Fueled by dark chocolate and even darker coffee, USA Today bestselling author Jane Henry writes what she loves to read – character-driven, unputdownable romance featuring dominant alpha males and the powerful heroines who bring them to their knees. She’s believed in the power of love and romance since Belle won over the beast, and finally decided to write love stories of her own.
I made a guess about who the author of the books in the book was, and I was mostly right, so I'm glad I was right.
I like Fran. I think that she's very clever and she's quick. I like how she is able to put things together when she doesn't necessarily have all the information. I think that she never meant to hurt anything or anyone, but she just didn't necessarily think through her choices.
I think that Tate is a good man. He just wants to take care of his family. I don't think he's quite as agile as Fran, but that isn't a bad thing. When she shows him her process, he's like oh yeah, that makes sense. It isn't that he's stupid, it's that they have different brains. They complement each other I think.
I think Jane Henry is one of the reason I love mafia books so much. I'm always waiting for the next one and now we have Tate and Fran's story. He's wanted her for awhile but didn't do anything because she was going to be married..........until she caught her soon to be husband with another woman. Even so, he's stayed away but kept an eye on her. When his brother Leith tells him to find out who is writing books that seem to be about their family, he takes on the job never realizing what he finds out will come as a shock to him and his family. There is danger, drama and mystery as the Cowens try to figure out who is after them. Does Fran know something they don't know? And can Tate make her confess what she knows? Loved this book so much and the ending was a twist I NEVER saw coming!!! What? You think I'm gonna tell you the twist? LOL Nope, get the book and find out for yourself!!
This is the third in Ms. Henry's series about members of a Scottish mafia family and the women they love. Because so many characters and the main line of action began in previous books (and previous series), I hesitate to call this a standalone.
Here, we get middle brother Tate and his second-chance romance with Fran, a woman he's known since childhood and has always cared for (it isn't clear why the two never followed through on their mutual attraction before this). But, Fran is keeping a very big secret from him -- one that could potentially harm his entire family...
I really wanted to like this more than I did because I enjoyed Fran's wit, intelligence, and strength. But, this author's primary weaknesses are plot development and continuity; depending on the book, these may or may not matter. Unfortunately, given how much time was devoted to very intricate plot points (indeed, they overshadowed the actual relationship), they were glaringly obvious here. Here are just a few examples: Fran sustains injuries to her head and arm serious enough that she has to take weeks off work, yet they don't prevent her from using her arm to do everything and to have copious amounts of energetic sex. At one point, she mentions that her biggest motivation for . It's never clear why she and Tate .
Because so much time was spent on the never-ending threats to the family, I never felt we got to know Tate and Fran as a couple -- indeed, he often just seemed along for the ride. Because of this, the most interesting aspects of the book -- -- unfortunately took place off-page and were merely recounted to us. I hope at some point that we get stories devoted to them.
3 stars. There was one twist I didn't see coming. I also enjoyed the self-reflexivity, which ultimately hints at what Ms. Henry's next project is. I believe that she will return to this world at some point, however, since a couple of lines of action remain open and/or need more development since they're handled in a very rushed and abrupt manner here.
I’D DEFINITELY INVESTIGATE THAT FURTHER IF I WERE YOU
Once again, Ms. Jane Henry takes this reader on an emotional and sometimes edge-of-your-seat journey. While this is another mafia romance series, it is fresh and has heart and soul to the characters. The story takes place in Scotland, in the highlands near Inverness. Like their Irish friends, the Cowan Clan has both allies, the McCarthy Clan, their enemies, the Aitken Clan, and the Welsh.
The story is a roller-coaster ride of mystery, suspense, deceit, plotting, danger, threats, life and death, and even romance. Leith instructs Tate to find the author of the Clan Chronicles, and when she is found, it answers some questions and opens the door to so many more. The story is intense, the characters intriguing, the plot kept the pages turning, and by the end—WOW.
