Audible prastoot karta hai, DIL LOCAL with Divya Prakash Dubey, ek Audible Original, lekhak Rakesh Kayasth.
`Dil Local’ kahaniyon ki ek aisi anoothi series hai, jise kagaz par utarne ke liye lekhak ne Mumbai ki local train me safar karne wale kai asli kirdaaron ka lambe samay tak pichha kiya hai. Kabhi unhe khamoshi se observe kiya hai to kabhi unse baat karke unki zindagi ke panne padhe hai. Kalpana ke rango me range jaane ke baad paatra thoda bahut bhale hi badal gaye ho lekin kahaaniyon se judi situations aur emotions dono asli hai. Isiliye ye kahaniyaa Mumbai Local se judi hote hue bhi poore hindustan ki ho jaati hain. Yahi wajah hai ki dil local ki ye 15 kahaniyaan seedhe dilon me utar jaati hain. Kahaniyan kabhi gudgudati aur kabhi rulati hai. In kahaniyaan se jooda bada sandesh yah hai ki lagatar chalte rahne ka naam hi zindagi hai.

I probably would not have read this if it weren't free with my Audible membership. Some of the stories were really good and others were just so bad.
But overall, I think I will never be able to rate or review this book objectively just because of how much the local trains of Bombay mean to me. To the author and the narrator's credits, they did complete justice in depicting the everyday life of Bombay's local trains. If you have ever travelled in one, or better, regularly travelled in one, you would understand what I mean. It would have been two stars if not for the setting. Bombay local trains will forever be close to my heart, and for that, the book gets a bonus third star!
This is an Audiobook by Audible a short 16 stories collection based on Mumbai Local.
The author has beautifully captured lives of people travelling via Local. How the train network is a great escape as well as home to lakhs of lives of daily people is a treat to listen to.
I myself have travelled in Mumbai via local and could perfectly relate to many characters in the stories here.
The Narrator's voice added extra stars to this Audiobook.
CON: only people who travelled atleast once in Mumbai local would the True emotion of the story.
Beautiful stories told by a beautiful voice... Isn't it strange? Some stories make us forget, who we are, where we belong to, they capture us in them. Dil local is a collection of such beautiful stories. It captures many emotions and leaves you elated and surprise. Though, I loved all of them, but 'ladies special,' 'Chinhpokli ka Chatu' and 'Hawaii Jahaz Wali' are my favorite.
