What always gets me is when people want retribution for something that happened or almost happened to them by doing the same thing back. The cycle never stops with this type of thinking and doing. Mafia life, I guess

Mac wants payback for his sister being dragged into a plot that he and his brothers foiled. He has been biding his time and doing research in order to pay back his enemy-by going through his daughter. She will be collateral damage. I kept thinking about my first point whilst reading this book. The h was starved of affection and was just a genuinely person. Mac was getting in her good graces in order to bring her close and then hurt her to hurt her father.

The twist here is that the h’s father threatens her to spy on the H. So each of them are using each other, whilst falling in love.

I was fully prepared to roll my eyes out of my head if the H and his family judged the h for her role in spying when they set the whole thing in motion.

All in all, a solid book.

HOW CLOSE TO THE ART OF SEDUCTION IS REAL LOVE?

Once again, Ms. Jane Henry takes this reader on an emotional and sometimes edge-of-your-seat journey. While this is another mafia romance series, it is fresh and has heart and soul to the characters. The story takes place in Scotland, in the highlands near Inverness. Like their Irish friends, the Cowan Clan has both allies, like the McCarthy Clan, and then their enemies, the Aitkens Clan.

The story is a roller-coaster ride of mystery, suspense, deceit, plotting, danger, threats, life and death, and even romance. Since the attack on one of the Cowen women by the Aitkens, they seek retribution—and that means that Byrn Aitkens is the target. It will be up to Mac to seduce her—gain her trust. This is a two-way street because Banner Aitkens has no genuine care for his daughters; they are pawns in his game, marrying them off for alliances. He will use Byrn hoping to
gain control and destroying the Cowens.

“You will find Mac. Befriend him. Do whatever it is that convinces a man to—fall for a woman. And then I want you to destroy him. Because like your sisters, your only option is to be wed to another family to strengthen ours. It’s your duty.”

“Serendipitous, even? Destroy him. Which of us will be destroyed in this process?”

I love the chemistry between Mac and Byrn and how he stands up to his men and his father and lets them know that she is under his protection—and that includes his Captain, Leith. He assures Leith he knows his mission and will carry it out, but his heart says differently.

“You like a little excitement. Danger. Don’t you? That’s perfect, then. Because I like control.”

The story has the good, the bad, and the evil of people. Two warring clans, one who only thinks of himself and what he will gain, the other, who cares about people. Two children caught in the middle. One wants to be away and prove her worth, saving her money, creating beautiful clothing, the other loyal to his family—no matter the cost.

“Mulling over my options. Fearing every single result. I’m deeply embedded in a game of life or death to which there are no winners.”

Both Mac and Byrn are caught between a rock and a hard place because they each made the fatal mistake of allowing their heart to get involved. Mac made a promise to Leith he would destroy the Aitkens, and that means doing whatever it takes—knowing Byrn will be hurt in the end. Byrn must appease her father, but her heart isn’t in the game of destruction, she is falling in love with Mac, his dominance and control, his praise, and for the first time in her life, she feels good about herself. The only problem, this situation means destruction, and someone will crash and burn in the process. What will happen when these two must make a decision that will harm the other?

“I knew this could never work out. I knew it. We come from rival clans. We’re star-crossed lovers, as it were, and no matter what, we can’t be together.”

The story is like Romeo and Juliet—two families who don’t get along and their children caught in a battle. What is the most significant measure of love? Self-sacrifice and is what must happen to get out of this predicament.

“You’re right. Real life is infinitely better.”

This continues Ms. Henry's Celtic criminal clan series. I've dipped in and out of it, so by and large could keep the characters straight. While the relationship is a standalone, family members and certain lines of action first appeared in previous books.

Here, we get second son Mac and his Romeo-and-Juliet like romance with Bryn, the daughter of his clan's greatest enemy. Each has been tasked with spying on the other by pretending to fall in love; soon, however, neither is sure that they're pretending.

I've read a lot of this author's works and this has a much different tone. Mac and Bryn's interactions were much lighter than those between her past MC's: they teased each other; they had similar senses of humor; and their dialogue felt natural and flowed well. Given how well Mac treats Bryn, how comfortable they were with each other, and their shared life experiences and world views, I absolutely believed in their connection. I felt that they belonged together and wanted them to have their HEA, and there's no higher praise for a book in this genre than that.

I also can't say enough nice things about Bryn. I particularly appreciated two aspects of her character. First, that she has goals and interests separate from her family. And, second, that she's very sex-positive and comfortable in her body.