“Fierce loyalty, steadfast protection, the ties of family and friends that are near unbreakable.”
Fran has been best mates with Cowen sisters, Islan and Paisley. She is one of the few outsiders even allowed to come to the Cowen compound in the Highlands. The story will begin with a scream that will send Tate running to find the girls all sledding and witness Fran and Byrn losing control and crashing into a tree where Fran is injured. A night in the Cowen house, then a trip into town, will be the undoing of so much hard work.
“Poor writer of the Clan Chronicles—she’ll have to take a sabbatical, won’t she?”
I love the chemistry between Tate and Fran—these two have each secretly had feelings for one another but never acted on them. Now, fate has brought them together—even if it is under trying circumstances. They must work together to try and undo the damage, protect those they love, and survive this ordeal.
“I think sometimes I just get a little jealous. I didn’t have what you all have. I think that sometimes you take it for granted.”
“You’ve always had a place here. And if I have anything to do about it, you still will.”
“It doesn’t matter that I didn’t intend to hurt his family. I’ve been a danger to them, and now I’ll pay the price.”
The story has the good, the bad, and the ugly. Protection comes with a sudden marriage, a mysterious lover, a threat to the Cowen family and the McCarthy family. The story takes on life and death danger, kidnapping, attempted murder, injured people, and following a trail that leads to a shocking surprise. The story is a page-turner with just the perfect amount of dominance, submission, discipline, and romance.
“I can’t keep up with these emotions. Terror and hope, fear and excitement, my heart squeezes then drops then stutters into a rhythm like an Irish step dancer.”
“No matter what happens, Tate. Know that I love you.”
While the story has a resolution—and I won’t call it a cliffhanger—it does come with some surprises, leading me to believe the Cowen saga is far from over.
I have been dying to read Tate’s story and I’m so glad that I did! Oh man, it was everything I wanted and so much more. I learned so many things about the Cowen clan in this book than I ever expected to. I have been waiting for Fran and Tate to get together, ever since they teamed up to help look for Caristina in the first book. I knew something was going to brew between them! Fran did irk me a little but after learning what she has went through in her life, I kind of understood where she was coming from. Helped that she wanted to redeem herself and stop lying as if it was an every day normal thing to do. I like her honesty with lying too, when she tells Tate that she is taking a minute to answer him since it’s first reaction for her to lie and she doesn’t want to do that anymore. That took a lot of strength to admit. Tate was so perfect for her. He gave her the grounding, support and discipline that she needed to have. She might not have known Tate was what she needed but it became very clear early on that she did. I was worried with some of the decisions that Tate was making but then everything went the way it was supposed to, just like he thought and needed it to protect Fran. I didn’t even realize that the relationship was building between them so rapidly until I was so far into the book. It just hooked me and kept me craving more about what was going to happen between the two of them. I had a hard time putting it down to even go to bed! Really hope the next one is about who I think it is because I’m literally dying right now wondering if I’m right! That ending was a hell of a shock and was not something that I was planning to see happen, it was INSANE! I guess what I’m getting at is that you should definitely download this book, like now. Will have you hooked and captivated with just a few words, I promise it is so worth it!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "TATE" WOW!!!!! BUCKLE UP for one amazing intense rollercoaster ride, action, intrigue, suspense, secrets, lies, betrayal, spys, angst, humor, kidnapping, hot steamy scenes, surprising twists surprising twists you didn't see coming. Clan Chronicle Romance books are causing major problems for the Cowen Mafia Family the stories to close to their reality they have a spy in their midst & Tate's been tasked to find out who the writer is. Fran injured herself sledding down the mountain with Islan, Paisley, Cairstina & has to stay at the mansion until she recovers Tate has taken on looking after her this when he finds out a few of her secrets she been hiding. Tate & Fran are hilarious together she is so feisty, sassy, he calls her a Brat, ends up punishing her which she loves because she always fantasied being with him they have great chemistry together. Tate & Fran go to Dublin to see Keenan McCarthy an ally to help with Walsh & Aitken Mafia rivals there's so much more going than just the Chronicle Romance books giving away secrets now Interpol is involved. Islan has been seeing Kane a mystery man trying to get close to Cowen Clani has he been using her or protecting her so much needs answering you have to get this excellently written book to find out with a surprise twist you didn't coming at the end. I definitely recommend to get this book I hope Islan & Kane get their own story there others that need their owns story well so there has to be more more Cowen Clan books.
