Midnight Moon isn’t a sleepaway camp for pups. And it definitely isn’t an academy for the youth of privileged packs. It’s for adult rejects. The runts. The unwanted. The loners. So which am I? After my family died, all of the above. I suppose that makes me a perfect fit, even if I shouldn’t be. I was sent here, not only in hope of forcing my transition but also for protection from an outcast aiming to stop me from claiming my rightful spot. While it might be the best place to hide, I quickly discover I’m not invisible. The Four have pinned their eyes on me.
Despite his intimidating bark and hulking presence, the one called Bait surrenders to the pull next. I crack the wall he’s built around himself, discovering what’s hidden inside. When that roughness crumbles, I realize there’s no future without him too.
*Bait is book 3 in the Midnight Moon series, an RH PNR intended for mature readers. While set in the same world as the Marked Soul series, the Midnight Moon series can be read alone but each book must be read in numbered order.
3.5 ⭐️ I knew I would enjoy the Loch aspects of this book and I was right. I love me a virgin hero! Looking forward to the finale and seeing Elijah finally join the group
As I said this series could be a full length novel series there is so much potential.
I suspect what is going to happen with Teagan’s pack though, that seems obvious. I do like all the guys though I wish there was slightly more tension and explanation to why Loch reacted the way he did prior to this book.
Teagan was sent to Camp Midnight Moon to hide out, to maybe force her transition as well as to keep away from the outcast who would stop her from claiming her rightful spot. But she is finding it isn’t always safe here either.
This is a time for her to get to know Loch (“Bait”) better. He was the youngest. And she was sure he was the one who had stolen her suitcase containing her clothes. But he wouldn’t admit it. They were in the classroom cabin, alone. This was the day he had chosen as his birthday, because he never knew the actual date. And she wanted to get to know him better and to give him a memorable birthday. Just like Koni and Zavier, whom she was already with, she felt a pull to him. She was gentle with him, getting him to talk to her and tell her his history, or what he knew of it. She was building a bond with him based on trust and kindness. Everything she did was for his enjoyment, ignoring her own. And when she had spent some time with him and he almost melted on the floor, she told him “Happy Chosen Birthday” and she smiled at him.
They headed to the dining hall for pizza and cake, and one of the guys said in surprise, “Loch, are you smiling???” She was glad she could give him a happy birthday!
This part of the story was good as Teagan built a relationship with Loch. She later found the reason for his nickname, and it was sad but explained all the scars. Grab your copy and learn more about Loch. I think better days are ahead for him!
Bait by Cassa Daun is an amazing story that I loved reading. This is book number three in this amazing series that I am so hooked on and can not wait to read the rest. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about wolf shifters, erotic and paranormal romance.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The slow burn RH series continues with a book reavling about Bait and his past and how it shaped him. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I enjoyed getting to know Bait. It was eye opening to read the reveals about his character. I liked how she handled getting the facts about him. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.
I still think this is a great series, but I wouldn't mind if the author cut some of the sex scenes, and the books combined into fewer volumes. Some of the scenes just don't advance the story or really add a lot to it. I am still enjoying this series. It's really good.
Bait, the third book of the Midnight Moon series, is a fast-burn, RH novella (less than 100 pages) I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). Okay, I admit this installment serial is a bit over-the-top with corny love /sex scenes and dialogue, but the story is fun and the relationship between the characters keeps me entertained.
Hurray for book 3. This one starts just after Teagan was attacked by the mean girl crew. This book has the addition of Loch to her amazing crew. I think others have said that these novellas would make an excellent full length book. Each guy that’s added makes you fall in love with their battered spirits and makes you want to snuggle right in with them.
I liked this book but I felt the storyline stalled a bit to focus on the sexual side which isn't terrible but i felt the other two books had more substance which i prefer. We're almost at the end and i feel there not much that's been addressed. Fingers crossed.
The story is continuing nicely,,with drama and spice. I am looking forward to the last in the series to see it all tied up. While the series is not wow me, it is well written and I am enjoying it.
