Saving Meadow
He lives to enforce the law. But he’ll break every rule to protect her.
Nick Clark
I clipped a shiny, new FBI badge to my belt, thinking I could save the world. Four years later, the shield’s got some dents, along with my idealism. And there’s one cold case that’s come back to haunt me.

A killer has resurfaced, and all my instincts tell me he’s after the victim that got away. I’ll break every rule in the book to protect beautiful, scarred Meadow. Because I’ve done the most dangerous, most distracting thing an agent can do. I’ve fallen for her.

Meadow Holiday
I don’t believe in fairy tales. Not after an attack left me a half a woman. But when Nick swears to protect me from my worst nightmare, his charm cracks my resolve to guard myself. One kiss shatters it.

But, like the evil villain in the tale, the killer won’t stop until he finishes what he started. And our happy ending balances on the point of a knife.

Chasing Honor
Money can’t buy love. But a dangerous secret could cost them their lives.
Ethan Lenox
Eight years ago, I was left holding the baby, but I have no regrets. I’m a good single dad
and a good cop. While I haven’t exactly been a monk, dating—and trusting my heart
again—are off the table.

When I catch a photographer snapping pictures of my kid, I go into hyper-protective
mode. But Honor’s pictures are as arresting as her pretty eyes, and when she answers my
ad to rent a room at my house, I begin to wonder if she’s another heartbreak…or a second
chance.

Honor Sullivan
Gotta travel light when you’re on the run. Luckily, secrets don’t take up much room. I
need a place to stay just long enough to figure things out, but when I get a look at my
new landlord, my heart flipflops.
Ethan and his daughter are everything I’ve been missing. But just when I’m beginning to
believe I’ve found refuge, my secrets find me. One of which I hadn’t even known I was
carrying. This one could not only get me killed, it could endanger the little family I’ve
come to love.

Finding Mercy
DEA Agent Jason Walker became a widower at twenty-eight. Two years later he’s still torturing himself with guilt. They’d married young, and she’d been his first love, but her illness changed everything. They’d fought a losing battle and he’d held her to the very end. Now he just wants to be left alone with his misery and memories.

Mercy James is no stranger to grief and loneliness. Her brother’s death of a drug overdose, and her police officer father’s death in the line of duty were the driving forces behind her pursuit of a career in the DEA. In spite of—or maybe because of—her past, Mercy doesn’t believe in feeling sorry for others, or for herself.

When a case brings Jason and Mercy together, and their attraction heats up, can her tough, straightforwardness help Jason learn to live in the light again? He’d lost his first love, but is he ready for a forever love?

This series features the adult children of the men and their women from the 707 series.

I LOVE that Riley did this series but she said a few times in her reader group as the series went on it was VERY hard to keep small details correct. I can only imagine.

That being said don’t let those things bother you. It’s a ton of people and a ton of details. And it doesn’t take away from their stories at all.

MF

Spice varies depending on plot. But all open. Riley writes HAWT SPICE. Smokin.

HEA-HFN (continuing series but all couples stay together just that the epilouges in this series can’t go too far forward yet). So you will get further HEA details from a lot of the characters as the series goes on)

MMC’s-FBI agent, Officer (LEO), DEA Agent

FMCS-woman who survived a serial killer, woman running from a powerful creepy man, woman who is a fellow agent

Good writing. Good plots. And Riley writes the MMC voices extremely well. As in one of the best male voice writers around. Tough alphas. Smart (normally) women. These plots work spice, romance and relationships with intrigue and suspense.

Oohhhhhh if you haven’t read these books yet you are in for a treat.

If you want to be totally in tune then you do need to go back one tiny step and read the 707 books by Riley. I promise you won’t regret it, though it isn’t strictly required reading and you won’t feel like you are missing anything when you read these books.

All the series are stand-alone, but read in order you will revisit characters from the previous books.

In saving meadow Nick Clarke is all grown up now and has joined the FBI, in fact he’s part of the behavioural analysis unit he is so good. He’s been tracking a serial killer since his early days on the unit and after a hiatus the killer is back.
Meadow just wants to get on with her life. After being violently attacked after a night out leaving her both physical and mentally scarred, she’s happy blending into the background as much as possible and simply existing, though her boss being horrible isn’t great and she has wild dreams about the hot guy she sometimes sees at her favourite coffee shop.
When returning to his analysis of the killer Nick realises that there may well be victims he hasn’t yet identified, and realises there is actually a living victim...

Nick and Meadows story isn’t easy (none of these are to give honest, there is always a fair amount of angst) but it’s emotionally satisfying throughout. They really do save each other. And if you have been and read the 707 before reading this, you truly GET how much Nick needs his family and how they step up for him (always the best part of any of this series for me!!)

Chasing Honor

Ethan is making it, he made it as a cop and has a lovely home and an amazing daughter, that he’s raised by himself since he was 16...well obviously the family helped because...helloooo this is the best family EVER but still.
However in order to help pay for some extra activities for his daughter, he needs some extra cash and is reluctant to let his parents pay, so he decides to rent a room out in his home.

Honor needs to start again, she has lost her mum, and her stepdad and step brother are creeps of the highest order. She’s a great photographer in demand and just needs to find somewhere to be herself.

All goes well and despite initial mistrust on both sides, Ethan and Honor are getting on well and before they know it, kind of acting like a family. Ethans daughter adores Honor and isn’t shy about wanting her to be a mum figure, and Ethan soon finds himself relying on Honor as much as she does him. Then her past catches up at around the same time his feelings overwhelm him and it all explodes. Ethan gets a verbal correction (well deserved) from his family and pulls his head out of his behind quick enough to save Honor from the unknown threat chasing her.

