I can always count on Corinne Michales to give me all the feels, and she did just that with Come Back for Me. This story captivated me from the start and was such a emotional and beautiful read.
This book is a stand alone, but it’s also the start of a series of standalones featuring four brothers. Connor Arrowood is the youngest of the four. Connor is back in his hometown of Sugarloaf, PA for the first time in 8 years. He vowed to never come back, but now that his father is dead, he has to take care of the farm before he and his brothers can sell it.
Ellie has been married for 8 years to an awful man and has the sweetest daughter. She loves her daughter more than anything, but her life isn’t easy. Connor and Ellie met one time 8 years ago before he left town. They had one incredible night together, and that was all. No names, no promises, just one night. Even though it was only one night, Connor never forgot Ellie. And when he sees her again, it’s a huge shock to him. But he wants Ellie. He doesn’t care that she has drama in her life and baggage, he wants her no matter what. Just her.
This wasn’t an easy read. There were some parts that truly broke my heart and were so difficult for me to get through. I can’t even imagine going through some of the things Ellie and her daughter went through, and I’m so glad she had Connor to be there for her. I loved that he was there for her as a friend first and don’t even get me started with his relationship with her daughter. It was the sweetest thing ever. When that little girl called him her best friend, I melted.
Connor and Ellie have had a connection since the first time they met, but their romance isn’t easy. It has a rough start, but Connor is everything Ellie needs in a man and nothing she’s ever had. He was truly the most amazing guy. I admired Ellie’s strength and love she had for her girl. I can’t imagine being in her shoes. Overall, I just adored this book and these characters so much!
Come Back for Me is an amazing start to the Arrowood brother’s books. After the way it ended, I’m dying for the next brother to get his story! If you’re looking for a story that’s gripping, emotional, well written, steamy, and sweet, pick this one up. I loved everything about it.

I’m conflicted cause first I thought the book was “meh” but the more I think the more I have problems with the story line.
Everything relies on coincidences and I find it very weird how Connor didn’t connect the night 8 years ago that connects both of them. It’s very obvious…
So idk why that was supposed to be so shocking when all I thought was “how the heck did he not think of this himself It was right in-front of his eyes the entire time”
Let’s not even get me started on how the child is yet again not acting like a child. No child acts like that and the things she says to make them end up together…

I probably won't be writing full reviews for this series, as I'd rather spend my time catching up on the stories as quickly as possible, but this book was like a big bear hug and a cup of warm tea by the fire. Complete and total comfort read, and I cannot wait to see how the rest of the Arrowood brothers' books play out.

super sweet, emotional and absolutely swoon worthy, but also predictable—though not glaringly so. i mean, this kind of story is archetypal. mostly i really enjoyed it bcs:
the characters are likeable for the most part. i feel like the hero is a bit too agreeable or two dimensional. the romance is beautiful and well timed. the angst didnt really get to me bcs, though the writing is touching, its also a little cheesy for my taste.
i have something to say about the abuse subplot (how parts of it i think are conveniently dealt with and quite far fetched) and the main characters’ living condition, but ultimately those didnt irk me all that much to deter me from liking the book.
the next book is also a second chance romance, albeit a different kind than this. its honestly one that is not really up my alley. but i think i’ll still give it a go, and im going to round this book up to 4 stars if i find the next standalone to be less favorable.

2) its set in a small town/ranch area. though the book doesnt really talk much about the lifestyle of it unless in passing.
3) theres a cute seven year old. and in case i dont say this enough, i loovvveee adorable kids in books.

I'm probably the only person who read this book who didn't fall in love with the story.
This could be entirely my own issue, but I didn't connect at all with the characters nor the plot.
The story progression was too slow for me for just about the first half of the book and then things seemed to move too fast between the Hero and Heroine during the second half.
There are so many five-star reviews out there for this book, so this may be a true page-turner for fans of Corinne Michaels.

This is a story you want to enjoy without spoilers. You'll feel. You'll laugh and smile. And you'll reflect. There's something to be said about natural/real connections. I believe in them.

Amazing start of new series. This is a beautiful second chance love story. This story is everything you expect from Corinne.

