The Three Deserts

Rate this book
The five Doubting brothers bound with a single view of the rights and wrongs of the Great War will be actively engaged in some of its most important battles fought in three harsh the sands of North Africa, the desolate wastes of the North Sea and the barren sky. Through them we experience the courage, sacrifice and sheer terror of unrestricted war in some of the worst conditions ever experienced in the bloody annals of recorded history. Just to stay alive and sane will take all the strength, courage and self-discipline each of the brothers can muster. They soon realise that the weapons they wield are not the only ones they will need in the fight and that their worst enemy is not necessarily the Hun. 1915 will be a year fraught with problems. Jack has problems with the captaincy of HMS Cromwell, Ernest with his draft to pastures new and Reginald with his conscience or perhaps lack of it. It's also a year when the War reaches new heights of brutality that will drain the very souls of those unfortunate enough to be part of it.
