I read only those novels where the heroine is a virgin, and she has sex only with the hero. There are very few dark books with such parameters. This book is very dark and fits what I need! I was delighted, I read it twice since the release date. It's not enough for me, I want more!
If you do not like reading about the subordination of a woman to a man abuser, then this is not for you.

This was deliciously fucked up and dark. Do not expect the anti-hero Zeno to have any redeeming qualities....and that's what I loved about him. Petra was a fighter too and it was amazing to witness the absolute mindfuck Zeno cooked up for her despite all that she'd gone through before the amnesia. Boy, did this book's tragic ending kick every HEAs ass for me. Loved it🖤
The first book I read by this author, Professor Nixon, was a dark romance involving an obsessed man, but you never doubted the heroine would be loved, protected and cared for by the hero. It even ended with a happily-ever-after. So I thought I knew what to expect in Daddy’s Pet, but this book goes well beyond dark and I wouldn’t categorize it as a romance. The male main character, Zeno, is mentally aberrant to a degree that pushes this book into some outright gory scenes. For instance, at one point he grinds the heroine’s injured, bleeding thigh to the ground to “ensure that her wound would stick to the floor.” Professing love for Petra, Zeno shifts from occasional tender interludes to dispassionate viciousness. It was well-crafted, but not for me.

Disappointing ! Usually I love this authors books and the men she writes about but this story of Petra and Zeno just doesn't work for me. He is literally just too crazy and also there's nothing likeable about him. On the positive side it is well-written. Petra is bought by Zeno and tries to kill herself but only suceeds in giving herself amnesia, and Zeno a second chance with the woman he is obsessed with... until she remembers. Be warned this is a dark read and not for everyone. Zeno plans on showing Petra what it truly means to be owned by him. Intense read with loads of drama and steam. Great characters with lots of depth and a story that really draws you in. I really liked it.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a dark short story that takes you beyond dominance and submission. It was darker than I usually enjoy. For me, Zeno was hard to connect to as a character

This is the very dark romance between Zeno and Petra. The story opens with Petra waking up with no memory of her husband or the life they shared. All she knows is that she was injured and had been under a doctor’s care. Zeno, her husband, tells her she was injured when she fell off the balcony. He keeps an eye on her at all times and does not want to let her out of his sight which she thinks is a bit excessive. She is feeling suffocated in the house with him always at hand and wants to get out. One day when he is on a work call she does manage to sneak out of the house and walk downtown but he eventually finds her in an art gallery where she has been sitting for quite some time admiring a painting. He buys her the picture and brings her home. He also extracts her promise not to ever leave the house without telling him where she is going. Petra has the feeling he is not the kind man he purports to be as she has seen flashes of the monster she thinks lurks within him. We, the reader, are let into Zeno’s mind and know he wants to control her and make her love him and only him. Petra finally gets her memory back and remembers what hell their relationship was and how she came to fall off the balcony. The nightmare that follows is too real and the ending I never saw coming was a real surprise.

Petra woke up with a head wound and partial amnesia in a strange man’s home. Zeno was obsessed with Petra and worked on the dark side of the law. The DDLg relationship that Zeno wanted with Petra was one of total control and submission and pain and was on the dark side also. But when Petra and Zeno had their second chance their fast relationship was altered making it exciting, scary, interesting, unwanted but needed at times. Interesting read

🖋 « Comment vas-tu, chérie ? » demande-t-il d’une voix grave et glaçante.
Les diables ne sourient pas.
Il s'avance, me forçant à reculer.
» me demande-t-il en me réprimandant.
« Tu as insisté », dit-il.
When Petra awakes after an accident she doesnt recognise the man that says hes her husband not the house they share, but she feels an underlying fear every time he is near. Zeno is a man who likes to dominate, his love for Petra is obsessive he loves her perfectionists flaws. Zeno may not have a second heart for Petra to break but she is his second chance, but for Petra this will all be her first times. Can Zeno make petra fall in love with him? He failed by being her nightmare but could becoming her dream be the difference this time? I didnt think Celia Crown could get more dark, manipulative and twisting but she has! And devilishly well! The story has you hooked from the start, captivated by Petra and Zenos twisting story, that refuses to let you go and drives your imagination wild with suspense and desires!