That said, I have the same quibbles that I usually do with a Jane Henry story. First, there's no real attempt to realistically portray this clan's country or culture. Second, the inner monologues were highly repetitious as Mac and Bryn told themselves over and over how guilty they felt. Third, there were several plot holes (how William knew what he knew makes no sense). And, finally, it was never clear to me exactly what Mac's endgame was regarding Bryn. In fact, his whole "plan" was so incredibly high schoolish ("I'm going to make her fall in love with me and then dump her -- that'll show her father, ha ha ha") that I pretty much rolled my eyes whenever it came up. I'll also add that there's nothing remotely "dark" or "criminal" or even "manly" about how he was using her to get back at her father (that backstory is explained in Leith and isn't that clear here). Bryn's motivations made much more sense and the stakes were much higher.

4 stars. Plotting is not this author's strength; the connections between her characters are. Here, I felt it more strongly than I have in almost any other of her books, so I recommend it. Mac's younger brother will get the next story. Side Note: I'm a sucker for self-reflexivity so enjoyed the secondary storyline about the novels.

This was a good read.

In this one we follow Mac and Brynn. Brynn Aitkens. Mac is headset on getting revenge for his family, he has everything planned and ready to go, but what he didn’t count on was getting to know Brynn. Brynn has a dressmakers shop that she has managed to keep hidden from her father, but he finds out and she is given an ultimatum, spy on the Cowen clan or be married off.

Brynn and Mac had great chemistry, sparking right from the start. Brynn is dear to my heart, she was strong, headfirst and yet brave enough to be vulnerable. I loved that she was a dress designer, it’s not something you see often.
Mac meshes up with that perfectly, yes they both had secrets up until the end, but it’s written in a way that it makes you want to keep reading instead of throwing your book across the room as I am so inclined to do with a secret trope usually.

I do have to say, same as in Leith, it’s got a conclusion that was just a bit too easy. Also there were parts of the story where I would’ve like just a bit more info, for example Mac’s plan, I never fully understood what the plan actually was and how that would impact the Aitkens clan.

Still this story is a very entertaining and quick read. I do recommend reading at the very least Leith as well to get the full story. I can’t wait to read what’s next.

What happened to Jane Henry? Her last few book series have been total weak sauce, with overly eager and submissive women and the men are mafia...lite. These Scottish mafia books lack the heat, tension, and depth of her Russian bratva books. It's like the moment she stepped foot in the European isles, she lost her edge.

Utterly disappointed in the last two mafia series.

First things first, I loved this book. It’s everything you expect from a Jane Henry mafia book. Bryn comes from a dark world, but in some ways has been sheltered and still has her hopefulness. Mac appears to be more hardened and only out for revenge. I have to say I really wasn’t sure I liked the premise for this book. It doesn’t seem to fit the family’s values. I know they are mafia and do bad things, and that Mac’s sister had been hurt by Bryn’s father.... But, it seems to me that usually they keep the innocent women and children out of it. I think it was just a plot device to get the two of them together, but it did not sit well with me because even though they are mafia, they are not “bad” and this is not a dark book . That being said, I still really enjoyed this book. I adored Bryn. And I liked how Mac developed over the course of the book. I definitely recommend!

I think that I know who the author in the book is. LOLOL. And who their spy was. Yay me. LOLOLOL.

I think that Mac is really a good man. He is very protective of his family and he wants to have his retribution so that no one messes with them again. I mean, yeah, Mafia, but it's also let me take care of my family kind of thing. You can also see how his family matters when he bought his mother her favorite biscuits.

I am really sorry for Bryn. She just has to deal with so much from her father. She really does try to have her life fixed up, but her dad just won't let her. He needs to take a long walk off a short pier.

Mac is the second book in the Mountain Men series. It could be read as a stand alone, but it is richer if you read the series in order. Mac knows everything about the lovely Bryn, the most important fact being that she’s his clan’s greatest enemy’s daughter. The one thing he does not expect is the connection he feels with her. But with both of them hiding some major secrets, will their relationship based on lies find solid ground to survive danger, betrayal, and possible death?

