I loved this one! Well, I always love Fiona Davenport books. She always writes OTT alpha males, wonderful stories and super cute epilogues! ❤
Safe: virgin heroine, celibate hero, no cheating, no other man or other woman drama!
I took a couple days to read this book because as strange as it sounds, I liked knowing it was waiting on me! I adored Diego and his OTT behavior.
I liked having it mostly from a Diego’s POV but I wanted to know what was going through Allison’s mind a few time.
-no cheating -virgin heroine and long celibate hero -plenty of steam -no om drama -ow drama - I’m not sure what is up with the waitresses sticking their boobs in H’s faces but I could have done without thought. IMO it was unnecessary -good epilogues a couple years and 10 years later
Loving these books by fiona Davenport! I can’t believe it took me so long to read them! They’re smutty, steamy, sweet n safe! And I freakin LOOOOOVE that the heroines aren’t afraid of being mothers and having a family as their focus instead of wasting their energy and attention on some useless corporate, soul-crushing job.
And I loved the stalker elements in this one! A hero who is obsessed and isn’t afraid to do whatever is necessary to claim his woman
Totally safe. Hero’s past isn’t mentioned excerpt to say he’s been celibate for years. Heroine is a virgin and belongs only to the hero, gives him the gift of claiming all of her firsts. No others, no cheating or abuse. HEA with epilogue years later with kids
I've said it before and I'll say it again: a businessman hitting 40 and an 18 yo girl straight from high school go together like toothpaste and orange juice. That's a big nope for me.
Mr "don't bite your lip" Christian Gray Diego Sanchez takes OTT to a whole new level. He sees a young girls emerging from water and plans the next 30+ years of their life together. And that's all happening before he even sees her face. So true love it is.
Allison, the mentioned damsel, is completely bland and forgettable. And doesn't strike me as the smart one tbh. I wasn't a fan of hers, nor was I a fan of his. Their story wasn't my cuppa and I played along trying to get to the end but gave up at about 90% since there's not a lot of dialogue, only one long monologue from Christian. I mean Diego. So yeah, that's a miss for me.
Just like its predecessors in the series, this book was H.O.T. HOT!!! The sexiness was fiery from the beginning when the H set his eyes on h. With OTT instalove as the plot backbone, you couldnt help but sigh reading about this steamrolling alpha billionaire H; sexy, obsessed, possesive, and protective all together.
Virgin h, celibate H Both MCs from well off family No cheating, No OW/OM, No exes No drama/angst Safe read, HEA, EPILOGUE Overall score: 4 instalove stars
Oh how I love OTT obsessed hero’s that stop at nothing to get their women!!! Diego was not letting his and Allison’s one night end there. He told her that night she was his, now he just has to find and remind her of that promise.
Safe read H long time celibate h virgin Age gap H39/h18 No om/ow drama Epilogue less than 2 years and 10 years
"Finally, she lifted her face, and I grabbed the railing to keep from staggering backward. Partly from the force of her beauty and partly because it was easy to see that my goddess couldn’t have been more than eighteen years old. If she was even legal at all."
Another great addition to this series. Diego and Ari were amazing. I'm a little annoyed with Ari's behavior but hey, she's eighteen, what are you gonna do? Plus, we've entered the second generation and I for one, am super excited about it. I don't want to say how it's a second generation and give it away but I'm sure you'll be able to guess.
Again, a great obsessed, stalker male, hit with instalove. Told almost exclusively in Dante's POV. I couldn't recommend this series high enough. I'm dreading the day that's coming soon, where I'll be out of these books to read.
I never get tired of the books from Fiona Davenport but this one?! I think it melted my phone!! From start to finish Diego was 100% HOT AF! This was a great insta-love, short read full of lots of smutty goodness! LOVED IT!
A note/ The h Allison is Thatcher's daughter from (Her love) A very sweet older man younger woman insta love story , Diego is smitten, possessive and obsessive about allison , she was cute , the 2 epilogues were so naughty and funny, loved this 👍 Excited about Charlie's story ❤
True Love (Love Series, #7) by Fiona Davenport ⭐⭐⭐½
Hero - Diego Sanchez. Billionaire. 6’5, broad and muscular with short dark-brown hair peppered with silver, brown eyes, and a trimmed, extended goatee.