Wow! Celia Crown's stories are always dark and have me enthralled from the beginning and this story did not disappoint. Zeno is a very dark individual who is obsessed with Petra and loves her truly in his own sick and twisted way. He tries to be gentle with her but his dark side tends to take over his consciousness a lot. Some of the things he does seem sweet and some are cringe worthy. I like how the reader is left wondering the whole time about how Petra and Zeno's story truly enfolded and where it will go. Such a dark and extremely twisted read that I enjoyed.

This story was really intense. It took you in so many directions, it was twisted, depraved, sinfully good and dark. This was darker than most of her other books with more violence than before towards the female. This is the first time that I've read where the male lead enjoyed hurting his female. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I want to read it again but a little slower. There is nothing romantic about this book. I think I like it better when the male character only wants to hurt other and not the female he professes to love. I can't wait to read the next story. This was frightening in places. Where can I start? This story was full of suspense, wanting to know what truly happen with Petra and what her Daddy is doing to her. There were small twists and her Daddy loves her in his own way, even though it was his twisted way. If you’re into the very dark and twisted romance, this would be a treat for you; but read this with an open mind! The author uses a lot of taboo themes in this specific story (in my opinion) compared to her other ones. It was a very interesting and good, short read!

I stopped trying to predict Celia Crown’s books a bit ago. I know going in, it’s going to be a hell of a ride once I see the authors warning. The way this book was written, the reader isn’t sure where it started, really. The book begins with a bang, and the story unfolds with the catalyst at the beginning of our characters story, revealed.
Very well done! I’ll absolutely continue to look for and gobble up this authors work!

Okay, just in case this has not been emphasized enough, this book is very dark. I had a hard time reviewing this. I wasn't sure how to put this. But here's my opinion. Zeno is mentally ill, but is incredibly intelligent. He has mastered the skills of manipulation, brain washing and control. He does not know the true meaning of love. He is Petra's owner and his cruelty and depravity knows no bounds. I think Celia Crown did an excellent job writing this book and if this is your thing then 10 star rating.
This is a dark twisted tale. This is a dark and twisted tale it is not for everyone, it is more of an imperfect man obsessing over a woman. There are rough scenes that could upset people but it was entertaining. This has some interesting characters and the story flowed really well. This kept me reading well into the night. This is a wonderful story and hope to read other stories in this series. Great story, I loved it.

I haven’t read much of this author’s books but the few I have read they’re an entertaining and dark read. They caught you so good that you just can’t give up on them. Zeno has his obsession on his pet that he can’t just let go and to get his love he is not afraid to use any means to get it. This story was short but it just capture you with all this twisted and dark turns that you just can’t get enough of it.
Petra woke with amnesia and struggles with thoughts and feelings that terrorize her. When she sees her husband Zeno her body tells her to run. Can she figure out what happened to her and why she feels this way? Her mind and body are telling her different things.

Woman has amnesia, Man is something other (that's how I see him), but obsessed with woman. This book was ok but way to much for me. I like a little depravity but he was depraved, sinister, monstrous, evil etc. I don't like such a sinister read but, if you do check this out.
Ooh this one is one obsessive read! Really hold on tight, because Zeno will have you at the edge of your seat. The way he treats Petra one minute from the next has you biting your nails! An enthralling read!

I really enjoyed this book! It was fast paced and flowed nicely. The turn of events was done beautifully, and the ending was terrific! This is a fun and exciting paranormal romance! I liked it!! It has drama and steam, with very likable characters.
This story was great loved the characters, storyline, and the author did a great job on the grammar. I can't wait to continue reading more from this author!!!