Oh my goodness, this book was fantastic! Mac and Bryn absolutely stole my attention, my sleep, and ultimately pieces of my heart. I was completely enthralled by this story, right from the very first page and I stayed up way too late to finish this book! There are so many secrets between the two of these characters and I loved that while both Mac and Bryn were supposed to bring the other down, neither were willing to hurt each other. Bryn has such a big heart. She craved attention, but wasn’t a brat. She wanted to prove herself and be independent. And I loved that she wasn’t afraid of Mac’s harsher edges and moving fast with him. Mac is loyal, strong, and protective. Possessive, naturally, too. I liked how dominant he was, yet he showed her some of his vulnerable sides, too. There’s definitely a connection you can feel from the first between them, that’s steamy and dreamy, and I loved their dynamics. I found my heart beating fast a lot with this book, due to their secrets and what wondering what would happen when all is revealed and how they were going to figure things out to keep each other, and their love, safe. I enjoyed this book! Prepare yourself for a wild adventure of lust, danger, secrets, and fighting for love!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "MAC" Jane Henry you never disappoint with the stories you write about Hot Alpha Mafia Mountain Men & their loyalties, trust, protectiveness, the women are the heart & soul of their families.
Mac sets out to seduce Bryn Aitken's & destroy her as revenge against Banner Aitken her father for what he did to his sister Paisley it's a promise he made to his Clan.
Bryn hates her father & her brother is just as evil he is she had her own business in town she say she working as a seamstress at their but its actually hers she designs all the clothes a way to have something if her own & get away from her father.
Banner finds out what's she done so as punishment he's going to make her marry into another Mafia family as an alliance she says no he then tells she a second option meet Mac seduce him, get info on his family business then destroy him.
Both Bryn & Mac have ulterior motives for being with each other but they didn't expect it turn into something else entirely like falling for each other their chemistry is scorching hot together I really like her personality & Mac is just swoon worthy.
I definitely recommend to get this book you'll love all the characters especially the woman Nan is a hoot, Flora is the matriarch, Islan & Paisley really make this story interesting all their talk about the romance books is funny.
I can't wait for the next book Tate & Fran's" story his hunt for the housekeeper Aisla that ran after Mac found her with a notebook full of interesting tidbits on the family & the mystery behind who the author is of the books. PHENOMINAL READ!!!!!

Mac Cowen the youngest son of the Cowen Clan is looking for vengeance for a wrong done to his family and his little sister. He has a plan and is ready to put it into effect. The woman he wants to get close to is the daughter of their rivals, the Aitkens family.

Bryn Aitken is not a fan of her father or brother. She knows that she and her sisters have always been considered pawns in the family, so she has been planning to set herself up to be able to survive on her own and separate from her family at the earliest chance she can get.

I love Mac. He’s a man with a plan, but then his plan gets blown to bits by the beautiful Bryn when he gets to know her. For a man that had no plans to marry or have a family, his life as he knows it will be turned upside down by one beautiful, independent, sassy woman that is trying to survive her life with a family that has no love or care for her. The Cowen Clan has a spy amongst them, and they are trying to figure out who that might be. When they get close, or think they are close to uncovering the spy, the person will slip out of their hands and hide away. Now they have a lot of speculation and a notebook, but no one to answer for any of it. I give this story a 5-star review and am so looking forward to Tate’s story. It should be just as hot and crazy as the other two have been. Gotta love the Scottish Mafia, and these deliciously hot men created in Jane Henry’s mind.

Mac
Mountain Men #2
By: Jane Henry
Narrated by: Michael Pierce

Mac has to be one of the broodiest heroes Jane Henry has written. I think that is what is so attractive about him. After meeting him in Leith, I was very excited to see his story was next, and he does not disappoint! Mac does what he needs to avenge his family. Wooing the enemies daughter and winning her trust should be a piece of cake. But falling for her was not in the cards. Bryn is given a mission by her father. Win the heart of Mac, so he can infiltrate and take out the Cowen Clan. Little does she know how difficult this task is going to be. And our story takes off. Talk about pulling you into a story and not letting go! I love this Scottish mafia spin off of the Dangerous Doms. Bryn is feisty, and smart. I love that she is ambitious in her own right and knows what she wants. Mac is dark and dangerous, and he swoon worthy! His protectiveness is like no other, and he won my heart. The suspense and excitement builds in this one and when it explodes, you just don't see it coming! I loved the surprise! This is one of my favorites of Jane's and I have listened to them all. It's excellent!

Michael Pierce is perfect for the Scottish accent. But not only does he pull that off, but we get Irish, American and little Italian too! He is very talented, easily distinguishes his voices and creates the dangerous atmosphere needed for this story. I enjoy his narrations and this one is no exception!