I literally binge read this book. I was enthralled and captivated with the story and Connor & Ellie. I loved Connor, the youngest Arrowood brother. Both Connor and Ellie are hurt by those close to them.
“Family is what matters in this life, without that, you have nothing. When we cross this threshold, we’re back home. We’re with those who love us and this, my sweet boy, is where you will always belong.”
The story had heartfelt emotions and was heart meltingly beautiful. I don’t want to give any spoilers but this is definitely a Must Read and such an amazing start of this new series. I am looking forward to reading the other Arrowood brother stories and find out how their stories would unfold and they get their HEA. I was excited and looking forward to reading this book since I saw the teasers about the book on social media and had already preordered my copy and was anxiously waiting for Jan , I was absolutely over the moon when I received the advance copy of this book from the author. It’s beyond what I had expected and took me by surprise in the best possible way. I can’t wait to re-read it again when I get my preordered kindle and audiobook copies . Perfect narrator choice for Connor & Ellie’s characters I can’t wait to listen Zachary Webber & Andi Arndt bring this story to life. Looking forward to reading more books in this series. Definitely worth all the stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I look through the window for the hundredth time. I keep checking to make sure she’s really there and that this isn’t some alternate reality I’ve created in my head. Right now, I trust nothing because I’m not really sure I’m alive and this isn’t limbo.
It’s as if I’ve been living in black-and-white but have just stepped into full color and the vividness of life around me is blinding.
Do you see that tree out there? … That’s where my brother convinced me that I was a descendant of Superman and that flying was in my blood. He also told me that he had a vial of kryptonite, and if I didn’t take my chances on the flying thing, I would die… and I broke my nose and two ribs.
“To me, my mother died a born again virgin.” He’s so stupid. “From what you’ve told me about your father’s undying love for her, I’m going to guess that isn’t true. Also, she had four boys in five years. That’s a lot of sex.” His face scrunches. “No, that’s one time each, and they never touched again.”
Do you know what else I’m afraid of?… The Tooth Fairy… She’s so creepy! Who comes into your room when you’re sleeping and takes teeth? If I could be anything cool, it wouldn’t be that.
My Review:
Gasp, I checked Goodreads and this is the first time I have ever read a Corinne Michaels’ book – where have I been?!? I am chastising myself for my sloth as I’ve been missing out – Ms. Michaels definitely has the word voodoo. This emotive story hit all the feels and told an engaging, sweet, and heart-squeezing romance between lively hits of levity and scorching hot steam. I made the rookie mistake of reading in a public waiting room and had to shut my Kindle down and seek out ice water to avoid totally embarrassing myself with involuntary noises and ragged breathing. Clutch the pearls! I adored these characters and hope I’m paying attention when the rest of the series hits the assembly line.

I made the rookie mistake of reading in a public waiting room and had to shut my Kindle down and seek out ice water to avoid totally embarrassing myself with involuntary noises and ragged breathing. Clutch the pearls! I adored these characters and hope I’m paying attention when the rest of the series hits the assembly line.

This book, these characters, this story.....it was EVERYTHING!!!! This is one story you MUST read, if you read any books this year make sure this is one of them! Corinne has once again given us an amazing start to a series that I feel is going to be one INCREDIBLE ride with these Arrowood brothers. This story was one emotional journey that had me so immersed with the outcome I couldn't for the life of me put it down. All I can say is this had ALL THE DAMN FEELS and hands down a TOP READ for me, one I ABSOLUTELY will recommend!

OMG. Wow. I am trying to gather the words on just how spectacular this book was. Corinne will make you hope and believe and then rip your heart out. She’ll mend it in the end giving you that heartwarming ache from a great romance. It was about second chances, facing fears and redemption.
For Connor coming back to the one place he vowed never to return was a turning point. It brought him back to his angel. And Ellie needed to conquer bigger demons and fears. She needed the love and care of a real man to guide her. Together they seemed to weave together reuniting and overcoming those fears together. They had an undying connection that even with past demons trying to break them apart their bond couldn’t be stronger.
Oh and who could forget the sweet and innocent Hadley. She was so adorable and the way she wormed her way into Connor’s heart was so precious.
And damn Corinne for introducing us to more Arrowood brothers. Each are going to own a piece of my heart. I know I just finished but I need more.

