Midnight Moon isn’t a sleepaway camp for pups. And it definitely isn’t an academy for the youth of privileged packs. It’s for adult rejects. The runts. The unwanted. The loners. So which am I? After my family died, all of the above. I suppose that makes me a perfect fit, even if I shouldn’t be. I was sent here, not only in hope of forcing my transition but also for protection from an outcast aiming to stop me from claiming my rightful spot. While it might be the best place to hide, I quickly discover I’m not invisible. The Four have pinned their eyes on me.
With a past that stripped him to the bone, the stud had no interest in bonding. But as the draw between us grows, he lets reluctance go and joins the others in our connection. When a threat from my past returns, and the future of our pack is at stake, he risks his life to save me.
*Stud is book 4 in the Midnight Moon series, an RH PNR intended for mature readers. While set in the same world as the Marked Soul series, the Midnight Moon series can be read alone but each book must be read in numbered order.
3.5 ⭐️ This entire novella series was perfect for the mood I was in - needing a quick, easy to read, low angst story. I was looking forward to Elijah joining the group and loved all of the part. Since this was the finale a fair amount of time had to be given to the very predictable climax with the heroine's uncle, etc but the strength of this series was always in the romance and I was so interested in her hometown/Victorian house and restaurant and what her and The Four's lives will be like now that they all together and where they are going to live that I wish there was one more novella exploring all of that.
Teagan has been sent by her Aunt Sonya to a camp for shifters who don't fit the definition of "norm", not only hoping to force her transition but also to protect her from her outcast Uncle Raif aiming to stop her from claiming her rightful spot in the pack by challenging her for the alpha spot. Here at the camp, she had immediately been attracted to four other shifters who've formed their own pack-like group. And now she can’t give them up and worries about their future. Koni had been shot by hunters, but he was doing much better now. Zavier and Loch had also returned to the cabin whenever they had a chance. And Elijah came by to get them for their watch shifts.
Teagan had a talk with Rosie to ask if she could stay here even after her transition which was much closer now. Rosie had no problem with it, except that her aunt needed her back there soon. And the guys would also have to leave soon since they had stayed past the time most were allowed. They needed the room for other wolves needing help. So Teagan had to talk to the guys and make a decision. Elijah was in the kitchen when she got back. He looked exhausted but couldn’t sleep, so he cleaned. He wouldn’t look up at her. When she turned to leave, his arm reached out but he didn’t touch her. He still didn’t say anything, so she moved closer. Finally he started talking, telling her she was so different than they had expected. She was kind and selfless, putting herself out for guys she barely knew. She stood up for them and really cared. She didn’t get angry if things she was promised were taken away. And most important, she would not touch any of them without their consent. Consent had meant something to Elijah. And Teagan thought of “Stud”, the final nickname… Elijah must be “Stud”! He saw her figure it out, what happened to him. He gave her an energy bar, then, for the first time, asked if he could take a nap with her. He was opening to her at last. He told her how he had been used for years both before and after his transition; and his family sold his body for profit. She had already figured out the rest. So they held each other and slept.
This is an excellent series. If you haven’t read the previous books, I recommend them to give you a fuller picture of this terrific pack they are creating. There is plenty more, but you have the pleasure of continuing Eli’s story on your own. These characters are so easy to love.
I have read all of them and couldn’t put them down. They are amazing. I like how the girl was not shy or scared. How she didn’t hide her feel for any of them and was openminded. It was very different from very other book I have read like this. Normal I get tried of reading the same thing and skip to the end but I didn’t with this book because it kept it short and sweet. I love the male characters to and how they weren’t afraid either. You are a amazing writer and I am reading the rest of your books now.
This book (serie?) could be so much more. I love the world behind it, the characters are interesting. It is actually a shame that five hundred pages of a book has been split into four parts. The story has SO much potential and it really needs a followup. A less steamy followup! One that tells us how they lived after, how their lives settled, what sort of troubles they faced when trying to build a pack. I love the loving but life is more than just that.
I have enjoyed this series at a time when I've been slumping and not always enjoying books. The Midnight Moon series wasn't too heavy, I loved the novella length, and that there wasn't a long wait in between releases. The characters Ms. Daun created were likable, interesting, and I cared about their pasts and how things would work out for their HEA. This final book in the series, like the others, had a blend of relationship-building, steam, and action. Each of the guys had sad stories, but Eli's background was the saddest to me and I really liked how Teagan handled getting closer to him.
Even though this was a novella, I would have loved a peek into their future to see the group living and interacting after all the events of this book, even just a few weeks or months in the future, but I was happy where the story ended. I'll definitely check out future releases by this author.
A book with insight to the last of the crew and it was an eye opening experience. Things are finally going well with our team of misfits. The story takes a turn with the suspense surrounding her life which has been a common theme throughout the series. It was another enjoyable read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The final book has more relationship development, steam, action as the guys' backgrounds are shown over time. The length was nice but not too long. I received a copy and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It was a good read. I am not sure why the books are novellas when together they can be one (or even 2 if the author included POV's from males) fantastic book...
Teagan was sent to a camp for outcasts, runts and others that don't fit the norm. Her aunt sent her there to protect her as she is now the sole living heir to her father's assets. Her father made a horrible decision (which he hoped would have helped Teagan to shift) which got his whole pack killed, including him and Teagan's two brothers. While at the camp she meets four men who keep their distance from her. She also develops relationships with the camp counselor and another girl. Each book is about a different man (the title is their nickname) and their bond together. I loved how vulnerable the men were with Teagan and none of them crossed any mean/bully lines so their relationship was likable. I also really loved how the author didn't make the FMC some naive womanchild that gave her virginity away like the most prized possesion. Instead she was confident, she verbalized what she wanted, and she stood on her own two feet. The men at the end had to save her but it definitely didn't feel like it was a damsel in distress scenario. I would have absolutely loved if the author included some male POV's. Also, the main actions are in book 1 and 4 (ie. Why she came to camp and then defeating that threat in book 4) and the others just focus on the relationships solely.
Stud, the fourth book of the Midnight Moon series, is a fast-burn, RH novella (less than 100 pages) I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). Interesting wrap-up to this installment serial. The book felt a bit open-ended and maybe it could have used a little more strength in the last chapters. It may have lowered my IQ to power through the flowery sec scene dialogue, but I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline.
Like I’ve said before this could be an actual expanded series if the author could go a bit deeper, the story has so much potential. Still with that being said as a novella length book they are decent and not too bad. There’s a decent balance of plot and story and sex. The relationships don’t come completely easily but the show down kinda felt like it did.
Stud by Cassa Daun is a fantastic book to read. This is book number four in this fantastic series that I have been so hooked on and can not wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about erotic and paranormal romance.

The first book was so good that I downloaded the rest of the series and read it in one sitting. The story has a different slant to it. It drew me in with the interaction of the characters and how they finally found family and friends after their painful pasts. More like this Cassie ☺️
I loved this series from start to finish and now I’m going back to read the other connected series all over again. The author built an immersive world, and the quick and dirty style is perfect for my attention span. They fly by, in the best way.
I hated to see this series end. Eli’s story was probably the most heartbreaking. I love that he found healing and peace once he joined the crew. Truly a quick, fun, sexy series!
I enjoyed this book, and I loved the drama and excitement as we came to the conclusion of the series. I enjoyed the series and will read more by this writer
Don't get me wrong. I like this series, but this particular book could have been part of the last book. It didn't need to be a separate book. You could have ended the last book with the fight scenes and the aftermath. There wasn't enough in this last one to sell it as a separate novel.