'Tate' is Jane Henry's third book in her "Mountain Men" series and it doesn't disappoint!! From the time she announces a new Cowen family book is releasing until it finally comes out, my stomach has butterflies of anticipation. If you've been following the series then you know Leith has taken the girls' concern about the mafia chronicles seriously. So serious, in fact, he's put Tate in charge of finding the author and bringing her to the family to be interrogated and punished. We've also been led to believe that Tate has had more than "brotherly" feelings for Fran for some time. Even though, other than a brief period where they dated, he's never acted on those feelings. Fran on the other hand has grown up around the Cowen family. Where her friends were protected from harm and had strict rules and guidelines, Fran was left to her own devices, running the streets and getting into all kinds of mischief. And she's always had a crush on one of the Cowen brothers. As each of them has gotten married, it became Tate's turn to become the leader in her daydreams. With a romantic heart and a penchant for discipline, Fran finds herself in a world she's been craving and nervous to enter. Jane Henry always makes me feel like I'm right there in the middle of whatever she's writing. There's nothing to not love about her characters. And the anticipation? Yes, just like any other story she has written, the anticipation kept me on the edge of my seat, the excitement kept my heartbeat racing and the chemistry had me turning up the AC.
I do a happy dance anytime Ms. Henry released a new book that is the Cowen family saga. I am in awe of the how author maintains the intensity that is filled with danger, mystery, secrets, romance, drama, and so much more.
Tate was given the task of finding the author responsible for the chronicles that are eerily similar to the Cowen family. Leith is more convinced than ever that the family need to stop any further books from being released, but WOW, does it open a Pandora's box. The person responsible will be found, held accountable, and punished.
Stubborn was Fran’s middle name, and boy did she live up to it. She was feisty and dreamed of having someone to care for her, but was she ready for Tate in all of his alpha glory. The air crackled when these pairs were together. Raw passion consumed them, but they still had to solve the problems that plagued the family.
It would not be a Cowen mafia themed story without the inclusion of a surprise marriage, retribution, punishment, protective men and their much-loved women.Expect secrets to be revealed ,and forgiveness given. This storyline oozed substance with its exciting build up plus a pace and intensity that continues throughout the book.
Ms. Henry knows how to deliver a mafia book full of delicious scenes time and time again. Her stories are emotionally complex, with a vivid detailed plot.
Tate is the third book of A Scottish Mafia Romance (Mountain Men series), and it reads as a stand-alone. It is always better to read the other two books - as most of the previous characters intertwines with this story. Yes, it is another mafia story and it is fantastic! Ms. Henry has a way to engage the readers and keep their emotions rolling with the characters and the storyline and this Scottish mafia romance takes place in Scotland. Tate – A strong, determined, dominate man. He has been given the job of finding the author of “The Clan Chronicles,” by his brother and head of the clan. This author knows way too much about the family and their secrets. A topic that should not be out for the public to see. Fran – is best friends with Cowan sisters. She is intelligent, sassy, and stubborn. She is also I of the few people from the “outside world” the clan allows in and treats as one of their own. This story pulls the reader in from the first chapter to the last page, it is full of twist and turns. Will the family survive once they know who the author is? Will love overcome all obstacles?
Tate is number 3 in the Mountain Men series that Jane Henry has brought us. And I think Tate has become my favorite brother. He is fearless, alpha, compassionate, hot, and so yummy that you want him to become yours... But at last, he is not and will still be only a book boyfriend.