A Phenomenal Story with Love, Family, & Revenge

Jane Henry’s Mac is a phenomenal story. It gave me all the feels. The story takes us back to the mountains of Scotland for Leith’s brother’s story. The Cowen Clan are part of the Scottish Mafia. Their enemy is the Aitkens Clan.

Mac and his brothers want to get revenge on the Aikens Clan. Mac decides to use Bryn Aikens to accomplish revenge against her father. He is going to charm and seduce Bryn. Mac is all alpha, possessive, and protective.

Bryn Aikens has her own dressmaker shop and is trying to keep it hidden from her father. He discovers and gives Bryn an ultimatum. She has to either seduce Mac & spy on the Cowen Clan or he will marry her off to a member of another clan. She just wants to live a quiet and peaceful life away from her father and family.

Mac and Bryn have incredible chemistry and playful banter. Mac gets all domineering and bossy, but Bryn loves it. They both are very attracted to each other. Can they follow through with what their families expect of them? Will they choose love or family?

Mac A Scottish Mafia Romance (Mountain Men) is a well written story with unique characters that will captivate you from the start. It has romance, suspense, family, danger, enemy to lover, steamy scenes, twists and turns, alpha male, vengeance, all the emotions, and love. I highly recommend this story.

'Mac' is Jane Henry's second book in her "Mountain Men" series and the storyline just gets better, the plot becomes thicker, and the chemistry becomes hotter in this one. If you've been following along then you know the Aitkens family and the Cowen Clan have been bitter rivals for decades. Because of a kidnapping of Paisley Cowen by the Aitkens family and claim a marriage agreement had previously been made but when asked to prove the promise Banner Aitken failed to do so. Mac has decided now is the time to exact revenge for their family. The plan? To seduce Bryn Aitkens and use the situation to their advantage. Which might've worked but you know that saying about "the best laid plans of mice and men"? Well, you see Bryn Aitkens hates her family and has bought and opened her own little dress shop, where she creates and sews her own designs, unbeknownst to her father. When he does, he uses his intimidation, guilt, and low opinion of her to give her a choice for disappointing and betraying him. She can either marry his choice to make a beneficial alliance OR she had seduce Mac Cowen and ultimately destroy him. Can you imagine? The worst part, or best depending on which side of the coin you're looking at, is the unbridled chemistry Mac and Bryn have. Just WOW!!! If you're like me, you're going to absolutely love these two and shout it from the rooftops.

Mac and Bryn both have ulterior motives when they start their love affair. Mac wants revenge for his sister being kidnapped by the Aikens clan which is led by Bryn's father. Bryn's father has given her an ultimatum, either seduce Mac Cowen or he will marry her off to a high-ranking member of another clan. Bryn has been trying to get a business going without her father's knowledge and she finally had a great commission for a wedding dress and dresses for the wedding party. Unfortunately, her father has found her out and considers it to be disloyalty because she hid it from him. Now she has finally met a man she likes and her father is going to ruin her chances. Mac treats her well and is protective of her. He will also give her the discipline she craves. She also craves the close family that Mac has and wants to be part of it. What's going to happen when he finds out that her father sent her to spy?

Mac can't believe how he has fallen for his mark. Bryn is perfect for him and he dreads what will happen to their relationship when she finds out what his plans are for her. Will she be able to forgive him when it is all over?

I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

The Cowen Clan is out to right a wrong done to them.
Revenge for what was done to their sister by the Atikens Clan.
It’s up to Mac to extract their vengeance.
What better way than to seduce and destroy the daughter of their enemy.
Bryn is so sweet and just wants to live a peaceful life.
Her dreams are uncomplicated and simple.
Open her own business as a designer and seamstress and having a loving family.
But it’s not to be because her father has other sinister plans for her.
I loved Bryn for her beautiful heart and her goodness.
Growing up in a hateful home may have effected her spiritually and emotionally.
But it never touched her in the way she treats others.
She’s kind and sweet, she’s tough but so caring.
Mac sets his plan into motion.
But as he really gets to know Bryn he’s saddened about what he has to do.
His loyalty of doing right by his family and his growing feelings for Bryn has him conflicted.
Love vs. Family how will they choose?
Mac and Bryn’s connection is definitely there.
Their attraction and passion for each other is hot.
The dominant Mac brings out the naughty side of Bryn which just makes their lust just that more sexy.
Along with the intrigue and drama happening makes this story a definite pager turner!

