“209 Wedding Lane” is the story of Willow and Lennon.

A really sweet and heartwarming romance.

Hero and heroine get “married” as teenagers when heroine thinks she will die from leukemia. She then disappears, and hero spends years looking for her. When he does trace her, he spends time wooing her again and they fall in love. The epilogue was fantastic!

Dual virgins. Both hero and heroine are beyond sweet! I didn’t care for the stalker thing though and I needed more angst! It just didn’t grip me!

Totally safe: both are virgins, no cheating!

Lucy Darling gives a 5 star read every time. I see her name and I’m one clicking.

Here she delivers a super sweet read that really is swoon worthy! Leading heroines who are sweet, funny and relatable.

No cheating. No over the top drama.

Strong leading males who just know with one look that they’ve found their forever.

It’s a yes from me.

Ugh, a uber-sweet story of falling in love. Both MCs met briefly when they're both kids and to fulfil h's bucket list of getting married before she died. A brief (non-legal) marriage but the vows were forever. It couldn't get any sweeter than that, especially when they met again.

I like how the plot seemed drawn out of fairytale of romance with a drop of sexiness here and there. Couldn't stop blushing on how sweet and cute the couple was.
description

(supposedly) dual virgin
No condoms
No drama/angst
bit stalker issue, nope, not the H
No cheating, no OW/OM during separation, No exes
OTT H and (sort of) instalove
Safe read, HEA, epilogue
Overall score: 4.5 dreamy romance stars

Awww, this was so freaking cute I can’t even handle it. The prologue starts with Lennon at the hospital for his brother that needed stitches. He wanders off and finds a girl, Willow, standing in the chapel. She has leukemia and it’s on her bucket list to get married - so that’s what they do. Lennon goes back to his family for a bit but when he tries to find Willow again, she’s already gone somewhere else and he can’t find her.

Years later (no clue how many exactly) Lennon is still trying to find Willow. Apparently he’s super rich and “retired” and when he finally finds Willow, she’s not living too far from him. He finds a way to get close to her but he had been low-key stalking her at this point already.

They get close but he doesn’t tell her about their past yet. I was confused as fuck about how she doesn’t remember him but he does her, but I guess he gave her the name “Len” as kids and neither knew the other’s full name. I’m super confused about the timeline because Willow says she’s 21 and Lennon is 32. During the prologue Lennon thinks she’s around 9 or 10 in the hospital and he’s supposedly a teenager. But if he’s 11 years apart and he was 17 (guesstimating), she would’ve been 6. Doesn’t add up. That shit bugs me.

Aaaaanyway - the rest was super cute. Spoiler alert* Lennon is a virgin and has saved himself for Willow. Cuuuuuute as fuck. I love that shit.

I dunno, aside from the whole timeline not adding up, I really loved this story. It was just so cute. There’s something about meeting as kids and then it ends up in a happily ever after. I’m such a sap.

I think this is my favorite story from the Cherry Falls series so far.

Another great read. I loved how parts of this book overlapped with Glory’s story.
Willow and Lennon are perfect. I loved how as a teen he stepped up to a young girl and tried to help her by agreeing to marry her to tick things off her bucket list. Then they both spend the next ten years or so waiting for each other, without even realising it. They are drawn to each other and I loved how they both waited for each other before they had sex. Willows smile shine through the pages and was beautiful.

She is the only thing keeping me sane.

Loved this one! It's hard to find good stories like this where there is a long separation and both mc's stay celibate. In this case, both were children when they first meet but neither were with anyone else. Dual virgins, no abuse, there are epilogues but not sure how far out.

209 Wedding Lane

Plot: When Willow was 9 years old, she was in the hospital for cancer. She wanted to get married, like a lot of little girls do, so when she saw "Len," a teenager, she asked him to marry her so she could get married before she died. Of course they lost touch after their non-binding wedding ceremony, but Lennon's been looking for her all along. He finally finds her, but of course she doesn't recognize him, and he has the chance to make her fall in love with him.

Character development: Willow was impossibly sweet, and Lennon was a good complement to her. He wasn't her opposite, exactly, but he was single-mindedly determined to reach his goal of making her his. He used an interesting tactic of not reminding her of their previous connection for a while. It worked though!