Fran has put everyone at risk with her decisions that she has made. I love Fran as a character but she is at times seems very young. For everything that she has seen and I am sure heard she made some very bad chooses and Tate is the man, she needs in her life to keep her in line.
Tate- as a story is wonderfully charged and will keep you going to the very end. To be honest I can't wait to see where Jane takes us next. I want to see what surprises we get from her and the Mountain crew we have come to love!
Oh my goodness!!!! So many questions are answered in this book!!!! I don't think I have squealed or cried so much while reading a Jane Henry book till Tate.
I'm gonna try my hardest to give you feels on this one, without giving too much away.
Tate is given the task of finding the author of the Clan Chronicles. These books are HOT but are giving way to much Clan info away and they are not happy.
Fran is the girls best friend and someone who knows a lot about the Clan...maybe more than she's supposed to.
A head injury and a sneaky suspicion has brought these two together and WOW!!!! Tate is a man who means business but he can be so gooey and attentive. He's affection for Fran makes more than your heart beat 😏. Fran truly amazed me, that girl is better than the FBI!
And there is a surprise towards the end...ugly crying might have happened 😭❤️.
Oh wow wow wow wow wow. This book made me so unbelievably happy. I almost jumped out of the best and Feist pumped the air. Had it not been for waking the household I would have. Thank you Jane Henry for making my month. I hope to see more from the Cowen Clan.
Another wonderful addition to the Cowan Clan, a great read Once again, a simply fantastic and riveting read that had everything I have come to expect from this wonderful author and I am sure that you will feel exactly the same on reading. Tate is the third oldest brother in the Cowan clan and he is also responsible for keeping people in line as and when needed, also to ensure that others know that the clan is not someone to be messed with otherwise Tate will dish out repercussions appropriate to the crime etc..
Fran has been a friend to his two sisters since they were young and now she is a woman that he is drawn too for every reason you are able to imagine she is tenacious, full of attitude and spunk and is not afraid to stand up to whoever and for whatever she believes in. There is an ongoing question which seems to be growing in importance and that is who is writing the books about their clan and how are they gaining access to insider information and also what will happen when they find out who it is that is in the know. The chemistry between Tate and Fran is simply wonderful and all the time she is so hard trying to not show her attraction to this dominant and seriously sexy Scottish male and yet her heart is trying to fight her decisions. I must say that I think the slow build in this book was simply wonderful and it had me riveted from the very start of the book till the final page. You too will be kept guessing and I assure you that like me you will be waiting for the next book in this great series. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Tate has been tasked with finding the spy among the Cowen Clan. The family is in danger and it’s up to him to figure out who the spy is and neutralize them. When this hunt takes him to Ireland and the McCarthy Clan help him to rescue two family members, secrets will be revealed.
Fran has been friends with the Cowen sisters for a long time and has spent a lot of time with them and the family. It’s the only place she has really felt as if she were cared for and fit in. She’s had a crush on Tate since she was a young teen and the attraction has not waned, even after she married a Welshman.
I loved this book. It was action packed, intriguing, funny, and scary all wrapped into one book. I love the characters in the Cowen Clan books and Tate and Fran were great in this book. Fran is sassy, independent, beautiful, and caring. She has been deceived more than once by her ex and when secrets are revealed, she finds more deception that she was blind to. She’s been hurt so much in her life and has felt like she has never belonged anywhere, or that she was cared about, but the Cowen’s have always showed her that she was welcome. When she is injured, that becomes very evident to her when they take her in and care for her. Tate has been feeling lost, and restless, but with this the assignment he has been given by Leith, his restlessness seems to be put aside and his dangerous side comes out, especially when he has to protect Fran. I love Jane Henry’s books and Tate was another great book in her repertoire. I can’t wait to read more in this series and get more insight into the Cowen Clan, and hopefully more of the Clan Chronicles. I give this story a 5-star review and will be looking for more of Ms. Henry’s books to read.