Throughly enjoy this book cannot wait to read rest of series

I'm glad I stumble upon this book. What a read!

This book is really an adult book with lots and I do mean LOTS of sexual content. Just so readers are aware.

I really enjoy reading about Bryn and Mac story. In the beginning I really thought she was going to be one of those easy damsel in destress. You know the one that falls for the prince so quickly and believes everything they say and etc.

But oh no, not little Bryn. She definitely have a mind of her own and even makes big decisions that effects both of them.

Mac is very charming and loyal to the T. I really enjoy how alpha he really comes off. He is someone who when push comes to shove will stand by his word.

These two story made it worth it to began this series. I was having a hard time trying to figure out if I should go back and start from the beginning. Since I'm kind of missing out on some info. ( this is not the first book of the series ). But just read the preview for the next book, Mac older brother Tate, I'm more curious to find out qhats going on between Tate and Fran. Esp since Fran is very fiesty and Tate looks like his hands will be full with her.

Mac and Bryn

This is the latest in the Mountain Man Series. Mac is tasked with getting even with the Aitkens Clan for trying to kidnap their sister. He comes up with a plan to seduce Aitkens youngest daughter, Bryn, and make her believe he loves her. Bryn has been shielded from most clan business and has been abused by her parents and brother and very alone. Mac has been following Bryn for a year and found her likes and weaknesses. He’s determined to get vengeance for is clan. Bryn is summoned by her father on the day of her first date with Mac that she has two choices, marry a mean older man or seduce Mac and spy on the Cowen Clan. She agrees to be a spy but will secretly buy time to make a better plan. There is lots and lots of hot dominant scenes and lots and lots of angst and woe is me by both of these two not wanting to do what their family demands and trying to decide if they love each other or not (I seriously got tired of the angst but loved the hot scenes). There were inconsistencies with the timeline and a few other things but I loved Mac and had to finish. The book is double spaced so it’s not really that big of a book, so don’t let that discourage you. It will go fast.

I was quickly snared by this book by Jane Henry. As Usual, she
handles the complexity of the characters with ease. This book
focuses on the instant attraction between Mac Cowen and Bryn
Aitkens. But can a relationship built on lies survive?

Mac was out for revenge against the Aitkens family and Bryn was
his target. He went fishing and caught her hook, line, and sinker.
But would his plan backfire.Could he live with the consequences.

Bryn was finally living the life that she always dreamed of until her
controlling father stepped in with his cold hearted agenda.Bryn did
not deserve to have to pay for the sins of her father.

Mac was the entire package. So protective, stern and kinky as hell.Bryn
needed Mac to push her.She gave him control. She surrender to him.

The outcome of their relationship was not difficult to predict, but how I
enjoyed the chase. I loved the level of angst in this story as both characters
struggled with their emotions. Their connection reflected so much more
than what was on the surface. The women of the clan did not hesitate to
voice their opinions, and Nan made me chuckle. At the heart of it, this was
a perfect love story .

This is the second book of A Scottish Mafia Romance series, and it reads as a stand-alone.
In the story Mac Cowen, the youngest son of the Cowen Clan has set up a plan to right a wrong done to his sister by a rival mafia family, the Atikens Clan. He has decided he will seduce and destroy the daughter of the enemy.
Bryn Atikens is sweet and just wants to live a peaceful life away from her family. On her own she opens her own designer business and struggles as a seamstress. Unfortunately, her plans are put aside when her father gives her an ultimatum – she must spy on the Cowans and report back to him.

As Mac sets his plan into motion, he finds he is attracted to Bryn. His loyalty to his family as well as keeping his word is becoming conflicted by his growing feelings for Bryn.

The choice between Love or Family – which will Mac choose? Which will Bryn choose? The twists and turns, the suspense, the steamy sex scenes, and the well-developed characters makes this a new favorite book.

Another good read

This author consistently delivers engaging and entertaining stories, and that includes this one.

Bryn, unfortunately, gets herself into trouble when she chooses to have some independence. As we all know, that's a big "no-no" in this world. She knows it too! Bad girl...😉

I enjoyed the chemistry between these two characters and seeing how they would figure out how to get to their HEA. Both of them lying, both of them in love with the other.

This is a very steamy read, with an Alpha man who enjoys control. And a woman who enjoys being controlled and protected. If you are sensitive to this, then this series is not for you.

I appreciate this author's creativity and craftsmanship with all her works. I always enjoy reading the crossover of characters (Keenan and his wife are in here) from other series I have already enjoyed! Her stories are easy to read and enjoy.

