It Began With A Lover's Moon and then the clock stuck midnight and they were lost to each other. The masked 'bodyguard' and the gorgeous 'serving girl' captured one dance together. Sparks flew and the chemistry was there. Everyone scattered at the stroke of midnight. Did they find each other again? Did Prince Charming find his Cinderella? Valentines Day is approaching and love is in the air. This was a cute retelling of Cinderella. The characters were likable and the story was entertaining. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

Working at the ball was bad enough but having to serve your evil stepfamily only makes it worse. The one bright spot in Syndie’s night was getting to meet Pax but when midnight struck so did the danger.
Pax has recently transitioned from protecting his country to working as a bodyguard for the elite. While escorting his client to the ball he meets Syndie and when she finds herself in danger there is nothing he won’t do to keep her safe.

2 stars. This one was so weird and all over the place plot wise. The writing wasn’t all that great and I didn’t care about either main character. Meh, I think I’m done with this series because they’re just not doing it for me unfortunately.

Loved this
Syndie is working at then valentines ball her half sisters are all dressed up but they don’t treat her nice and her step uncle even worse and that is who she works for but she never thought she would meet her Prince Charming and then her saviour when she taken.
Pax is working as a body guard to Sticky Janine even though he is a billionaire and goes to the Valentine ball when there his eyes get latched on to Syndies. Pax knows it is her the one he has been waiting for after their hour comes to an end he waits for her but Sticks comes to him and tells Syndie has left she got fired. Pax goes looking for her and finds out she has been taken by a person he knows and goes to his place Pax is not leaving there without Syndie and then she will be by his side where she belongs.

Good but got me confused
A good book, I loved the characters.
The prologue got me a tad lost so I kind of skipped that.
Then the first part was a tad slow but i know that reading that lead to the rest of the story.
Both characters were introduced nicely but the story didn't really start until about half way through for me and that was after they met face to face.
I think my favourite part was near the end when the hero was looking for the heroine and then tracked her down with some help and then went all alpha and protected her.
The epilogue wasnt really needed in my opinion, I mean it was nice to finally hear the heroine stick up for herself in a way but the epilogue wasn't really even about them and the ending just got really confusing too.

A masked ball, one magical dance Syndie, finds the masked stranger attractive and captivating. Working for a nasty step-uncle, and being put down by her step sisters she resigned to take abuse so her dad isn't further emotionally hurt by her steps. Until the one mistake Pax comes to bite him in the behind and his mysterious beauty disappears before he has a chance to catch her. A spin off the tale that has more spice than fairy godmother, and a tough ex seal willing to beat the villain to rescue her. I voluntarily read a copy of this book and really enjoyed it.

This is a short sweet, fast fairy tale. In my opinion this was a little different story than what I'm used to from Alice May Ball. In my opinion this was not the filthy rough and ruthless men Alice May Ball usually writes about. I really liked it. It's a modern day take on Cinderella. My biggest complaint is I found it too short. I would have liked a little more backstory on Syndie, Pax and Emil. I found Syndie and Pax very likable. I found myself rooting for them. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy.

I feel like so many of these novellas in this Curvy Valentine series are so disjointed. Honestly, it almost feels like the authors were in such a rush to get something out there for this series they just jotted down some ideas and sent it right off without proofreading or actually ensuring there was a flowing story line.
I didn't understand the whole underlying tension and issues going on with Emil and Pax. What was the point of adding that in here? Why kidnap Syndie?
I was just so lost and disappointed in how this one turned out.

Confusing
This book was so utterly confusing. There was just no flow to it and the characters weren’t convincing. I was lost and didn’t understand most of it and felt like I was left to try to piece it together myself. All of the drama with Emil just didn’t make any sense of play out well. Why would he go to a ball to kidnap a girl the H hadn’t even met yet, why was he so mad at the H to even begin with....Just didn’t do it for me.

This book started off well, and the author has a lovely way with words. The idea was good, presenting Cinderella in a different way. I enjoyed the beginning and the middle but found the end confusing.
It also could do with proofreading to correct the typos.
Nothing in the description mentioned erotic and what I thought was going to be a romantic ending, turned into something else.
Still, overall the story was enjoyable.

I absolutely adored this fantastic short story. The uncle in this story really stood out as a horrible person. I loved how the author was able to convey so much in so little time. The personalities of the characters just jumped out at you. I was so absorbed I didn’t want it to end.

The only thing I didn’t like about this book
it was a little short.

Great story fell flat
I enjoyed some of the book but the storyline was just too disconnected. This story could've been much better but feels like it was rushed. The ending was just words that didn't flow well at all and completely lost me at the end.

Hard to read
Too many grammatical errors. Couldn't figure out whose POV I was reading just to name a few. Read the first few books. Doubt I'll read the rest of these series even if by different authors. Waste of time.

If you have read the book, no pun intended by title! Another short and sizzling read in this multi-author Cinderella series. Give them a read on your lunch break or before bed, you won't be disappointed. Mature eyes only due to hot🔥loving and mild violence!!!

Scooby Doo...by a middle school girl
Read as if written by a middle school age girl, who had watched one too many Scooby Doo specials.
May be fine if you are a middle school aged girl. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend this one, and plan to delete the rest of the series, unread.

A new take on the Cinderella story. Seizing Cinderella has insta love, some drama and dancing! Syndie and Pax are both working the masked ball and were attracted to each other right away.

Oh la la. Who doesn’t love a strong military man. This was definitely a swoon worthy book. So romantic and I loved the ending.