Nevermind that this series is addictive, this story is the most intense of the 3!!
As it ended for Tate in book 2 (Mac), he was on the hunt for someone. It was pretty clear how things were going to happen when he found that person. Until...it wasn't that simple! (And this is one of the reasons I really enjoy this author's works.)
I literally couldn't stop turning the pages, trying to get into the place where I got some answers!! There is a lot of things going on in this world, lots of character drama and "moving parts" to this storyline. Honestly, some of the situations I figured out (mostly), but a couple character's stories surprised me. And that was great!!
Fran and Tate are really entertaining and the steamy chemistry between them is done well. Since this is the end of this series, the HEA for (almost) everyone...IYKYK...was wonderful.
The absolute best way to enjoy this series is to have already enjoyed the Dangerous Doms series, beginning with Keenan. These characters are important in this series, and knowing them makes the read better. I know what you are saying..."but that's a lot of reading." It's not a have-to, but worth your time.
I will miss these characters. I really enjoyed this story and series. This author consistently provides engaging and entertaining stories that are steamy, suspenseful and easy to enjoy. In case I haven't been clear enough 😄, I recommend this book and series, and encourage you to read the author's numerous other works.
Tate Mountain Men 3 By: Jane Henry Narrated by: Michael Pierce
These mountain men are all a woman could ask for. Alpha, protective, loving, but when they are angry, beware! Fran knows this, and she holds a secret that could destroy the clan and the family she has woven herself into. When Tate becomes aware of it, she isn't sure whether to come clean or lie! Tate has been attracted for Fran forever, and now he has decisions to make. Keep her safe or keep the clan safe! What should he do? Jane Henry has had this thread woven into the first two books of the series, always making me wonder the outcome, and now it all makes perfect sense! I love her suspense filled excitement with clashing clans/mafias as things come to a head. But what really stands out for me are the characters! Tate is fantastic. While I thought Mac was going to be my favorite, Tate, has overtaken the spot and filled it with that feeling of a protective, loving hug. Teddy bear on the inside(except when angry) he will do anything to keep his loved ones safe. Fran too comes to the forefront of heroine. Her conscience guides her and I love it. She is amazing. Add in a totally unpredictable surprise at the end, and I was a happy listener!
Michael Pierce continues his fabulous Scottish accent with this series. I love him, and his ability to switch between character. Whether male or female, we know exactly who is speaking, even if someone from a previous story. He is wonderful and a pleasure to listen to.
Now this was an excellent way to end the series! And what a surprise revelation at the end. I had wonders throughout the series if Tavish was really dead, but didn’t think much about it. As far as the author of the Clan Chronicles, I had originally guessed right back in book 1, but then had my doubts in book 2, and by the end wondered if Paisley had something to do with it. But I was right in the beginning, but never imagined how far Fran went to get her info. I liked her, but I also felt she was incredibly naive and selfish. She never thought about the dangers she was putting everyone in by writing her books. I know she never had bad intentions, but she made dumb choices. I loved Tate. He was so devoted to his family, but his feelings for Fran were so strong and I loved how he wanted to protected her even knowing the dangers she brought to his family. My only complaint is I felt there were a few things left unaddressed… I’d like to know why after Tavish regained his memory why he never contacted his family. I felt for such a huge revelation it was about him being alive, there should have been more discussed in the book. And also I’m left wondering about Kane and Islan. I can only hope that maybe there’s a story for them as well coming at some point.
The story arc concerning the identity of the writer of the ‘Clan Chronicles’ (several steamy romance novels with eerie similarities to the Cowen Clan) which began in the first book, becomes the focus of this story. Given that other clans are taking notice and accepting that the facts within are accurate, finding and punishing the author becomes a top priority for Tate. Even more so now, when hostilities between the clans is at an all time high.