I recommend reading this series as well as her numerous other books and series.

I loved Mac and Bryn! Their relationship was built on lies and deceit from both of them. Bryn was only suppose to be a means to an end for Mac, a way to take her father down for what he did to the Cowen clan. But the more time he spends with her and gets to know her, he starts feeling guilty and knows he could easily love her. But she’s also carrying some secrets too! Bryn’s father put her in an impossible and dangerous situation. Only difference is she never had any intention on following through with what her father wanted. Her heart was so good and she was truly innocent of the world she came from. All she wanted was independence and some freedom.
This book was fantastic! And the chemistry between these two was hot. Right from the start they were hot and spicy!
We also get a little more info into the those hot and steamy romance novels the women read and who just might be the ghost writer behind them! I have my suspicions that the author is a lot closer to the family than anyone suspects!

This has been a wonderful read, highly addictive
This was a much awaited second book in the series and I must say that this Scottish Mafia read was simply wonderful from the time I started reading I was not able to put this book down until I reached the last page.
Bryn Aikens is the daughter of his enemy and they are going to pay for the damage and harm caused and vengeance will be seen to be done for his families name, this has eaten him up like a rage and Mac can never be viewed a weak his is “Firm, Fair and when needed as Fatal as a bullet to the head!!
He sets out to get his revenge through Brynn Aitkens by charming her and dating her, then when he has her in the palm of his hand the Cowen Clan will see that he will ruin her and they will know his wrath.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

This is the 2nd book in the Dark Scottish Mafia series, and it’s Mac’s story. He’s the youngest of the Cowen Clan, the Clan Warlord, making deals, building alliances and protecting his family. When he comes up with a plan for revenge against the Aitken’s Clan, he sets it in motion and sets his sites on their youngest daughter, Bryn. All she wants to do is run her shop (in secret) and try to get away from her family. She is completely taken with Mac when they meet, and horrified when her father wants her to betray him. Both are in a precarious situation because both are totally consumed with feelings (and some seriously hot intense sexy times) that neither were expecting. They both fight & deal with danger for each other. I was totally screaming for them to be free to be together!! They are sizzling hot, and so sexy together. Not to mention romantic. Loved them 😍. Can’t wait for more from this Clan

This book sucks you in right from the start which is Ms. Henry's superpower. Mac is out for revenge and is willing to do what it takes to get it. Bryn is trying to live life on her own terms until her father crushes her dreams with his own plans. Mac wants revenge on Bryn's family and Bryn's father wants information on the Cowen clan making Bryn the pawn in his game. Can a relationship started on lies survive? Will Mac go through with his quest for vengeance or will he realize the treasure that he has in Bryn? You really need to read this AMAZING book and go on their journey with them. It was so beautifully written and honest in it's emotions. Ms. Henry truly has a gift for storytelling and giving us such dynamic and complex characters that we feel such a range of emotions for. I can't wait to read the next book from this talented author! I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.

Mac and Bryn’s story is filled with deception, secrets, and a lot of chemistry! However, we couldn’t expect any less because these Scottish Mountain Men have a way with their women and when they have their eyes set on something they will do anything to get them. Bryn is technically the enemy so she knows the workings of the mafia life but her father has never valued her or her wants/needs! She is happy to have Mac in her life and she will do anything to keep him. She loves his family and they have welcomed her with open arms.

There are many secrets between them because they are both fighting their feelings and they want to make sure they find their way because their love is stronger than whatever they have thrown their way! You will love this story as much as the other Mountain Men and the McCarthy Clan stories as well. Tate’s story is next and I know it is going to be just as spicy and romantic! Happy Reading!

I LOVE this series almost as much as I loved those Dangerous Doms. Mac Cowen, the youngest son of the Cowen Clan, has decided to make the daughter of their enemy, Bryn Atikens, pay for her father's sin. He will seduce her and dump her, breaking her heart. Little does Mac know that Bryn has been ordered by her father to seduce Mac, find out his families secrets, and ultimately betray him. Neither of them knew how their chemistry, intense attraction, and passion would ignite into something they never saw coming. Now they need to figure out how to extract themselves from these deceptions and have a forever together. I loved the steam, the twists, and turns. This book was a page turner from start to finish. Great addition to the Mountain Men Series by one of my favorite authors Jane Henry.

I received an ARC for this book and I'm happy to leave this honest review.