Honestly this book took me by surprise. First of all, I love all things Corinne Michaels. but this book, this book was so amazing, didn't see the turns coming, caught me off-guard, and the swoon, and did I say so wonderfully surprised. All I really have to say is Move over Salvation series men, the Arrowood brothers are coming for you and they are bringing out the big guns. The Swoon is off the charts, the emotions are all there. I fell utterly head of heels in love with Connor and you will too. This book will leave you breathless and waiting and wanting all the Arrowood boys. TOP book for 2020! ALL THE DAMN STARS IN THE SKY!

This book!!!! THIS BOOK took me to places I didn't think I wanted to be and yet, Ms. Michaels took me there as a willing captive; one that eventually admitted to herself that Connor Arrowood had done the IMPOSSIBLE!!! He has overtaken my undying, unconditional love for a Dreamboat of a man and I'm not at all ashamed to admit it! He is ALLLLL the things I've come to expect from this author....and sooooooo much more!
In typical Corinne Michaels fashion, this book has enough angst and drama to sink a battleship! Especially when it comes to what the Arrowood brothers have had to deal with and overcome from a past none of them thought they'd HAVE to, and what Ellie and her daughter Hadley are currently being subjected to. I thought my heart would explode into a million tiny little pieces....and it DID, but then, Connor's Alpha-to-the-MAX swoon factor kicked in and I was a goner! Completely and TOTALLY obliterated my heart for any other! Although, to be fair, I think the OTHER Arrowood brothers may just give Connor a run for his money because, from what I already know about them, their DNA is STRONG and they are cut from the same cloth, sooooooo.........
As for Ellie, I don't know that I have EVER felt THIS much emotion for a heroine (certainly not one of Ms. Michaels') Ellie is so amazing, so resilient, so strong (even if SHE doesn't think so!) Her fierce love for Hadley, the daughter she would die to protect, her willingness to do whatever it takes to get out of the situation she finds herself in (through no fault of her own) and her vulnerable heart made me fall just as much in love with her as I did with the sexy-as-all-get-out neighbor of hers! And Hadley!!!!! My heart cracked wide open while getting to know this little spit-fire (right along with Connor and everyone else!) I can't wait to see what happens with her in the future! I'm sure it'll be hilarious to watch her wrap ALL of the Arrowood men around her tiny little finger!
Once again, THIS BOOK has wrapped itself around my heart and gotten into my soul in a way that few books ever do! I can say with confidence that Come Back For Me will remain on my TOP READS LIST of 2020 throughout the year.....it's just THAT good! It's a DEFINITE MUST READ, imo!

If you want to read a book that is sweet and people are happy all the time, then this is not the book for you because Corinne Michaels will make you feel everything. Come Back For Me is another one of her masterpieces that will put you through the ringer. It is the first book of her new series featuring four brothers with a traumatic upbringing from a small farm town. This book features Connor, the youngest of the Arrowood brothers, who headed home upon a medical release from the Navy Seals only to learn his father had passed.
So many emotions! This book is raw and real and goes into great detail about their past and an unspeakable truth that bonded them for life almost a decade ago. They made a vow to protect and take care of each other, and even though they each have separate lives as adults, they have honored that vow, and have dutifully come together to submit to their father’s last wishes in order to inherit his land.
It’s so hard to put into words how this book affected me. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, you need to discover and experience each one on your own, but trust me when I say this book is not for the faint of heart. Ellie is a local elementary school teacher, and you feel her anguish as she bravely navigates an abusive marriage and plans to escape. She is hardworking, humble and sweet, and is so remorseful for the choices she made knowing that they have affected her daughter, Hadley, who is a ray of sunshine and her main priority.