The story unfolds with plenty of twists and turns, some suspense and mystery. There isn’t the usual clan action we’ve seen in prior books however, but there is some brutality. It’s not a particularly dark romance either. There are several explicit encounters though, featuring a domineering male with an inclination for spanking – as we’ve come to associate with these particular Scottish mountain men. I received an Advance Reader Copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the third book in the Mountain Men series and I'm only just getting to it now. Unfortunately I found this book very underwhelming. I wanted to like Tate and Fran much more than I actually did and ended up liking them better separately than I did together. There is an overreaching story arc from previous books which finalises in this story, so while it could be read as a standalone, it's probably much easier understood if you're familiar with the other books. Fran is full of snark and sass but it comes off as being like a friend who thinks they're much funnier than they are. There are plot lines that don't make sense and/or don't go anywhere, events which seem to come out of thin air which aren't explained adequately and apart from the last third I found myself skipping whole pages and wondering why I'm bothering. I know that this author has good stories in her, and I've really enjoyed them, but this - for me- isn't one.
They knew someone was spying on them they just didn't know who it was. It had to be someone that had access in the last book they found someone who worked for them with a notebook of stuff about their family. It's up to Tate to find out who it is and punish them. But before that, he's about to tend to the one woman that has gotten under his skin. His sister's BFF, Fran she's been hurt and he wants to make sure she's okay. Fran has been a part of Tate's life one way or another, but she has secrets and they can destroy anyone she loves. Now, these two are fighting to protect not just the clan, but also Fran. She's a beautiful person who just wants to be loved. Now she's about to find out if that can happen. This book is so full of surprises and the best one is at the end. It's a shocker and it will blow you all away. *SWOON* I love these two.
Jane Henry gave us the NYC Doms, the Bratva Doms, the Irish Doms, and now the third book (and I hope not the last) of the Scottish Doms. Yes, there is a bit of a common theme, but oh my are these men panty melting. This book gives us brother Tate Cowan and his sister's friend Fran, who happens to be a writer.....writing books about the Scottish mafia, with a side of Irish mafia and Welsh mafia. And that is a problem. I love the twists and turns in the plot line, the action, the drama, and oh so many surprises. The steam is crazy from start to finish. Fran is one of the most resourceful ladies ever, maybe because she's a writer!?!. The book is fast paced and did I say steamy? I so want to see the Cowan sisters get their HEA..please!! Great read, great series, great writer. I received an arc and this is my honest review.
Jane Henry has done it again! She has written such a wonderful detailed story set among the mountains of Scotland. This one centers around the enforcer of the family TATE Cowen. He is tasked with finding who is writing and publishing books about the Dark Irish Mafia and his own Scottish Clan. Fran is the friend of the 2 sisters of the Cowen Clan. She has had a crush on Tate for as long as she remembers. She has had a rough way of things in her life that has had her make many mistakes. Can these two make a go of it? Dive into the lives of the family Cowen. It’s Emotional, raw and extremely hot with the physical effects that these two have. The twist and turns are beyond what the reader can’t see coming. I highly recommend this newest addition to the Scottish Mafia!
Another good Mountain Men book that answers some questions but as always, teases us with more so that we're intrigued for the next installment.
Tate and Fran are a great pair and the chemistry between them as they navigate the dangerous world of Clans keeps us guessing what's next. I had guessed Fran was who we've been looking for through the series but I was sad to see the end. I guess it allowed other people to become involved and open up the story which will be interesting to say the least!
I have to admit, not my favourite one in the series but that's probably because I expected a bit more from Tate and Fran. It's still great and definitely worth reading but for me, this book is more about opening up the main story for the next few books and Tate and Fran's part seemed rush and not forefront 🤔🤷♀️
The secret writer of The Clan Chronicles is finally revealed. But it’s so much more complicated and complex than just writing about the sexy clan men and their shenanigans. Danger and suspense are a big part of this book. Along with plenty of steam and sexiness. I adorned Tate. I loved how he’s so protective of his family and friends. I love that he’s caring but still in command. The perfect blend of alpha male and tender heart. Fran has made lots of mistakes. As unintentional as they are they have lead to some serious issues. She does try to make amends and right her wrongs. Fran is quick witted and knows how to get answers to questions. Tate and Fran as a couple compliment each other very well. They both fill each other’s shortcomings. They also sizzle and explode in their physical relationship. I really enjoyed this book with all its twists, turns and steaminess.