Would I read more from this author/in this series: Yes

Willow is a cancer survivor, she battled leukemia as a young girl of about 7 or 8 and luckily survived. Lennon was a teen who was at the hospital with his brother who had gotten into another fight and needed stitches, while walking the halls he sees Willow, she is standing in the middle of the hallway with her IV stand in front of the chapel. They introduces themselves and Willow asks Lennon to marry her, she has a bucket list before she dies and wants to cross off getting married. So the two go into the chapel and get married. Fast forward to present day, Willow is now 21, Lennon has devoted his whole life to medical things, he made a company that helped children survice childhood illnesses and then at the age of 32 sells the company and retires. He has spent most of his time since trying to find Willow. He finally finds her and she is living close to him, he starts to stalk her. To him he is still married to this girl and he loves her. Meanwhile, Willow only vaguely remembers him, she has moved form her parents house and wants to start living her life. Her friend Glory talks her into getting on a dating site so she can start meeting men. Lennon can’t wait anymore and seeks her out as a random meeting. After talking for a few minutes he offers her a ride home and she accepts. She recognized him and said she would love to help him with his next fundraiser. They exchange numbers and he texts her, he wants to take it slow so she is not overwhelmed by him. But she thinks he is not interested and when Glory tells her she completed the online dating profile for her and she set up two dates for her. She reluctantly goes on the first date, which Lennon’s security tells him about so he crashes the date and takes her home with him. They then start their relationship, there are a lot of oral sexy times, he is waiting to have sex with her. There is drama with the second date breaking into her house, so she has to move in with Lennon. Glory continues to kind of be a pain, I get it she’s trying to be a good friend but she messing it up. When she finds out that Lennon has been looking for her she freaks Willow out, she calls Lennon and he tells her they know each other from when they were younger, they got married. She remembers and is so shocked she drops the phone, then the second date guy (who never went on the date with her) tries to kidnap her. She is saved by Lennon. Lots of I love yous. They go back to his house and finally have sex, dual virgins. At the fundraiser Lennon proposes. Epilogue with Willow pregnant, (she was worried she couldn’t have kids because of all the cancer treatments) and them adopting twin boys.

too sweet

Love the idea. But it got too sweet for me. Plus, I got annoyed by her friend Gwen. She's a meddler. She sets up the h with two blind dates through a dating app without asking. One of which is a jerk. The other a guy with a rap sheet. Good one. And then, when the H starts dating the h, she's all suspicious about him when just a couple of days before she was singing him praises because of all the good he's done. So, she was ok with her friend going with a total stranger that SHE chose online. But the guy that does charities for children that is a well-known public figure is your number one suspect. I mean, I get that even public figures could hide behind a mask. But if you were to choose between a blind date and one you can easily find info about, who would you be more willing to go out with?

Sorry that I'm ranting about a side character. But she annoyed me and I wanted the h to put her in her place. She was such a know-it-all. It didn't come off as caring as much as meddling because I know best. Gah.

Anyway, I didn't have anything against the MCs. They were ok. Loved the fact that the H had never been with anyone else because he was hung up on the h. Now that's true love.

What do you do when a child in the hospital dying ask you to marry them because it’s on their bucket list? That day Willow made a mark on Lennon’s heart that he never forgot. He spent his life dedicated to helping children in hospitals. Years later after looking high and low for her, he finally finds her and knows he can never let her slip through his fingers again.

Safe read/safe with exception (h goes on a date with someone else that’s quickly broken up)
Dual virgins
No om/ow drama
Epilogues 1 week and unsure how long in the future.

Lennon and Willow. Lennon was a child groom. It’s not how it sounds. He was a willing groom to a sweet girl who said she was dying. Her final wish was to get married, and he was all too happy to grant it. So right there in that hospital, two kids got hitched. It was the best day of his young life. . . Until he couldn’t find her. Until she was gone.

It broke his heart. She took the pieces with her.

He got older, but he never forgot about the little girl with the innocent smile and face of an angel. He had no idea when I he took her hand that day she would guide him down a path to greatness.

She’s smiling in all of them, her dimple on full display. She still looks like my angel.

“I don’t see any boyfriend, so that’s good.” Emily breaks me from my thoughts. I clench my jaw, thinking about her with another man. I’m a bastard because I know that wouldn't stop me regardless. She sealed our fate all those years ago when she asked me to marry her. I’d done it. There wasn’t anything she could have asked me back then that I wouldn’t have done for her.

I’d kept my promise and vow to her all of these years—and now the only thing I won’t do is ever let her go.

Willow is mine. She always has been.

Then he found her. She was alive and in Cherry Falls. He knew he had to have her, to keep her safe, and make her his.

He just have to convince his wife to do him the honor of becoming his bride once again.

“You’re so damn tight, baby. I had no idea it would be like this.” His words surprise me.

“Lennon, have you ever done this before?” He stops moving in and out of me. My sex clenches around him, begging for him to continue. I’m not sure I should have asked that question, but it’s too late now; the words are already past my lips. I don’t want to hear about him with someone else.

“No,” he says without hesitation. I stare up at his handsome face. I shouldn't be surprised. Lennon is a good man. He searched for me for so many years. I think it would have broken my heart a little if he had told me that while he was looking for me that he still engaged with other women. The fact that he didn't means so much to me. It means that he took the vows he made to me all those years ago seriously. We may have only been kids back then, but the heart always knows true love.

“How is that possible?” I find myself asking.

“I told you. It’s always been you. Only you.” Warmth blooms through my whole body. This man really is everything and more than I could have ever dreamed of.

“I think I subconsciously was waiting for you too. No one ever caught my eye.” I pull him down for a kiss, wrapping my legs around him. From the moment I’d looked up at him I knew he was different. “I’m tired of waiting. Make love to me.”

He got married when he was a kid, when he didn’t know what love really meant. But now he does, and he’d never going to let it go.

