As a child, Cherié Summers, dreamed of being a writer. And it's in her dreams that Ms. Summers finds inspiration. At age eighteen, a dream she had about her favorite rock star, Billy Idol, turned into her first novel, Start the Fire. But, Ms. Summers didn't get serious about publishing that novel until she turned fifty. Nearly six years later, she has seven published books to her name.
Star the Fire begins her Love on Fire series which she describes as "drama filled, erotic romance about love, sex, friendship, and rock and roll". There are five books in the series that chronicle the trials, tribulations, and romances of the fictional band, Lightning.
For the book Eternally Wild, Ms. Summers veered away from her series to take a stab at paranormal romance. However, the book is still grounded in music. The inspiration for Eternally Wild also came from a dream. One in which Ms. Summers met the ghost of Michael Hutchence. She was compelled to begin writing the book on the 20th anniversary of his death and is thrilled with the outcome, calling it her "steamiest" creation to date.
Writing is only one of Ms. Summers' creative passions. She is also an avid photographer, specializing in portrait photography of animals, nature, and people. Another creative outlet she revels in is belly dancing. She teaches the art of Middle Eastern dance through her local community education program. She also enjoys traveling to music concerts and pop culture conventions with her daughter, Kayla. Atlanta is a favorite destination, and Ms. Summers' dream is to move there when she retires from her day job.
i enjoyed this one. it was well written and fun to read.. it made me laugh several times and blush a few times lol. some spots were horrible and sad... heartbreaking and rough.. but then it got better and kept me curious.. i really liked it.
First, I want to thank Cherie Summers for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review. I forgot how much I loved the Adrian and Melody series until Cheri Summers reminded me when she came out with the third book Love and Fire! WOW!! I thought the first two were good-this one was incredible!! First, if you have not read the first two book you must read them. You will get a better feeling of the characters and their back story. You will be totally lost if you read this one not knowing about their past. Plus, the past characters come back in this book and you get updates on what they have been up to. This book is totally for you if you like books about musicians, bands reuniting, insatiable rock stars who cant get enough from their wives, betrayal, death, trying to conceive, cheating spouses, jealous husbands, wild sex, domestic abuse, twists and turns you don’t see coming, heartache, mistaken identities, storyline set In a doctor’s office and clinic, etc. Basically, this book could be turned into a prime time soap opera with all the drama, sex, gossip, etc it has jam packed into the book! It is by far a boring book and will keep you on your edge of your seat!
The third book in the Love on Fire series a another good story in this series. Adrian "Bolt" Hall is fighting to not go back to his old ways, as the stresses start piling up on them. Melody and Adrian are now married, and a lot of bad things are happening. I enjoyed seeing this story come together. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Book three of the Love on Fire series, what a well-written story, it kept my interest from the first to the last page. This is the first book in this series I have read and I know I will be reading the first two, even though I started here the book was one I could follow. These two had a lot to get over from their past, to be able to move on with their future. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
I loved this book and did not want to put it down until I had completely finished it. Everything you need for a great, engaging read. I loved reading this book as it captivated me from the start. I was entertained by the characters and fully caught up in all the relationships. The characters were extremely well done and really pulled you into their lives.
Another good book in this series. There is a lot of drama throughout the pages. It is plenty steamy as well. I can't believe how much the characters have to go through and how much they overcome together. I think others will enjoy this book and the rest of the series as well. There are some triggers in this series as well so be fair warned. I would recommend it to others who enjoy this genre.
I loved this book! I have to admit, I jumped in here without having read Book 2, which I'm about to go and read now. It is an absolute firecracker of a romance, and written really well. Worth reading -- you won't be able to put it down.