Tate has been assigned to find the spy. Someone close to the Cowan Clan has been writing books---stories based on clan lives. He takes his assignment very seriously!
Fran is a friend of the two sisters in the Cowen Clan. Islan and Paisley have been cared for and protected. Fran has been raised by a drunk, uncaring mother. In order to pay her mother’s debts, Fran began writing romance novels based on life in the Scottish highlands. Once Tate discovers the author, he must punish her until she reveals the truth. Now, he must find a way to reveal her history to his brothers. Will they accept her? Will Fran find a way to actually help the Cowan Clan?
This is an excellent story that I highly recommend.
I’m a true lover of this series and each story gets better and better! Point taken with Tate! My heart melted, I swooned and I wanted to be in the mountains. Tate may be a “brute” but there is a soft side to him as well, especially when it comes to Fran. But when he is tasked with finding the writer of stories that could hurt the Cowen Clan, he has to put his feelings aside and look for that person.
Fran is a breath of fresh air! She is witty, smart and loves her friends. She has always had a bit of a crush on Tate but could never act on it. Can she help him find this writer? These two characters have incredible chemistry and I loved the ride they took me on with this story. This is a definite must read!!
This was another five star installment in the Mountain Men series. This one finds Tate and Fran finally acting on what we've seen coming for a while. Secrets are revealed, trusts are broken, and of course it's all blended with lots of smoking hot scenes.
We've seen bits and pieces of these two character throughout the series, but it's nice to finally dig a little deeper and see what these two are made of. Fran is intelligent and independent, and despite her best attempts, just can't seem to resist the dominant Tate. Tate, like his brothers, oozes dominance, and seems to be just what Fran needs. The chemistry between these two is off the charts hot. The action is fun and the romance both sweet and hot. This one definitely leaves me looking forward to the next book
There's a spy in the Cowan Clan. Someone is writing the Clan Chronicles, a series of romance books that seem to be based on the Cowan Clan and are giving away inside secrets. Tate is assigned the task of finding the author and eliminating her. Meanwhile, Fran is injured in a sledding accident and Tate oversees her care. He has been attracted to her for some time but has not acted on it. As it turns out the author is none other than Fran! Now what can he do. Afraid to out her to his brothers, they try desperately to find a way to redeem her. Lots of tension, suspense, and surprises ensue. The characters are fantastic. Tate is the usual gorgeous, protective mountain man, and Fran is a sassy little smart mouth. Great book, great author, great series!
I know I keep saying this, but I’m really enjoying Jane Henry’s Mountain Men series. In Tate, there are so many wheels in motion that the plot and action move along quickly, as secrets are revealed, and things begin to fall into place—and I’m going to add that I’m in awe of how well Ms. Henry seamlessly did so with all the different characters/factions that have become so integral to both the Irish and Scottish families. At the same time, we have what was, unrequited love between Tate and Fran come to fruition and that’s positively delightful in all the right ways. Absolutely recommended. Seriously.
A Page-Turner with Tons of Heat, Romance, & Intrigue
Jane Henry didn’t disappoint with Tate. Another great installment in the Scottish Mafia Romance series. Like with the other Mountain Men books about the Cowen Clan, Tate and Fran’s story has intrigue, action, suspense, secrets being revealed, love, and romance. It is a well-written and captivating story with unique characters. Jane Henry’s characters are sassy, feisty, and independent women and possessive and protective alpha males who can be sweet and gentlemanly as well. Tate is another emotional story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. A must-read!