Oh, the swoon! The beautiful, emotional, utterly romantic swoon! Corinne Michaels starts off her new series with a second-chance love story with a twist, a tortured heroine, an adorable 7-year-old, and a tormented but loving hero to die for. I loved it!
Connor Arrowood is a retiring navy SEAL, returning from deployment and dragged back to the family farm in the small country town that holds nothing but bad memories. He and his four brothers endured hell at the hands of their father growing up. Connor is the youngest and escaped as soon as he could into the military, but he still bares the emotional scars of all that he endured. The shining light in his life is the incredible one night stand he shared with a stranger right before he deployed, and the memory of that night plays over and over in his mind both thrilling him and tormenting him that he’ll never have it again. So imagine his surprise when he is forced to return to his family’s farm following the death of his father to fix it up to sell, and he meets the woman living on the farm next door – the same woman that he has been unable to forget from all those years ago.
Ellie’s world comes to a grinding halt when Connor comes back into her life. She never expected to see him again, and though she is secretly thrilled, she is dealing with her own hell. Her life is heartbreaking, and her only joy is her adorable 7-year-old daughter, Hadley, who forms an instant bond with Connor, meaning that there’s no way that the two of them are able to avoid each other. And when Ellie runs into real trouble, Connor is there for her and Hadley when they need him, creating the perfect opportunity for an emotional reconnection.
That’s all I’m going to say about the story, because you just need to dive in and experience this book. It’s a story of heartache and healing, of love, family and second chances, and of overcoming the past and finding your place in the world. Told with so much heart, Michaels has really brought the feels with this one!

The romance! OMG, the romance! Connor is a dream come true with his patience, honesty, and huge, huge heart. He sees his situation as the second chance that it is, and he’s there for Ellie in every way possible, prepared to fight for the woman that he wants, and it’s so beautiful to watch.
Oh swoon!
Ellie has been through hell, but she doesn’t let that stop her when faced with the man that she’s never been able to forget. I love her strength and her courage to move forward, and the resulting love story is sweet, emotional, and super swoony.
Little Hadley is a total scene-stealer. She’s bold and brave, and the relationship that she develops with Connor is absolutely gorgeous! She’s a bright light in this dramatic story, and I loved her, and her own storyline that unfolded throughout the book.
We are also introduced to Connor’s older brothers who will each get books in the series. They are a great bunch – all very different, but with definite similarities and a strong bond, and with hints at their stories to come, I can’t want to read more about them! Eldest brother, Declan is next up with another second-chance-romance, and I am so freaking excited for his and Sydney’s story!
There is some drama, but it’s handled well, tying into the story without overwhelming it, and creating a beautifully emotional read. I really loved this one.

What a beautiful story!
I have been a longtime fan of Corinne Michaels' powerful and emotional love stories. They always pack a major punch and leave me addicted for more. Connor and Ellie in Come Back For Me are no different. They had such an amazing connection that jumped right off the pages! I was immediately pulled in and committed.
Here’s what I loved:
I absolutely died for Connor's dedication and committment to Ellie. He never forgot their one night together and made it known that she was always his, even years later. Gah! A man after my own heart!
Anyone who knows me also knows that I loveee kids in stories. I’m a sucker for the babies, yo! Ellie and her daughter's relationship was beautiful. It was so engaging and well written.
Overall, I was majorly invested in this story about two broken people finding their way back to one another again. I lurved it!!

I have devoured everything that Corinne Michaels has written since I discovered her at the beginning of the year, and this book.. This is her most heartbreaking, emotional, all consuming, has you on the edge of your seat romance she has ever written.
We are introduced to Connor, who is being medically discharged from being a SEAL, finds out that his father -- whom he has had no contact with since he enlisted -- has passed away and he and his three brothers have to go back to the one place they swore they would never return. When he learns that he must stay in his hometown and on his family's farm for at least six months in order for him and his brothers to get their inheritance, Connor is livid. He wants nothing to do with the town that he escaped, or the memories that are never far from his mind. But when he rescues an adorable little girl that is hiding in his tree house, but then meets her mother that has haunted his dreams for the last eight years.

THIS BOOK. Lordy, I was a bundle of emotions at 20% in, and I didn't stop tearing up/full on crying until the end. This is book is EVERYTHING! And of course it wouldn't be a Corinne Michaels book without a hell of a twist that had me SHOOK.
It's best to go in this book blind, to really appreciate the beauty and the strength these two characters encompass. Just know that once you start, you won't be able to stop!!
**also, we get to see some of our favorites -- Liam and Quinn!! I absolutely adore those two, and to see them and Connor's friendship is everything I didn't know I needed!
The ending of this book had me so excited for Declan's book!! I can't wait to see where this amazing author takes us with these incredible brothers!