Finding Mercy

Jason doesn’t deserve happiness, after the death of his first wife following her second fight with cancer, he deserves a life of misery...according to him.

Mercy wants to make Jason smile, she has seen what he has been through and like everyone else, knows he needs to start living again, but he has to really want it to make it happen.

Of all this series this one is much more of a roller coaster. Jason actually gets over himself quite quickly and admits his feelings for Mercy, but then old fears come up and he devastates her by walking away....then something truly awful that will affect the family much more deeply than anyone realises for a LONG time happens and Jason knows he can’t live without her.

This is a total MUST READ for me

Meadow - From victim to crusader, Meadow meets Nick at her lowest, but with his love and support she is not only able to put her past behind her but also help stop the tragedy from happening to others. Edge of your seat mayhem and one hell of a story - the next generation does not lack anything that the first series gave out. Loved it!!

Honor - Ethan and Honor's first impressions might not have been the best - but their ending was certainly what love stories are all about. Nothing better than a single father who has sworn off love and the woman who had walked away from everything coming together. Each and every chapter just added to their love and the ending was everything it needed to be.

Mercy - This story just killed me. From the heartbreak that Jason wears like a badge of dishonor to the tumultuous live that Mercy had to live through, I just wanted to give them a hug. They have to fight through loads of hurdles to figure out the drug epidemic plaguing a local school while at the same time owning up to the feelings they are trying to keep under wraps. And the climax of the story gave me chills. This was another wonderful addition to the series.

Nick is with the FBI and they are searching for a serial killer attacking young pretty women and killed them with a knife. But Meadow lives in their town and she's the only victum to survive, she's also the first victum. There's plenty of suspense and when she finds out who the killer is it rocks her world. Danger, suspense, heat and new beginnings. Great take on a single dad (Ethan) at sixteen and a large family to help out. Honor has a past that's coming back with a vengeance. She didn't know her dad because he was killed in action. There's alot going on in this book. Danger, heat, love for his daughter and extended family, who surrounds him with all the help he needs. HEA. Jason has been feeling guilty before and after his wife died from cancer. Working for the DEA has kept him busy, and his mind occupied. Mercy also works in the same building in a different office. But with the job they are working on together brings them closer. But like the other boys, he's a hard nut to crack. HEA.

Series 2 was just as great as their fathers and mothers

Wow kids grew up fast . The next generation is as good as the first series. Finding love and protecting that love . Happy to find the series kept interacting with the same characters so you don't get lost . Fathers and Mothers who stood by to help each of their children and helping them to overcome each painful obstacle then encountered. I have completed the whole series . Won't give away all of it . Start reading and don't stop . You'll love the ending of them all and then it starts with men who they pull into their fold . Considers them family . Can't wait to finish it up . Happy reading y'all. This was one of the best series I've ever read . One more daughter to go . Then the men and women you've come to love will pass it down to the next generation.

good collection

The next generation series books 1-3 is a great collection for the stories of the next gen of the 707 series.

We start with Nick and Meadow, then move to Ethan and Honor, and finally Jason and Mercy. Each one of their stories are standalone with enough action to keep the pages turning! The stories are different and gripping.

Lenox, Levy, Clark and Jasper have their families all grown and we get to meet them in each of the stories too. But if you haven’t read the original 707 series, it’s ok as Riley Edwards does a great job of explaining the families and their closeness. Wonderful collection.

Perfect.....

Love, love, love this whole world Riley Edwards has created. Next Generation series as a whole is beautiful. The storylines so far are heartwarming & exciting. Yes, it's a little hard to believe love so powerful could happen at first sight, but really it's a story. Plus it's nice to fantasize it could actually be real. That's why we read HEA, to escape reality of our crazy world. Every pot line so far as been thorough with just the right amount of naughty to keep fanning yourself.. Truly love the way this author tells a story.....

All three stories are quick reads and full of heat, heart, suspense, humor... great weekend reading!

I like the way this series begins with Nick & Meadow. Their story is intense & full of healing vibes. ♥️ Ethan & Honor's story felt a bit lighter - probably due to the amazing Carson, who stole many scenes! She's a riot! Then Jason & Mercy's story is super emotional & has some 💔💔💔 going on.

I enjoyed all the stories & love this family! I think I'll grab book 4 & continue on ...

Next Generation 1

Three stories the link same family except each a different emotional experience. Couldn’t put it down even as one ended I couldn’t wait to move on to the next one. It’s one of best things about starting a series after they are completed. Great reads now onto next box set in series.

I am just more in love with this author's work the more I read these books. This legacy series has all the same qualities of the original, strong intelligent characters, realism, great sexy parts, and of course the HEA. But I think what grabs me most is the whole community that she has created, the support network, the family, and the couples own journey to get to their special place. The themes of forgiveness and second chances, of stress, and short comings, of confidence and insecurity, all of it. Very real, very compelling me for me. A nice world to spend time in.

Family drama

Loved the series especially Jason & Mercy. I’ve read them individually but back to back brought the family ties within the stories to the front. Drama, suspense & love in a perfect blend. Thank you Riley!!

A great book.

This book starts off where the parents’ book ended. The occupations are different but exciting. Ms. Edwards knows a lot of details about many military and law enforcement jobs that make this book so interesting. The romance is hot too.