Heroine - Allison Kendall. Intern at K-Corp. Center-back length dark honey-color hair, light brown eyes, and deep dimples in her cheeks.
Overall Thoughts - I liked this story a lot in terms of really enjoying Diego as the hero. Allison, I wasn’t such a big fan of, but I’ll get to that later. In general, she’s fine, but FD manages to make her rather unlikeable later in the story.
Diego’s from the Dominican Republic - which, can I say that I love that FD is branching out all over the world to bring us a variety of heroes? Liam from Only Love was from South Africa and now we get Spanish-speaking Diego. But I digress. He’s got homes both there and in NYC, which is where our heroine is from. Like all the previous heroes in this series, he’s an older billionaire who’s put love on the backburner in favor of building his empire. That is, until he sees Allison on the beach one day.
Allison is the oldest daughter of Thatcher and Imogene Kendall from Her Love. She meets Diego while vacationing in the Dominican Republic and like all the previous heroines of this series, we don’t get her POV until one of the epilogues. It makes it a little hard to connect with her as anything other than the object of Diego’s lust (and love, eventually), so she was a bit of “meh” character to me (not bad/not great) until she decided to skip out on Diego. At first, not knowing her motivations, I gave her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it was Charlotte (her “cousin”) who needed to go back stateside so suddenly and Allison was forced to go with her. But no.
I didn’t love the heroine’s reason for running. She has .
She also blames her running on him, saying that . If he’d come to her and asked her to move to the Dominican Republic with him instead of him having a place in NYC, I believe she still would have chosen to stay with her family again.
I also didn’t love that Diego is never shown to tell Allison about his father. I mean, the guy just went through a month of hell with both his father in the ICU and the woman he wants to marry having run off to another country. She needed to hear what he’d been up to during all that time. I also didn’t like that while we see his mother briefly in the first epilogue, his (I assume) fully recovered father isn’t even mentioned. Considering it was papa Sanchez who encouraged Diego to go after his woman, you’d think they’d at least have a moment at the end.
Finally, I didn’t love that none of the newer couples were mentioned in this book. FD makes sure to highlight the original four relationships, but Tucker/Eva and London/Liam don’t get even a brief mention. It just makes all the pairings happening in the present day seem detached. These families are supposedly so close and yet it’s as if no one talks to each other.
Although, I do think one reason why London and Liam aren’t mentioned is that this book might actually take place before Only Love. Several reasons: In Only Love, Hudson Kendall, Allison’s youngest brother (I assume - her other brothers are Everett and Hayden, so Hudson’s gotta be the final, unnamed baby in the extended epilogues of Her Love), is mentioned to be living with his girlfriend, Grace Carrington. Considering Allison is only 18 in this book, Hudson’s definitely not old enough to be living on his own yet. The other reason being, Charlotte was described as working for a real estate tycoon in that book (whereas here she’s interning at K-Corp) and having a jerk of a boss that I assume will be her hero in the next book. And if that’s the case, then I have another “I don’t love…”. I don’t love that the timeline isn’t made crystal clear. If we’re going to be bouncing forward and backward in time, we need to know that.
Previous characters that appear on page in this one are: Jonah Carrington from Unexpected Love and Thatcher Kendall from Her Love. Their wives as well as Justice and Blair from His Love are mentioned, but don’t appear on page. The only other child of the original four that appears or is mentioned is Charlotte.
To sum it up, I love Diego, but could live without Allison.
Truly possessive man in love is the main character in this deliciously naughty new story in one of my favourite series by FD.
Diego Sanchez falls in love for the first time when he sees a siren of a young woman emerging from the sea. I loved the contrast between his business-minded ways up until that moment when he becomes obsessed with Allison.
It's a rollercoaster of controlling plans, strategic seduction and sensual claiming until he proudly knocks her up. There’s more than one bump though, as the road to love is hindered by a little drama that makes their next encounter truly fun and emotional. The scene at the doctor's is hilarious.
For a good time with this passionate man on a mission to claim wife and family, this novella is the perfect accomplice. Exotic scenery, misunderstandings, family unity, and let's not forget the happy times behind doors with those doors wide open! ;-)
“I can’t promise to always be rational when it comes to you or our children. I can be a controlling, obsessive, protective asshole sometimes. But no one could ever love you more than I do because this—what we have—it’s amor verdadero. True love.”
