming together to celebrate love in ways many may not understand, but one person who would have understood was Brit's mother.

There will be a 3rd person added to the mix, so we get the M/F but now we’ll see M/F/M. Her mother kept secrets that spanned from when she was a toddler until the time of her mother’s death. Michael is part of the secret. As her stepfather he didn’t see Brit as anything but his wife’s daughter until Brit came back home at the age of 22 for her mom’s funeral. Her mother is 20 years older then Brit but Michael is 12 years older then Brit, so he was the younger man and a legal fake husband. This part confused me, why did her mom and Michael get married? When they only touched the other once after saying ‘I do’? These two were powerful enough as individuals, her as a Broadway star and politician and he CEO of companies he inherited?
Adam sowed up at the funeral and disappeared but only to pop up at the same sex club on the same night Michael takes Brit, coincidence?

Grief is its own entity! I was thrown from grief to life and what a remarkable take this story became. It is just what I needed to throw me back into this series! Incredibly written! Yes it is a quickie but it is SO GOOD! I really want to express that this author has the ability to transport you into her worlds and is not forgiving when she does this! The chemistry between Michael and Brit is electric as it is flammable. As for Adam I am not sure how I feel about him. The secrets that are hidden within will have you questioning everything, but fear not it will be explosive. Get ready for the ride that will see you questioning everything!

Brit gets the call that her mother died from her stepdad Michael. Michael is only twelve years older than Brit. So Michael and Brit look at each other in a different light. They want to help each other heal. They even go to a BDSM club. There they meet Adam. There are secrets that Brit's mom kept and secrets that will be revealed. This is a great twisted story, but that is what I like so this was a great story. It has twists and secrets and all the other good stuff. the characters were great, some of the scenes were maybe a little questionable but that makes it better.

It leads to secrets being uncovered and her developing relationships with the men in her mothers life. The story was well written with characters that drew you in. There are some twists and turns that I did not see coming. If you do not mind the taboo scenario, this is a good book to read

A very hot and steamy romance with a touch of forbidden love. This story was so emotional and then turned so steamy hot enough to melt the words off the pages of this book! The chemistry between Britannia and Michael is so explosive, and they fall in love. This story has an expected ending, but made this story even hotter and steamier. This is a hot and steamy taboo romance between Brit and her step father Michael. The author brings strong , well developed characters with a specific sexual desire and guides them through a fast moving and satisfying relationship for each of them .. than they add a third to their party. It's well written with vividly painted scenes ,moves quickly and smoothly and is a sizzling quickie all happening following her mother's unexpected passing.

Michael ended up calling Brit and telling her that her mother died in a car accident. Brit wasn't sure on how her life was going to move forward until Michael ended up making a move on Brit. Brit told Michael that everything was all right. Michael couldn't believe that he had finally found someone that made him feel whole. Brit couldn't believe that her mother was hiding secrets from her but she understood why. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. I enjoyed this book very much, it had emotion and heat, I did struggle with the speed that it got Hot between them.
Standalone with no cliffhangers.
Brit got the call that no one ever wants, now she has to figure out her life without her mother in it, but it looks like daddy might step up. Will it be enough?
Michael is a nonviolent dom, he just likes control and not of just one person.
Is this a temporary fix or can it last?

There's nothing more taboo than yearning for the man who helped raise you. Well, at least not until your mother passes away & you get to experience him in all the ways you ever dreamed of. Brittania has had a major crush on her stepdad, Michael, since she was a preteen. When she goes back home for her mother's funeral, Michael sees her as a young woman and not the kid he helped raise. Together they are explosive and only they can make the other whole again.

Great characters and a taboo story make this one a can't put down story you have to have on your TBR list.

Taboo, but super hot. This is what I would call a short story, but it was full of taboo goodness.
Michael and Brit have been aquatinted with each other for a long time, but nothing ever came of it until after they both lost someone they both loved. This book was a quick read, but a thoroughly enjoyable one.

Burying his desires is a steamy and kinky peek into the bdsm world. As it is a short story it is just enough rouse your appetite and leave you hungry for more. It also brings in other kinks with a stepfather and stepdaughter relationship so it might not be everyone's cup of tea. If you are opened minded you'll love it.

This is a hot sexy taboo story. I don't like it when a hero sexually shares the heroine with OM but in this case, it didn't really bother me. The story was too short for me to feel emotionally invested in the characters. Therefore the fact that the hero enjoys sharing her with OM didn't matter. If there has to be sharing then I much rather it is the hero and OM sharing the heroine as opposed to the hero having sex with the heroine and OW, which didn't happen in this book.

The third book in the Rebel Lust Taboo series a well written story that kept me turning pages. I enjoyed reading Britannia Vale, Michael, and Adam's story as the three of them come together after her Mother's death. Margaret Vale was mother to Brit. and the two men had been her lovers but one of them was not known to the others. I hope there is more to come in this series. I can honestly say I won't look at funerals the same but I did enjoy the fact that it shows there is life after loss. That you can move forward and its ok to be happy even when something tragic and sad happens. I feel like there was a lot of twists to this story and it does at times put you on the edge of your seat.

Britannia and Michael have grown up together and after Britannia mother dies she finds out she didn’t know her mother very well.
This is a very very hot sexy story but also has a taboo aspect that might not appeal to everyone but I would recommend at least give it a go you won’t be disappointed by OB stories

Taboo but oh so good

I’m a big fan of Ophelia Bell’s contemporary stories, and this one is one of her best. It’s emotionally rich, it’s oh so hot, and it has the happiest of endings. I liked how it tied in with her Rebel Lust series, all while standing on its own. Please, please Ms. Bell, let there be more!