Lennon did it, and he’d burn the world to protect her.

Super sweet!! The plot was simple, and the writing was a little bit straightforward, so I read very quick without any excitement, and yes it was sweet, but also a little bit boring. But I like it!

This book is totally toothachingly sweet!

I’ve been waiting for Willow’s story and it did not disappoint. The idea of these two younguns ‘getting married’ in a hospital chapel because she’s dying and he’s instantly in love with her is just beautiful.

Yes, it’s insta-love. But they do wait a very long time to get together because Lennon can’t find her despite the fact that he’s filthy rich.

Is it totally realistic? No. Is it a wonderful fantasy with sweet as can be elements and a love that can make miracles happen? Yes. And I love it for that!

I give it four stars because I don’t love it at a five star level, but it’s definitely a good book. I can’t put my finger on an exact reason for the loss of a star, but I think it’s a taste and overall feel kind of thing.

Overall though, I definitely recommend it. It’s well written - Lucy Darling is the perfect author for this overly sweet series. If you’re into Cherry Falls you’ll love this book. If you’re into Lucy Darling you’ll really enjoy this book. And if you love a super sweet romance with a touch of steamy goodness then you’ll definitely love this book!

All comes to Cherry Falls to fall in Love

This stories are a great collaboration of great authors we all know and love to read. It’s wonderful that the stories of Ella Goode, MINK and Lucy Darling all tied in together.

Lucy’s contribution is Willow and Lennon. It’s such a lovely uplifting story of survival from a childhood sickness. Willow was very sick when she was young and had a bucket list and getting married is on the list. She met Lennon who was in the hospital because of his brother and met Willow at the chapel. He agreed to marry Willow to make her happy. Lennon never forgot Willow and when he found her he make sure she won’t disappear again. It’s a great story on how they got together. It’s great to see some of the characters from the other stories.

I hope there’s a story on Lennon’s brother. The bloodsucking lawyer 🤣.

Lennon met the love of his life and married her all in one day. There are just a few problems. They were children at the time, she was going through chemo treatments, and she disappeared. Lennon is not going to let those issues stop him, though. He will find his wife and marry her again.

Willow thinks of the boy who married her all those years ago often. The boy who made a dying girl’s bucket list wish come true. While it has been over a decade since she last saw him, she wishes that she knew where he was and what he was doing. Fortunately, fate has her fingers stirring the pot and they are closer than she could ever dream.

I love Lucy Darling! She always gives us, her readers, what we need. And boy did she deliver. Lennon and his determination to find and legally marry his wife… woo… 🔥. This will go down as a reread for me!!

I though this was another good installment, although Glory definitely overstepped her bounds. It's one thing to be a good friend but another to investigate everyone that comes into your friend's life including bribing people to get information on them. It was just weird that she would encourage Willow to meet up with random strangers from the internet but then was so suspicious of a guy she had actually heard of before.
Also I think their ages got a little messed up. I think it was said that he was thiry-two and she was twenty-one, but that wouldn't have added up since he was a teenager when they first met and she was supposed to be nine or ten so an eleven-year age difference would have put him at twenty or twenty-one the first time they ran into each other. It's not a huge detail, but it is much different for a grown man to be "marrying" a little girl than another kid.

OK, I don't care how unrealistic the set up is for this book; I LOVED IT. The concept of a little boy meeting a dying girl in the hospital, agreeing to marry her because it is on her bucket list and then spending years trying to find her is frickin catnip. Add in that he hasn't been with anyone during that entire time? That is swoonworthy right there.

Once he does find her again, he is in full on sneaky pursuit because he doesn't want to just spring their past connection on her. The attraction is instant and the pursuit really sweet and delicious. There is a suspense side plot that is brought in that I am not sure was needed, but it did get Willow moved in with Lennon pretty darn fast. Overall, a really fun read that made me smile throughout.

3.5 stars!

This week's Cherry Falls installment is this absolutely sweet story of a couple who got "married" as children, lose each other, and find each other again after so many years. Lennon met Willow in a hospital and she told him she was dying of leukemia and had a wish on her bucket list to get married before she dies. They get "married" and when he turns away for a family issue, she disappears. As he grows up he searches for her and finally finds her in Cherry Falls. He's a billionaire who made his money in the medical field - because Willow changed his life when they met. Now he just has to remind her that she's his wife and there's nothing he won't do to marry her for real. If you love an alpha virgin hero who pines for the heroine, you're going to love this.

Cute but poorly written

The story itself is very cute. However, I felt it wasn't written very well. Not so much in spelling and grammar, but more like it was very basic. It seemed a little jumbled sometimes. For instance, her friend walks into the building and she says hi. But all of a sudden, the friend's boyfriend is there, but wasn't mentioned as coming in together. It seemed like the story skipped ahead sometimes, just because there were missing sentences. Probably the hardest for me was dialog not being assigned to a character. Instead of using "I said" or "He said," there would just be dialog. It made it confusing trying to figure out who was talking. I'd classify it as an amateur writing style. But, the story was still cute.