True Love is the love story of Diego and Allison. Unlike the other books in the Love series, this one largely takes place on the beach in the Dominican. Diego is a billionaire at the resort for work and sees Allison, who is vacationing there with her cousin. It's love and devotion at first sight for Diego.
Diego and Allison's story was cute and sweet. A bit longer than the others thus far, Diego and Allison have their own set of complications. The hero is OTT as always and is completely head over heels for his girl. I enjoyed this one.
The characters were brilliant, Allison was sweet, venerable and strong at the same time. While Diego was alpha, dominant, possessive and passionate. These two had fantastic chemistry and the plot created a brilliant story. I was privileged enough to receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the author for a voluntary and honest review.
Once again these book are utterly insane but I have so much fun reading them!!
I liked that this one’s storyline was a bit different from the others.
I understand that the rest of the books from this series are about the offspring from the first 4 books but it did seem a little weird as it was almost implied the MMC was the same age and friends with the dad of the FmC?!
3.5/5 stars Sadly I didn’t love this story, I think I’m burned out on the 18 year old virgin and the 30-40 year old man. There are plenty of lovely 20-30 year old women who would be happy to have a alpha man. Diego is a billionaire who is staying at a resort because he is buying it, he sees Allison, who’s there celebrating her high school graduation, and instantly knows she is the one. She is attracted to the older man and after their date the two can’t control themselves and he takes her virginity in the supply closet. He does take her back to his bungalow afterwards and they spend the night together. The next morning she is gone from his room. When he goes to her bungalow its empty, he contacts the front desk and finds out she has checked out. He then proceeds to stalk her and finds a friend who knows who she is and gets him to install cameras in common areas so he can see her everyday. His father became seriously ill so he is staying by his side but can’t wait to go claim his girl. Allison finds out she’s pregnant, Diego overhears her talking about a doctors appointment and gets on the plane as soon as his father is better and meets her at her OBGYN’s office. I loves you and he forgives her for leaving and they live happily ever after. Funny epilogue ten years later with her family getting together for holidays and her pregnant again.

Holy heck I freaking loved this story. 😍😍😍The hot older Diego that fell head over heels in love with his woman. Sweet, steamy, safe with a HEA and with a J/P guy. Alli is his obssession and he will do anything for her and her safety. Can't wait for the next story in this series.😍😍😍😍 The next generation at K-Corp will be getting their HEA.👍👍👍
I loved their romance but don’t agree with somethings
They meet in a bungalow hotel he bought in Dominican Republic. He fell in love instantly and stalked her for a while. When he decided to approach her, he extended his hand for her to grab and even hesitantly at first she grabbed his hand, a stranger’s hand (he must’ve been really handsome :D I don’t use the cover as reference, not always are compatible with their description inside the book). He was obsessed with her from the beginning. I loved the doctor appointment scene. The doc put him in his place jaja, she was funny. After that, kidnapped!! He took her to his house and stayed together. His love for her was very sweet, and strong. I loved their love.
Why I didn’t give 5 stars: - he didn’t call her in a month!! He only spied on her. If she found out who she was why didn’t he call her and let her know he wanted her for life!! And tell her what happened with his father. He made her believe it was a ons!! If he had time to spy on her he had time to call. - Why make her Thatcher’s daughter if we’re not gonna read the introduction between Diego and Thatcher and the scene Thatcher would’ve done!! Just a mention in the Epilogue.
SAFE No ow/om 1 month separation No cheating No manwhore Age gap
Diego Is at a resort because he is in the middle of purchasing it. While sitting on the porch of his cabana,he sees the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. Allison is on vacation with her " cousin ". Diego knows that the girl is young, too young for him, but nothing is going to stop him from making her his. After spending the night together, Diego wakes up to find Allison gone. Nothing is going to stop him from going after her. But as he is packing his clothes, he receives information that his father is in the hospital. Knowing that he will have to wait before he can claim Allison, he calls his friend Jonah Carrington to put eyes and ears on her. But calling Jonah changes everything because he is able to find out who she really is...Thacher Kendalls daughter. There are some misunderstandings that have kept them apart but Diego is going to claim his woman no matter what. The ob/gyn cracked me up in this book!!! I love every book in this series. I can't wait to read Charlotte's story!!!