He wants nothing to do with the town that he escaped, or the memories that are never far from his mind. But when he rescues an adorable little girl that is hiding in his tree house, but then meets her mother that has haunted his dreams for the last eight years.

Holy Wow!!! This book. This man. This couple. That adorable little girl. Their story. My heart is so full right now! Corinne Michaels has done it again with the first in this new series that promises to be absolutely amazing, if this first book is any indication, and it certainly is!! What a sweet, tender, heartwarming, yet at times gut wrenching, second chance love story that will restore your faith in love, family, the truth and redemption. Words cannot express how much I love Connor, Ellie and Hadley. The scenes between Connor and little Hadley had me smiling as much as they had me sobbing like a baby while the scenes with Connor and Ellie had my heart expanding and seriously swooning. Suffice it to say my emotions were all over the place as is commonplace while reading Corinne's books. After meeting the other Arrowood brothers, I can safely say I am already looking forward to their stories and HEAs for them as well. They all deserve it! What a fantastic book! Bravo Corinne!!

What an amazing start to this new series!! I have a feeling readers are going to fall fast and hard for the Arrowood brothers! The first of the brothers, Connor, is a Navy seal and has connections to some much loved characters from Corinne's Salvation Series. He's discharging from the Navy and ends up back in the one place he and his brothers vowed they would never return to. But fate has other plans for him. No sooner does he return, but he comes face to face with the woman he had a one night stand with 8 years ago, the angel he never thought he would see again. Turns out, she lives on the farm right next to his father's.
Ellie has never forgotten about Connor either, constantly wondering what her life would have been like if she hadn't disapeared the morning after their one night together. Now her life is a living hell, the only bright spot in it her daughter Hadley. Once she sees Connor again, it's clear that connection she had 8 years ago is still alive and strong. She needs a way out of the nightmare she's living on a daily basis.
Corinne knows how to rake reader's hearts over the coals. Parts of this story are not for the faint of heart. My heart broke for all that Ellie and Hadley went through, and rejoiced when Connor stepped in and refused to leave them alone. I loved seeing these two characters find their way back to each again. There's a couple of hefty revelations that come to light, and a twist towards the end that stopped my heart!
We also get snippets of the other Arrowood brothers, and I am dying to get my hands on Declan's story! Oh hell, I'm dying to get my hands on ALL of the stories! I'll try to be patient!
All I can say is Corinne has another winner on her hands with this series! It has all the feels, a good bit of drama, alot of passion and twists and turns that had me glued to the pages. I can't recommend this book highly enough!

Ellie had a hiccup the night before she married Kevin. She hooked up with a stranger and has been thinking about him since. Ellie had no idea she’d run into him again 8-years later on her driveway. Seeing him reminds Ellie of all the bad choices she’s made. She’s stuck in an abusive marriage with no way out, wishing her and her daughter had a different, better life.
Connor vowed to never fall in love, but he can’t help but give his heart to Ellie. He wants to save her, protect her. When he returned home, Connor didn’t think he’d fall in love, let alone become a dad. But here he is, giving his heart wholly to the two girls that landed at his doorstep.
Come Back for Me by Corinne Michaels is the first book in the Arrowood Brothers series. I enjoyed this small town romance full of heart, pain and second chances. Although I feel their relationship progressed quickly, I still enjoyed Connor and Ellie’s romance. I loved Connor’s relationship with Hadley and seeing him open his heart up to having a family. The book left off on a cliffhanger and has me dying to read book two. 4/5 stars.

How do I even put into words how amazing this book is?! Connor brings to life my favorite things in a hero—military, sexy, and an overall good guy. Ellie overcomes so much during the story and it was amazingly well written.
This book had a totally captivating storyline that really hooks you from the very beginning. I couldn’t put it down once I started it!! I’d give it 10 stars if I could!!