This hot and fast read covers the story of Diego and Ali. It is written in first person from Diego's POV with the exception of one of the two epilogues, written in Ali's POV.
Diego is a 39 year old billionaire who falls for Ali at first sight. He kind of stalks her until he arranges a meeting and talks to her and asks her out. He knows he will marry her and give her the big family they both desire. Their relationship moves very fast and then they are apart for a month due to Diego's father's illness. Diego shows up to claim her and make her his.
The H is a dominant alpha intent on breeding his innocent h and keeping her forever. Ali is an innocent 18 year old that is trying to meet family expectations when she falls for Diego. This was a quick and hot read full of passion and insta-love.
Diego is a billionaire in his place of birth, Puerto Rico, on business. The last thing he expects is to fall in love at first sight. He takes advantage of his money and power to find out everything there is to find about her before meeting her. And when he does...its memorable. They had a fantastic night together but the moment he opened his eyes the next day everything hoes wrong and would be more than a month later that he would be free to find her. Great read. OTT alpha Hero, deeply in love, ready and willing to do anything to get his woman and the baby she is now carrying his. Highly recommended.
Intalove romance Age gap: h18, H39 No OW or OM drama No push from either though there was a separation of a month. Virgin h, celibate H Cute epilogue of 10 years later
Diego Sanchez has everything that he could ever want. HIs mother wants him to settle down and have kids but he has never had the inclination to do so…until now. From the moment he set eyes on a woman who changed all of his plans.
Allison Kendall was on vacation with her cousin to celebrate their high school graduation. She never imagined that she would meet someone who turn her life upside down. But in the light of day, doubt starts to creep in and she runs.
While Diego cannot immediately follow her, he will make sure that she is protected until he can. If she thought that she knew obsessive love, she has never met a love as true as theirs.
OMG…I love Fiona Davenport stories but I LIVE for their alpha billionaires! All I can say is get this one! Diego will not disappoint.
First things first; I like the cover of this book! True love is the seventh book in the ‘’love’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Whilst checking out a resort, billionaire Diego sees Allison. From the moment he spots her, he wants her but will he get his girl? The chemistry between Diego and Allison is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
Allison is the daughter of Thatcher Kendall and goes to a resort as a sort of celebration. Diego spots her at the beach and is immediately entranced by her. He slowly starts becoming obsessed until he asks her out and they have a passionate night together that the next morning he wakes up alone and just as soon as he was getting ready to get her back, his father had a stroke and was in critical condition so he went to his father but still kept his eye on Allison with the help of Jonah. His father told him to claim her and he did just that and with finding out that she was preggers, he was at the doctors when he saw her for the first time in weeks. They have 5 girls and 2 sons. AHHH I WANT THEIR STORIES TOO.
Diego was a workaholic who went to visit a hotel he was planning to buy when he met Allison (Thatcher and Imogen's daughter) and falls in insta-love. After a scorching night together Alison disappears but Diego was unable to go after her because of his father sudden illness. Didn't like that they were apart for a month but Diego put on his stalker shoes and was able to keep eyes on her from a distance. Diego's Spanish accent was toe curling and I always enjoy went the H speaking another language. The OB was a riot and I love how she took no shit having been already used to the OTT caveman behavior from the previous heroes. A fun novella read.
It was love at first sight for Diego. When he saw Allison coming out of the water on his private beach he was enthralled. I found it hard to believe that he felt so deeply for her that he had to stalk her rather than talk with her. Their first date was suppose to be dinner but he wanted her so badly he left the restaurant and took her to the beach. He took her virginity in a storage shack on the beach. A sizzling moment but so little verbal communication. She leaves for home the next morning with no explanation. How they find their way back to each other is sweet, intense and unique. He is a very interesting character.
This was another excellent insta-love story. This time, there was just a short separation between the main male character and the main female character...and there were more chapters with a bit more meat to the storyline. However, after the short separation, the story went a little bit too fast and the book had less grit, making it feel rushed to reach the ending. It would have been nice if it had more characters from previous stories, or at least have been more fleshed out than it was. As it stands, it was a good book. It had a bit of angst, and a small amount of push and pull, and the passion was just as hot as the other books in the series.
